Faust did in FiM what she did in Fosters' Home for Imaginary Friends, as well as a Powerpuff Girls, aiming to make things very gender neutral. And it worked. I'm cool with lesbian ships but if the characters seem very out of character with words and actions it ruins an otherwise nice experience. I've read a few "clopfics" that focused lightly on the sex and more on how they would deal with the relationship. Getting onto a personal level like that always feels like you've been let in on the secret and you can't help but root for the characters as they struggle with the situation. Each argument can be heartbreaking but that can make the reunion that much sweeter. I think I overall enjoy the love story. The sex of the characters involved really has little impact for me. Anyone can be happy with anyone else. Love is the important part. "The dead don't talk. Awesome, welcome to the herd On topic, I do support the lesbian ships. Of course it always depends on how well it's written; I think quality of writing can make or break any ship. I've once read a Spike x Rainbow Dash shipping, lol. I personally don't mind any sort of shipping, so long as it's a good read.
