Advancing forward, (hopefully) with Starbolt's shield in front of her, she slowly waited to get closer to the ponies, darting out to kill anypony they got near. She turned to Starbolt, who had told her that they needed reinforcements. "We do, don't we." She huffed. We need to get somepony to return to Canterlot to tell Princess Celestia, though neither you or I am a pegasus. If Scout returns here soon, we could send him, but if not, you can make a run for it. I'll be needed here."

Starbolt smiled. Barrier spells were one of her favorites. She also knew many kinds of different types of barriers. "You got it Pinkie." She replied as she covered Pinkie with a barrier. As they advanced Starbolt changed the type of barrier. The Lunarians that attacked were shocked burned frozen and paralyzed by Starbolt's barrier.

Swift re positioned himself and with his shield back up he began slicing down the dogs that were attacking him, "formation.... formation??" he shouted before coming the the conclusion that his brother and sisters in arms were dead "NO!!" he shouted before being struck on his shoulder by an enemy spear.

 

(OOC well unless both sides end up even with no middle partys i may have to, i'm removing the middle party story from Swift and made him a soldier, also i'm being realistic in the situation)

"Suppressing fire!" Captain Lockon Dynames commanded has he used an aim spell which created a magical scope for him to aim with, while pointing a repeating crossbow at Swift and Starbolt.

 

"Move and secure!" Lieutenant Daybreak Belle ordered as she unsheathed a silver violin bow carved into a sword.

 

Task Force 'Mint' had a very tactical strategy, they would cover the close quarters team with repeating bows and generate shields for themselves in case of enemy fire.

"Pinkie we need to support Swift's unit!" Starbolt yelled as she saw Swift get swarmed by Lunarians.

She cast a huge freeze spell freezing everypony in that area including Swift. 'That should buy us some time.' She thought to herself.

Starbolt was faced with a problem. Should she go assist Swift and leave Pinkie here, or stay with Pinkie but abandon Swift.

 

Fae waited for her spell to take effect but she noticed all the guards were already incapacitated. She stopped casting her invisibility spell so she could cast a more complicated spell. Several roots sprang from the ground and wrapped around Applejack.

(OOC It froze everypony in the area. I meant for the area to be quite big so nopony should be attacking Swift for awhile.

Several posts back Starbolt put a black smoke cloud that made it extremely difficult to fly.)

(OOC 2 You don't have to kill Swift. You could have him incapacitated unable to fight.)

I bucked Swift out of his Ice tomb, "Time to go, Swift," I say, dragging him to his feet. "Sir, if you get on my back, I will try to fly us away from here. We need reinforcements." Swift forced his way out of the frost "aaahhhh Retreat!!, get general out of here and to a safe location" He shouted as he raise his shield to block the on coming assault "come on, you dog can do better then this" he said as he bashed his shield with his sword taunting the enemy.

"... Yes sir," he says, flying up to the Solar Ariforce unit, "New orders. Firesand the edge of the Everfree," he says, grabbing a bag.My home... I'm sorry. Orders are orders. His expresion hardend and he dropped his payload on the forest.

Starbolt decided that she could not abandon her commanding officer. "Sorry Swift." She said to herself but she tried to support Swift from where she was. Several more bolts of magic knocked Lunarian Pegasi out of the sky.

Task Force 'Mint' paused a moment after seeing a group of Lunarian soldiers get frozen. They tactically retreated to the Everfree forest to think out a plan.

 

"Alright they've got skilled unicorns so we'll have to take them out while being as far away from them as possible." Captain Lockon said as he pulled his sister into cover. "Alright listen, we'll create magical shields for our close quarters team We will also have to provide supressing fire for them." He added as he moved everypony into position.

 

(OOC: Just in case anypony is confused about Task Force Mint's formation:

Ranged team:

4 other Unicorn Marksman

Magic: Magic shields, Sniper scopes, seeker bolts.

Weapons: Repeating crossbows and silver swords.

Weapons: Combat shield, silver swords.

 

They all wear mint green Lunar Elite armor.)

Starbolt saw the Everfree burning. "Scout. Your home." She whispered to herself knowing that Scout had spent most of his time there and called that place his home. She stood there stopping her onslaught of spells for a time.

Lockon saw their chance to lay a counterattack, "Attack!" Captain Lockon ordered as him and his ranged team fired their repeating crossbows at Starbolt and Scout. They generated shields for the close quarters team to use. "Double time!" Lieutenant Daybreak Belle ordered as she charged with her team under the protection of the generated shields.

