Shrek 2 is the best, but the first movie is awesome too, it's really sad how bad was Shrek 3, i've never watched Shrek 4 and i don't really wanna do it, i'm happy with the second one being the last

Personally, my favorite Shrek movie is the first one. Tons of nostalgia right thar.

Shrek 2 is my favorite! The characters were all great, especially the Fairy Godmother. The humor was good, and the singing near the climax of the movie brought great atmosphere. I need a hero!

There's a Shrek 4...? 

Anyway, the first was a classic and it set the scene for all of the others.

I quite liked that whole adventure to the castle which was pretty exciting, it wasn't too complicated of a story and there was funny times all around. 

Shrek 2 was a good sequel, but number 3, I don't even know. It didn't really appeal all that much.

It has to be the original. While I liked the second one a lot, I just felt that the first one did it the best. I thought it was a lot funnier and the story was better. Honestly, Shrek 3 and 4 ,to me, are pretty easy to forget about.

The original Shrek is fricken' amazing Shrek II was also pretty damned good in its own right. 

Everything after that? Err...nope

I gotta go with one, though. Loved that movie and I remember going to see it in the theatres Nostalgia

To be honest I can't choose a best...but if I had to I would habe to go with the first.
