Spotify Wrapped 2024

2024 is nearly at its end. What a...ride, to say the least. Ignoring everything else, we have MUSIC. 

#1 artist and song are no surprise to me. Surprised that Static X managed to be in the top 5 again though.

I don't use Spotify anymore, but Apple Music does the same thing.

Top 5 albums from right to left: Imaginal Disk, End of Evangelion soundtrack, From a Basement on the Hill, Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club, and Elliott Smith's self titled album.

I think 87,144 minutes is around what I had last year. Top artist and album isn't surprising at all. Elliott's been my top artist every year since 2020, and Imaginal Disk is my favorite album of the year by a huge margin.

Oh yeah, music is my most consumed form of media by a lot. I make up my lack of movie and TV show watching by listening to new albums and artists instead .

I use Youtube's normal app instead of Spotify or even YT Music since I listen to a lot of vinyl rips that are unavailable on everywhere except YT. Curiously I opened YT Music and apparently it tracks my listening a bit though I'm not sure exactly how.

It gave me a recap on my private YT account and I'm sure it's understating it heavily because 44 hours worth of listening on just one artist alone feels way too small:

Strangely enough, I didn't really get a personal Spotify Wrapped (likely cuz I haven't used it very often aside from listening to some podcasts and some music on there). Though I did get my Spotify for Artists Wrapped as you'll see here:

These were my stats as an artist on Spotify. I post my work on other platforms, though this was shared with me as a verified artist on there (Spotify).
