I thought my life was finally getting better,

I thought I was back on track.

 

But there was a crick on the way,

and now I'm off the rails.

 

A life I thought I would live is dead,

replaced with a cold emptiness within my chest.

 

Serenity was right,

I was going to end up hurt.

 

I truly thought she was the one to change my life,

the one who would give me a chance to live.

 

Now I see I don't deserve happiness,

I don't deserve to love.

 

I guess I'm ok with this now,

as it seems I am meant to be sad.

 

Oh well,

I wonder if I will truly find the one who will treat me with love.

 

Maybe someday in this horrible sea of lies,

there will be a boat to take me ashore.

 

One can truly hope,
