My first MLP drawings! (Updated again, new tablet! :D)

The last three pieces you posted where really well done, especially the manga'd up version of Fluttershy; it gives me some ideas to work on later.

 

As a piece of constructive criticism though, the first two had a very strange reflective piece garnished on the manes of the ponies. It comes off almost like metal or glass. Lovely backgrounds though, nice and simple is sometimes the best way to do it.

I have to ask, what program did you use to get the image done with the Fluttershy picture? I mostly deal in Illustrator CS5 so all of my images turn out Vector based and I've been trying to get that type of quality in some projects I have planned in the future.

All I did was use a thin brush and stabilizer in Paint Tool SAI.

I use SAI for all of my drawings.

I have no idea what Vector is. ^^

Vector comes out sharp and clean and you can re-size the image of a vectored base of work without losing any of the quality in the process; it's a bit more difficult to use since it doesn't contain a lot of image manipulation's like Photoshop and the learning curve might off put some people using it. Illustrator's more about the creation process than anything else. You can check out my DA page for examples, it's all I use right now.

Holy crap! You have some talent. I saw the Fluttershy drawing on EqD, but didn't know until now that the artist was a member here.

 

EDIT: Regarding the Fluttershy pic, I saw a comment on the deviation page pointing out that the grass was blowing one way while the hair, another way. Didn't notice that 'til now, but really is the only flaw I see.

Anyways. IT'S GREAT! I WOULDN'T BE ABLE TO DRAW THIS! Not even in like next 10 years. The Fluttershy is soooo sad yet great. I also want to be able to draw like that. Yes, not really much of constructive critisism, I know. But I just wanted to say it's great.

If you're talking about deleting on dA, you don't have to! If you edit the picture, it will allow you to upload a new picture to replace the old and it still keeps all the other information such as description, comments, favorites, views, etc. Only thing it's changing is the picture itself.
