Carrick gave a chuckle. "So you are here because Celestia sent you here? Makes sense." Carrick replied. "Though it does surprise me though. You have learn powerful magic spells yet the name of Ice Star had you worried. By comparison it makes him sound like a god." Carrick said. He took another sip of his cider. It tasted the same just when he was here the last time. Nostalgic feelings of his the case came through his mind. "Even though I'm younger than you, I still feel old" Carrick tipped his hat down.

Thunder sat down at a table where some ponies were playing cards and started playing as he threw darts at a dartboard.

"So what is your story? Why are you a detective?" Blaze asked finishing up his first cidertini, "One more bar keep" Blaze said

Starbolt getting quite bored started to levitate some old bottles and cans and started to shoot her magic at them turning them into slag.

'Ugh there's nothing to do.' She thought, becoming restless.

Trixie went to Thunder. She stare at him as he hit the darts. She had seen this game before however, she was interested since she would have used magic to have thrown the darts. She could only use her hooves just like a pegasus or a earth pony. "Trixie will try," Trixie stated aloud as she took a dart from Thunder. She tried to aim but, when it was thrown. It hit the wall. "Grr" Trixie became frustrated.

Carrick slid the hard cider to Starbolt. "Drink up." Carrick motion for another drink. The barkeeper took another bottle of hard cider and gave it to Carrick. "Me being a detective? I've been wanting to do this my whole life since I was a wee lad. Been reading mysteries of various books. I even took a case when I was like 10. Though it was just a missing apple. I took notes about each and every detail and found out it was the teacher who took it. Been doing cases ever since then, though many were pretty basic. Then I went off to get my detective license about a year ago and here I am. Though, it's only been a year and I've seen messed up stuff." Carrick took a big chug of cider.

 

"Though this one will be up there, that's for sure." Carrick said.

Thunder stood behind Trixie and guided her hoof with his so she could make the shot. "You got this," he whispered in her ear.

"Hmmm... Different story then what expected. I expected some story full of heart ache, like some joker killed your parents and you spent your life training yourself mentally to become the best detective ever just so you could find the guy who did your parents in." Blaze chuckled. "I guess I have been reading to much fiction. I too enjoy a good mystery novel every now and again." Blaze said. "Growing up after my dad died was harsh. I had to go live with my aunt on my moms side. She had always been close with the nobles in canterlot , and always wanted me to marry into a noble family. So she tried training me in the ways of nobility, I didn't want to disappoint her so I did my best, but nobles were afraid of the name pheonixtear. My first special some pony broke up with me because she found out who I am." Now a bit buzzed, he had forgotten that he should not blurt out his last name. As soon as the name 'Pheonixtear' left his mouth the entire bar got quiet. Dead quiet. And every pony was staring at Blaze...

"Do not use that bathroom for any reason it is broken beyond repair......why is everypony staring at blaze?" Said Ponyborn as he left the broken bathroom.

Starbolt lifted up the cider and took a small sip and set it back down. "I don't usually drink." She said.

She listened to what Blaze was saying followed by the awkward silence after he mentioned his name.

Silence and Anger came through the room. The word "Phoenixtears" came out of Blaze's mouth.

 

"What did you say?"

 

"That pony is Blaze Phoenixtear. The son of that famous pirate!"

 

An large blue earth pony comes up to Blaze. "What the hell are you doing here, boy? You ain't welcome around these parts. This ain't your father's bar anymore."

"i would back it up if I were you" Blaze said. "You see, I finally realized just why my father drank Cidertini's so much. They are the only alcoholic beverage thats chemical makeup replenishes ones MP the fastest. One might say, that I am all fired up." Blaze said with a spark in his eye.

The blue pony seem unfazed by Blaze's threat. Instead, it got him more angry. "Are you threating me? I don't take kindly to those kind of threats. So, I suggesting that you get the hell out of here or we're gonna have a problem, boy."

 

Carrick stare the blue pony and Blaze. "How about you back off?" Carrick asked the pony.

 

"What you say?" The blue pony attention went to Carrick. "I said, back off. We don't want any trouble."

 

"How about I give you trouble?" The pony went real close to Carrick. Carrick seemed unfazed by the pony look. He seem just like a poor pony. Didn't take care of himself. Messy mane and tail. Clothes are torn, his eyes bloodshot probably from working too long. His breath fumed with alcohol.

 

"What for? We're just here to get a drink and relax." Carrick said. He took another sip of his cider.

Thunder threw a dart that landed an inch form the blue pony's face. "Listen to the Stallion," he told him.

"How about you have a seat" Blaze said, his horn releasing a small red orb not even an inch in circumference. It was very slow moving and took about 4 seconds to reach the pony. He just sat there watching it get closer until it touched his pony chest. The instant it touched him it released a huge controlled explosion. Sending the pony flying so fast that when he hit the wall he broke straight through it leaving a pony shaped hole in the wall.

"You sure that was a good idea?" Starbolt quietly asked Blaze.

She expected other ponies to attack so she readied herself to cast magic at a moments notice.

"It was a fantastic *hic* idea" Now full blown inebriated "These punks think they can take my dad's bar, they can *hic* go through me first" Blaze said as if he was issuing a challenge to all the patrons of the bar.

Starbolt sighed. 'This is why I don't drink.' She thought.

"Blaze stop it, you're attracting a lot of unwanted attention. We are supposed to be keeping a low profile." Said Starbolt.

"Well, this became a good idea." Carrick said. Ponies started getting out of their chairs and gave them look at Blaze. "Well, usually I would disagree on this matter but," Carrick chucked down the cider. Though he wasn't full drunk, he had a feeling of euphoria around him. He grabbed the bar stool and slammed it on the pony. "Bar fight."

Blaze downed is fourth Cidertini, just as a blue alicorn who was a patron of the bar launched a magic missile straight at Blaze. There was an explosion, some smoke shrouded where Blaze was previously sitting. The blue unicorn let out whoop as if he was happy that he evaporated Blaze. Two seconds later the blue alicorn was on fire running around like a chicken with his head cut off. Blaze had actually teleported at the last moment right behind the blue alicorn. "Sorry were you celebrating something, don't count your hatchens before the chick" Blaze slurred.

Fist were landed on the face of Carrick. A nice shot on his jaw, Carrick shook his head and heatbutted the earth pony infront of him. "You think you can do better than me? Who the hell do you think I am?" Carrick gave the pony a uppercut as he wiped the blood coming from his lips.

 

The ponies in the bar started to surround the group. Three more ponies came after Blaze...

They were surrounded, somehow blaze and the others were grouped up and all around them were the patrons of the bar. His horn glowing Blaze tapped his right hoof on the ground, it created a explosive shock wave that sent the patrons flying in ever direction. Most of them got right back up, advancing towards them once more.

Starbolt pushed a group of patrons in a corner with her and put up a magic barrier around them. And shot a blue bolt of energy at another one sending him flying across the room.

"So much for a low profile guys." She said laughing.

Ponies battered, sore, and bruised from the attacks from the group. They retreated out of the bar, there was no match for this group. Carrick gave a hearty laugh "Yeah, I think it's too late for that." Carrick said to Starbolt. He rubbed his cheek, "We were only here not too long and now, this. Nice shot by the way." Carrick didn't seem to care about the situation. It was probably the alcohol talking.

 

The Bartender didn't seem to mind, he had seen this before in this bar so many times. He wiped the table then, continued cleaning glasses.

She removed her barrier and stared at the ponies she trapped. She let them run out the door.