Swift saw the forest edge set a blaze and earth pony reinforcements arrived "push them back into the fire, so we can buy time for Pinkie Pie to get out of here , HA! we might even turn this around" he shouted as the re-enforcements formed around him and they began to push them back.

Scout, who was become more sad and angry as his home burned, dodged the spears and bolts and landed next to Swift. "Orders, sir?" he growled through half gritted teeth. One of the arrows had caught him on the leg, but he was to angry at the moment to notice.

Starbolt saw the bolts coming and she put up a ward. In her haste the barrier was not at full strength and she was hit. The barrier reduced the velocity of the bolt so that wound was not fatal, but it hurt. She stepped back. Her vision was hazy but she saw the ones firing at her. She cast one final spell before she passed out. Around the 'Mint' team several glowing marks appeared on the ground, two of the marks detonated sending a wave of frost to freeze anypony hit, the other marks exploded in a wave of fire to burn ponies that got caught in the freezing spell.

 

Applejack was now unconscious from the spells. Fae kept the roots binding her to the ground. She felt something was wrong, Starbolt was hurt she knows it. Fae teleported and disappeared in a flash of dark blue light. She appeared next to Starbolt and saw what was happening. She cast a spell and roots pulled Starbolt underground. 'Starbolt should be safe for now.' She thought to herself.

(OOC Betray the underground???? Never! Unless you think it would make the story better if the underground was caught or falls apart because of Snow persuading Surge to join the Lunar side of thing, and have Razor be convinced by the princess to fight for the Solar kingdom. Or i could turn the underground into a Lunar or Solar faction. Other than that i dont see why i cant get the two sisters to see eye to eye. But i will consider taking out the underground, but will do so without question if Pinkazoid wants it to end. And if i do drop the underground and my OCs can i RP as Luna, Celestia, or both? Its up to you)

Surge bring the wounded pony underground. Take her to the medical ward and quick. She was hit it the head by a magic bolt. Looks at Snow Now do you see why we fight? Reads the tag around her neck. Sapphire. Does that name ring a bell to you Snow? Walks away.

Lockon jumped on his sister and generated a shield on her so she wouldn't be affected by the frost spell or the wave of fire. Captain Lockon and the other members of Mint was frozen and burnt by the wave of fire. Thankfully the armor they wore protected them from most of the damage.

A few minutes later they regrouped at a destroyed building.

 

Applejack dropped her coffee mug and fell to the floor. Lunar unicorn soldiers came with barriers around their heads to protect them from from the sleeping spell. They carried Applejack and other unconscious soldiers to a secondary field headquarters and generated a barrier around it.

Fae hoovered higher and turned invisible watching over Starbolt

Fae's spell put Starbolt several feet underground. The spell began a healing process. It was slow but the wound started to heal.

(OOC heading to bed night everypony.)

The unicorns in Task Force Mint patched up wounds of their own and their teammates. "Alright we still have to punch through their defenses. We will search and destroy their hidden archer positions!" Captain Lockon said as they all mobilized. One by one the Task Force searched and destroyed the archer positions to clear the way for the ground forces and air support.

 

"White Hawks clear that position at the east side!" Lieutenant Daybreak Belle commanded to the air support assigned to help Task Force Mint. The close quarters team moved in after the bombardment with their shield raised.

Fae looked around for any remaining Solarian forces. She encountered several Lunarians but no Solarians were nearby.

'This is not good.' She thought to herself as she flew in the air invisible.

Applejack woke up from the spell after an hour. She had to continue giving orders to her forces. Applejack went up to the megaphone to give Ponyville one last chance to retreat, "ALRIGHT, NOW I'M GIVING ALL OF YA'LL ONE LAST CHANCE TO LEAVE! YOU HAVE 15 MINUTES TO LEAVE PONYVILLE!"

Fae's spell finished and Starbolt found herself on a street in Ponyville. She was still unconscious but alive.

Fae saw that her spell decided to throw Starbolt somewhere else. 'Starbolt where are you?!' She messaged Starbolt, but Starbolt was still unconscious.

Two Lunarians saw Starbolt on the street. She was wearing a Solarian robe so they recognized her as a Solaran.

They approached her, weapons raised..........

 

(OOC Starbolt taken prisoner? How will Scout react to this? Dun dun dun. Octavinyl have the soldiers take Starbolt prisoner.)
