Starbolt suddenly regained consciousness. She slowly sat up, she noticed she no longer had a bite mark. She turned to Carrick who was still unconscious. She walked towards him and sat next to him. "Hey Carrick, are you alright?" She asked him, not sure if he was conscious or not.

Blood continued to wait, when his vision blurred further he started to bleed from his eyes profusely. He sighed as this happened. The time he spend working with Ice Star wasn't as dandy as he had thought.

Carrick got back from his consciousness, he looked around as he saw Starbolt above him, "Yeah, I think I got healed by somepony." He knew that Starbolt couldn't of done it. The only pony who would of done it was...He turned to the wall and saw neither Blood or Corpus. Carrick remembered that he kept pressing on about his back-up plan. He said that he would be fine, because of his back-up plan. He wonder what he meant. Still, he hugged Starbolt and said to her, "I'm sorry...."

"I-I was scared..... But it's okay." She said hugging him back. She got his trench coat which was stained with her blood. "Uhh... Here sorry it's stained." She said as she handed it to Carrick. "Who healed us?" She finally asked.

Blood looked around the room and knew there was no way out, he took a few more breaths before his vision was gone. He sat there calmly, not doing anything for a few moments before he fell completely limp. All of his life force had utterly disappeared.

"Uh, you keep it" Carrick said, he really didn't want a blood stained trench coat. He'll get a new one, later. As well as a new fedora...if they get out of here. "I'm not sure, I think it was...him" He was referring to Corpus. "I guess he really does need me alive, since I'm pretty sure Blood would of gotten us killed." He said.

As Blood's presence left the area, a few minutes later, The Blood Sand had a rather large magical wave erupt and then seemed to have just walked it'self out the door. The Sand had just disappeared from radar.

Corpus felt a long sense of magic erupted from somewhere. He was rather busy however, the magic that he has attained how made him almost overload with magic. He has become stronger, but at a price that would make Ice Star rather peeved. He wonder if it was mister Blood....

"Grrr, this fairy is getting on my nerves, it won't leave me alone, and it keeps trying to play charades with me" Blaze said as he swatted at Fae with his tail. "Go bother some other pony." Right as he said that a sealed scroll teleported in the room and landed in front of Blaze. It was a letter from princess Celestia. He unsealed the letter and began to read it.

 

"Dear Blaze,

I am very busy at the moment but your information may just be too important to overlook, so I accept your request for an audience with me. Be here tomorrow at high noon.

 

Sincerely Princess Celestia"

 

"Holy Celestia of Equestria, we have a audience with Celestia!" Blaze exclaimed.

Starbolt kept Carrick's trench coat with her. "Well your trench coat will go with the fedora you left behind." She said jokingly. "So we are just going to wait here? You aren't planning to escape?" She asked Carrick.

 

Fae decided she would follow Blaze until he realizes that Starbolt is missing.

Blood was walking of the terrain quite a few miles out from the tower with the Blood sand and his Staff on his back. He looked rather irritated now. He decided to deal with this problem like others.

With a complaint letter.

Carrick thought about, he looked around at the walls. He wonder something, he had a small feeling in the back of his head, he saw a small mark on the wall. Could this be? "Starbolt, is there a way to tell if somepony used magic here?" He wonder if MP sense would work still even without using magic.

((Blaze is not going to realize that Starbolt went missing, the premonition still has to be fullfilled, Starbolt has to somehow be in an oasis near filly, and Hypno is supposed to use astral projection.))

Blaze began to ascend the stairs to the office to tell Daeva the news he had just received.

"Yes, if you cast magic it leaves a slight signature behind. Kind of like a foot print in the snow. Why do you ask?" She replied to Carrick.

Carrick pressed the the wall, "Than I think we might be able to break out of this damn wall, if you're willing to take the risk." Carrick said with a grin. Out of the risk he has taken today, this would be the biggest one.

I have realized that allying myself with you was a obvious mistake if being accused of attacking a prisoner of war gets you a grade A trip to getting your senses taken away.

I've had to die and come back to life already, i don't intend to do this much, for your information. It's nuisance to die, and it hurts, obviously

Besides this i have noticed that this other pony you sent me to is obviously in a bit more control than i thought. He annoys me personally, and so does your prisoners.

We will no longer be working with each other in the near future.

Blood closed up the letter and used his magic to teleport it back to the room he had first talked to Ice Star in, hoping he would get it. After that he continued walking.

"Sure I'm willing to take a risk if it means we are getting out of here." She said to Carrick. "What do you need me to do?" She asked as she looked at the wall Carrick was putting his hoof on.

"We'll be taking a chance, if we get this right. That means there aren't any trap runes anymore. I think that he used the runes on that Blood guy." He saw the indentation on the wall. He could that he used magic here. "A teleportation spell, that's all we need to get out." He said.

 

"However, if I'm wrong...than we'll be blind, deaf, or something else."

Starbolt nodded and she started to etch a portal rune on the wall. She wanted to travel to her home in Canterlot it was the most familiar place to her. "Okay, I'm going to give this a go." She told Carrick as the rune started to take shape.

Blood put the hourglass back into his satchel, then started to whistle and twirl around his staff with nothing to do whatsoever. He just needed to reach a town and rest up momentarily. And possibly receive a reply.

The other rune seemed to have activated as the both Carrick and Starbolt didn't go back into Canterlot and instead in a oasis. Carrick looked around as he saw the giant tower that stood tall. Carrick looked at the water and took a sip, "Well, at least weren't not in a desert." Carrick said.

 

Corpus felt the other trap runic set off, however it seemed to have done something else. Damn...I think I'll need to get somepony on that soon.

 

A message appeared on Blood's head. It was written by Ice Star himself as it had the seal of approve by him. It read:

 

Dear Blood,

 

I do apologize that you aren't able to become to Ice Star. I understand that he can be one of trouble.

If you do wish to go forth on your own path, that is fine. Just be careful not to forth on our plans.

If you change your plans about us, you know where to go..

Blood pulled off the message on his head and read it, he placed it in his satchel afterwards. He started to get more and more pissed off by the second now. He had no allies, his hour glass was still not fixed, he used up a large amount of magic bringing himself back, and Carrick had bested him.

The oasis did look magical, like some pony created this oasis by themselves. The water tasted clean and crisp. The palm trees gave it a tropical feeling even when they seemed closer to the north. Right next to the water was soft yellow sand. It would be a nice vacation if it weren't for the fact that Carrick Murphy was finally out of that tower and the case is needed to be cracked. His eyes were a bit squinting from the sun that was out. Ugh, I'm not used to this yet. Carrick's pupils were big from the darkness in the room for so long. He looked at Starbolt and smiled, "Well, this is kind of romantic." He joked.

Starbolt smiled back. "Hehe. I guess." She said happy that they were no longer in the dungeon. "Where do we go now?" She asked Carrick. She tested her magic and fired a bolt of electricity at a nearby boulder. "I have my magic ready." She added.

"Well, first we stay here for a bit. My eyes needs to get adjusted for staying in that dungeon for too long." Carrick said. He looked around and put his hooves in the water. The quick sense of relief as he finally found something that wasn't too rough for his hooves.

 

He needed to think about what was their next plan. He's been in there for a while, he wonder if ever would of gotten out. He put his hoof on his chin, "Well, the whole reason we went to Fillydelphia was to find him." Carrick said as he referred to Corpus. "We need to find the group and try a second attempt" Carrick said.
