An OC I need some input for... And I'll probably give 'im away too~

So I was at a LAN-party with a few friends last night, and after 2-3 hours of constant Warcraft 3-gaming, I got a bit tired of it. And then they started playing RuneScape, BUT THAT'S NOT THE POINT~

 

So I basically thought that I hadn't drawn anything for a while, and I had never drawn an OC-pony without a base before... So I decided to make one.

 

So here you go - my first ever pony-drawing that's pretty much completely my work (no bases n' stuff):

So yeah, what do you think? Please give me your opinion.

His name is Dreamy Cloud... But that's pretty much a WIP-name.

 

 

And also: He might not be finished. I need your input on this:

 

Should he be a pegasus, unicorn or an earth pony?

To help you on the way - His CM is a cloud with bubbles on it. Basically, he's a dreamer, and I thought of his special talent as being dream-based, though this can always be changed!

 

And what should his name be?

 

I just wanted to hear your opinions and ideas before I post this anywhere... Like dA. Well, I guess I just posted him here...

 

 

And to finish this off - I already have an OC. Anypony interested in this one? Just ask~

Whoever get's him get's the first word on anything related such as backstory (you make one, but I can always help~) and special talent (I can always make a new CM if you want to~)

 

So yeah, I'm giving him away if anypony wants him... I might just pick one of ye at random, or the first one. I've not decided that yet!

If i was to give feedback, id say with a name like "Dreamy Cloud" He should be a Pegasus :)

 

Well, Dreamy Cloud was just the name that popped up in my mind when I finished drawing him (as mentioned - a WIP-name). Anyone who gets him, or has a better suggestion can change it~

The drawing looks really good. Good Job! Nevertheless, the eyes lack a proper pupil.

 

His name is Dreamy Cloud, and thus, he should be a pegasus has the 2 fellows above me have said and because, you know, he's got his "head in the clouds" all the time. Haha... Ok,ok I'm leaving now. (I feel terrible after that)

His flank seems a little too sharp.

Also, you can have as many OCs as you want. You don't have to give it off to somepony else. ^_~

 

As mentioned, the name is just a placeholder, unless nopony else comes up with something better. And wow... I can believe I missed that sharp flank... I guess I'll try to fix that later~

 

And as for multiple OC's... I'm fine with having the one I have at the moment, and this one was pretty much something random I came up with on the fly, and I hope to possibly make somepony else happy to have it!

As mentioned - it's just a placeholder-name. And as for the pupils... That's just the style I went with. I had seen something similar and I was partially inspired from there (and being too lazy to make the effort to fix canon-looking eyes)

The lack of hair in the back of the head makes it look a bit strange and the mouth looks like it could do with a bit of work.

 

The coloring on it is fairly good, not really an complaints on that there.

 

And lastly, I like the fact its drawn and not from one of those darn pony creators.

You're the second one to mention the lack of a longer mane... I guess I'll add some when I return from Denmark!

 

It would help since it feels very bald in the back without more hair in the mane. Most if not all ponies have a fairly long mane to cover the back of their heads and sometimes their necks.

All right, my thoughts on this are first, that you've done the shading really well. It has a really nice look to it. :)

 

But like with what was said above, his mane could do to be longer in the back. The pupil style actually looks cute, very light-hearted. :) The cutie mark is also nice, and Dream Cloud.... You may or may not believe this, but my OC's WIP name was the very. Same. THING. :lol: I kid you not.

 

But from what I'm seeing... maybe 'Float' should be somewhere in his name? It's a commonality in both clouds, bubbles, as well as that dreamy feeling. Given that, it only seems fitting he should he a pegasus.

If you don't mind spending time doing it, then sure; Why naught? You can look for Night Cloud in the RP-character database-thing way up there for additional info... Checking out my pages on my profile might be easier, unless I get out of my currently lazy shell and post a link here!

 

I love the colours you've chosen for him, personally I think he would fit well as a Pegasus!

You know, the really cold, expensive, mountain-covered country in the northern part of Europe? (<-- Filler for the limit)

It's great! I like the idea you've given with the cutie mark as well. But, back on topic, I agree with many others that he should be a Pegasus. A unicorn could work as well. See when you explained a bit more about the cutie mark I kind of got a feeling that he comes out as a magical character. Of course...you don't see very many unicorn stallions lately...but that's what I thought.

Well, it's whatever you want. Special ability wise I find it to be a good unicorn. Over all he's a pretty good Pegasus. It's your call.
