Welcome to the MLP Forums May 2024 Art Contest

Art Contests will start every month. In some months there may be a theme, and that may be a character, a general emotion, holiday, or prompt.

The theme for this month is:

The World's A Tourist Trap

Requirements

Quote

"A tourist trap is an establishment (or group of establishments) created or re-purposed with the aim of attracting tourists and their money. Tourist traps typically provide overpriced services, entertainment, food, souvenirs, and other products for tourists to purchase."

- Wikipedia

• Create a scene of characters (canon and/or OC's of any MLP generation) at a tourist trap somewhere in Equestria (G4 and G5)
  • It can be a parody of an IRL tourist trap, an original one you created, or one that was portrayed in official MLP media
• Characters on a vacation is not necessarily a tourist trap in itself! Please see the definition above for specifics
• Animations are allowed
• All members of MLPF are eligible including staff
• No AI art will be accepted, however it can be used for initial inspiration
• Photoshopping or editing images created by others to make your submission is not allowed

 

Deadline

Submissions will close at midnight EST on May 28th, 2024.

 

Judging

Voting will be open from May 29th - June 3rd, 2024. Afterwards, voting will be finalized and results will be posted as soon as we are able to share them.

 

Winners

Winners will be granted the Canterlot Artist Rank and Badge. All entries will be eligible to receive an Art Achievement Bronze Badge. Future participation will count toward Silver and Gold Art Badges.

I checked it in the "+ create" option, and I'm almost sure it's because a submission page for this month's contest wasn't created yet, only the March and April ones appear, I guess you'll need to wait for them to create the May one

Although I DO feel an overwhelming urge to draw recently, I just hope I have notebook space! 

And I now have a reason to dust off the old pony OCs other than Wintergreen and draw some ponies!

It's @Nitobit that made this Jedi Shiny as a gift for me! It was very nice from him and I'm very grateful to have a silver lightsaber!
