Carrick gave a relieved sigh, "That was pretty good, Starbolt." Carrick said. "We have a good team on our hands." Carrick thought aloud as he walked inside the treehouse. So much had happened since we teleported to that Castle. So much information and even more will pop in when I question Trixie again. That rabbit hole hasn't stop getting any deeper. It feels like it's never-ending.

 

"Now," Carrick said with as he adjusted his trench coat. "We have some work to do." Carrick took out his notepad and place on the desk. He wrote down the notes. That things that had transpire inside the cave. Twilight Sparkle....what happen to you?

"What I want to know is why Twilight was in those caves." Starbolt said.

"Twilight Sparkle..." Carrick looked at his notepad. "her calmness when we saw her. It's like she was never captured at all."

 

"It didn't seem like the guards from the prison either. I had an odd feeling about them, a feeling of bad presence but, her....it was like nothing had happened to her at all." Carrick took the book in from the desk. "Psychology..." He muttered to himself.

 

"She then said that if Trixie talks that it would be a problem..." Carrick turned to Trixie.

 

"Me? Trixie does not know what happened to Twilight until Trixie saw it with her own eyes. Just as you did."

 

Carrick nodded. She's not lying...

"Hmm.. but that doesn't change the fact that she did indeed say 'if trixie talks that could be a problem' the only explanation I can think of... no it couldn't be... I mean, its not like twilight could be working with Ice Star right?" Blaze asked

"I fear that's are only explanation." Carrick said, "Which means that we could also assume that the other five ponies could be with Ice Star as well. We need to find this Ice Star as soon as possible. If we continue to hold it off for longer than I fear it might be a disaster."

'Ice Star. Why does that name sound so familiar.' She Thought

"No, well not really. He has managed to elude all of the Royal Guard, all while being the most wanted. No one knows where to find him because he seems to be a step ahead of all that chase after him. We do have trixie, she was with Ice Star for a while, mayhaps she knows a location he could be found at" Blaze explained

"Carrick does Trixie know where Ice is?" Starbolt asked.

"Well, I'd have to ask Trixie first." Carrick turned to Trixie.

 

"When Trixie went to train with Ice Star Trixie was blindfolded when went up to his house. When Trixie got the blindfold off we were on a big mountain very far away from any ponies close by. It must been at least around the edges of Equestria."

 

"Could you see a landmark?"

 

"It was hard to see below as it was. Clouds were blocking the way. Where ever we were it must been away from Pony and Peagsi's cities as well. The clouds were moving by themselves instead of Peagsi."

 

"Could you see other mountains as well?"

 

Trixie shook her head.

 

"It's something. It would have to be a big mountain for it to overshadow the smaller ones. However, if I'm not mistaken there are a few mountains that do that." Carrick rubbed his hoof.

"Here's a thought, MIND CONTROL," Yhunder said as he made his eyes spin around. "We already know he can do it. And as for the caverns, they were devoid of gems so we can mark out dragon feeding grounds."

"It wasn't as simple as mind control. There would have been a dark aura of mp surrounding her if that was the case. No it is not as simple as mind control, it is more like, he used magic to actually change twilight's mind for her. Mind control is different as in it is like a puppeteer controlling a puppet, the 'puppet' has no say in what they do and has no memory of what they did afterword. This was different because it seemed like she was conspiring with him, giving her input, mind control makes it so the pony who casts it knows everything that the puppet does instantly. There would be no need for the master to talk to the puppet." Blaze explained.

"Regardless, we still have to worry about Twilight. She isn't exactly on our team anymore. We'd have to just find where the hell Ice Star live. Maybe there will be some sort of clue that would open this case up."

"He is a wanted man...maybe they have a picture of him in the castle? I also have another idea....we ask the Princess maybe she knows were we can find him, He sister Luna might know something as well."Said Ponyborn

"That could be a problem. Let's say we do get into contact with Princess Celestia. If Celestia was told by guards that we'd made a jail break to Trixie. Than we'd go have a big problem which could lead to jail." Carrick replied.

 

"I think the best course of action right now is to see this Ice Star's house," Carrick look at the books and scrolls in the shelves. Carrick found a book called The Map of Equestria. Carrick placed the book on the desk and got to a page where it had all of Equestria on it. Carrick saw the mountains that were on the west edges of Equestria. "We'd have to find a way up there." Carrick said he pointed a mountain that had shown to bigger than all the other mountains. "Fool's peak." Carrick muttered to himself.

 

"The question is how to get there. Can we fly up that high? Or even teleport there?"

"We could take th friendship express to the base of the mountain," Thunder said while backfloating in the air

"Flying at the altitude would only be possible with some oxygen magic. Teleporting wouldn't be a good idea since we have never been there before. We could end up teleporting into the mountain, and we would all die. Friendship express probably would be the best course of action, but I need to rest up, my magic power is all used up so I say we take a day to assess the situation and rest." Blaze suggested.

Carrick nodded, "I'm pretty sure everypony is tired from what the events that had been transpire this past day. Resting a day would be a great idea. I'll decide on what are next plan of action is later." Carrick saw the two beds and the small bed that Spike had been in. "You ponies decide what to do about the sleeping arrangement. I have some work to do."

 

Spike slept calmly. Carrick shook his head, I dunno if I should tell him about Twilight. Carrick turned to his head back to the desk. He grabbed his notepad and read his notes again. What part do you belong to Twilight? Do you belong to side of Justice? Carrick doesn't have enough information to tell if she was fully on the side of Ice Star or not. Large cracks of red were on his eyes again. He gave a big yawn and shook his head.

 

I don't think we'll see Ice Star there. If he's smart, he probably knows that Trixie is out of jail. He's probably on the move. Not sure if he was reckless enough to leave us a clue, but we must push forward. Carrick continued to read all the notes he has read. This is going to be a long night...

"You ponies can have the beds." Said Starbolt as she conjured a magical shimmering cloud and slept on it.
