As was I! I know what you mean by some of those other pieces of art that crawled from the Uncanny Valley. The first time it "happened" for me was when Youtube comments were being perverted on a Fluttershy video. I got a bit angry that they could be so slanderous, but NOT at viewing her as the subject. That's when it clicked that I saw Fluttershy in the "potential partner" mindset. Needless to say I freaked out a bit. Tell me, do you recall my theory on "the reverse uncanny valley?" I believe I posted it somewhere here.

 

So anyway, Pinkie is bouncing down the aisle! Nah I kid. (That's becoming a catchphrase. I've never had a catchphrase!)

Okay I'm good. Anyway, yes this a highly entertaining thread. It's a somewhat hot topic, but all in all it feels like some are "letting it out" so to speak. Out of the one's that aren't the Mane Six, I've recently discovered some affections for Octavia.

 

 

Octavia's classy, like Rarity, but she's also a bit more calm and reserved. (At least that's the common fan portrayal.) I like that! Also . . . I have a bit of a thing for brunettes. Long dark hair man! It sends me for a loop!

P.S. If you ever feel like sharing those dreams, send a PM. I find them cathartic and entertaining.

There's different levels obviously, what would be the most comfortable you'd be with with your favorite(s)?

 

For me, Tender would really have to be the max, if that. Anything more than that seems pretty off to me, honestly.

I love Octavia, Spitfire, Applejack, Twi, RD, and others. Applejack and Twi in particular I have huge love for with their personalities/appearance, but I wouldn't say I'm actually like in love with them or anything. Not like hugely romantic or anything.

EDIT: I actually just wanna say I deleted my vote and change it to "yes" because I've thought about it, and I've seen that I am a bit more attracted (platonic of course) to them as I thought I would. As long as its nothing too "strong", it's alright with me. Out of all of them though, the ones that I don't find really attractive is Rarity...cause isn't she like supposed to be the most "glamorous" pony of the mane 6? It's just wierd..

I know what you're getting at. Strangely though, that's what I felt like BEFORE this show. After coming to terms with my crush on Fluttershy and Rarity, I lost it. I don't know....I just see the ponies for what they are: cute, adorable creatures, like my pet cat. I don't understand how anyone can get aroused by them......and I'd prefer it to stay that way. I was watching Jack Reacts to Lil Miss Rarity, and the pics from that horrific ask tumblr of rarity I found to be adorable, not sexy.....up until the branding, and then everything else afterwards......at that point it was just horrifying.

I've experienced this in tons of other series, like Zelda, Sonic, etc.

 

As far as being a fan, I'd like to say it's totally normal. I'm glad this thread's grammar really cleared some things up for me, though, I thought getting attactehed to them was something I should be afraid of. O.o But lo, it's a side effect of amazingly-given chacrater.

 

If there's one thing they all have in common that gets me, it's their focused stare....dat smile.... @-@
