Flutter Dash, and other ships.

So, I know like most of us do that ships aren't going to happen in the show, though I ship Flutterdash but I don't see them as "lovers" more like two people who enjoy eachothers company, and that's a thing I wish to happen, like they can cuddle together etc; So do you guys think any ship would happen in the show and how/why it's probably not going to happen but I'm intrested in your opinions.

Well, I'm a fan of PinkieDash. I think they look cute together. They are both prankster, and they like to have fun. Seems like good enough reason to me.

They have a childhood history together so it could work. I feel like I'm the one who likes hetero pairings. I know in the world of shipping, often hetero couples are frowned upon. Heterosexuality is sick and unnatural to many people on fanfic sites. But yeah. Slim pickings on male suitors when it comes to MLP.

 

But if I had to cross two of the main six. Yeah honestly Flutterdash is the most obvious. They have the most history.

I see Dash as more of a sister to Fluttershy than anything, as she's all Fluttershy isn't, and, having been the one who comes to her rescue so often since they were fillies, has developed such a close relationship, that they're practically sisters. I imagine Dash wouldn't mind being affectionate now and then with her either, in that respect ^^ I'm convinced Dashie has a soft side for those who she loves, it just doesn't show up much, due to her tomboyish nature.

 

As for me, I ship Applejack and Dash the most of any pairing. They're both good friends, friendly rivals, and to me there's chemistry there in the way they act towards one another. They're both very similar when you think about it. Both have some amount of tomboyish-ness to them, both aren't girly at all, etc. Just how I see it, though. To me I could see it happening, but in our society, something that taboo would never happen on a show for kids, so the point is indeed moot.

^ This. Exactly. Pretty much just what I was about to type. Appledash to me seems the most obvious of any of the more popular pairings. They seem to have like this sort of spark. I just don't see Flutterdash. They just seem more of best buddies than actual relationship. For as a homosexual relationship actually being shown in a kid's show like this, it's quite unlikely as it would unfortunately generate a lot of hate and disapproval.(which disappoints me) I wish they would do it though. It would be a positive thing as it would show kids that being gay isn't something to be frowned upon
