    I feel this way towards Pokémon now, which is sad since at one point it was my favorites series of all time. I just can't do it anymore. I'll start, do a few battles before finding I just can't stand the battle system anymore. The general direction of story is the same, save for the finer details, and is never any different. Competitive (and the hours of preparation if you do it legit) isn't fun for me, either. IV's were a mistake. I just don't find ANYTHING in the main series engaging anymore. It took the better half of two decades, but I think I've officially outgrown mainline Pokémon. I still love the characters and the concept of Pokémon world to death. I just wish Game Freak explored it more. I really do think they need to update turn-based gameplay into something more engaging. That said, I'll ironically play Mystery Dungeon any day. I just pray they'll also shake that series up a bit, because it too is already starting to stale. Could you imagine if they implemented a pseudo real-time playstyle?

    I'm actually feeling very confused right now. This is the FIRST time I've done anything pony related in ages. So, maybe you guys could help me a little. A speedrun summary is I fell in love with this series and the fandom a few short hours after being introduced to it. And I owe it a lot; it helped me grow as a person, got me back into art... however, in the past year or so, I fell out. I stopped watching the show sometime in season 4, and dropped out the fandom slowly after... not that I participated very much in the first place. Maybe it was the show's direction or fandom drama, but one way or the other, I left. But out of the blue, after a study session and listening to a perticuarly chill song, I just felt a very strong impulse to come back here... and I saw this thread. My falling out both made me sad, yet I felt it was fitting at the same time... and now, here I am. To anyone who took some time to read this, thanks. I'd welcome any thoughts on it, too.

    Yeah, about Pee Wee.... did that last picture in the picture montage at the beginning imply to you too that he had let Pee Wee return to living with his parents?

    Spike and Angel were the bosses of dickery in this episode. It induced SO much hilarity. Zecora's lesson about dragon's greed was the best troll moment I've seen in a while, but really was a much needed lesson. Twilight had a Chaos Emerald! Anyone notice Screw Loose was out of the hospital in this episode? :'D I think he/she got better! Kinda. And Big Mac and Cheerilee were walking together! Continuity everywhere! Props to the BG Ponies! And this episode showed (more strongly than others) that Angel DOES have a heart. Him deciding to help Spike at the end when he realized the dragon was regretful for mistreating them was the best moment we've seen from the little guy so far. Angel just missed Fluttershy so much, he just had to be at his most douche-bag level to anyone trying to keep him away from her. XD Angel reaffirmed for best pet. I LOVE this episode! It's one of those eps I can rewatch without a second thought... but then again, quite a few of this season's episodes have been that way. And did anyone else notice Opalescense, who's fed by every 36 and a half minutes by the way (lol), was being carried around by Tank? XD

    It's really coming down to the wire here. Goshdarnit, I really, REAALY wish I wasn't so torn on this one. In this type of competition, Twi and Lyra are practically TIED in my opinion. On the other hoof, I'm leaning more toward Fluttershy than Tavi.

    Yeah, it certainly was amazing. It felt like a two-parter for a moment there, but I think Discord would need to do something big, like prevent himself from being imprisoned somehow, to call it in. And yes, it was indeed a breath of fresh air to see once again what Fluttershy's really all about. Seeing somepony give Discord an actual shot, rather than just going, "Okay, too many pranks. Element blast this sucker. (*Coughcough* Dash *cough*)" drove home just how big a deal showing someone that they care really is. True kindness. Besides, it WAS Discord after all. Reforming him was NOT going to be easy. Celestia didn't bail out from sticking around during his reform process for no reason. (If asked why she wasn't staying, I can almost imagine her saying, "No thanks, I value my sanity.") XD Probably my favorite 'Shy episode so far. True, I can see the convenience behind that for the big "cure the psycho" cases. But reform's such an ugly word, when used in this particular light. At least to me it is. To magically alter someone's way of thinking against their will just feels like outright manipulation. Blek. I'd rather see something that teaches the importance of why someone would need to change, and allow them to understand it themselves. Basically, magical reform just makes me think 'brainwash', instead of, what one could call... 'rehabilitation' reform. But if something could magically 'teach' the importance, that's great. It's just mental override seems like the decimation of free will and choice. Aaaaand, if someone just outright refuses to change, even after fully understanding things... well there's always imprisonment...

    Agreed, I was sitting down thinking Discord was a mastermind when I realized the reform spells were gone. Bonus points for disposal method. XD (Reform spells... should those even BE legal? They sound so... so downright evil to me.... *Shudders*) But before that, him eating paper in front of Fluttershy made me think he was simply weirding her out/trolling her hard. Which in a sense he was. lol And same!--- I was SO hoping for a last minute prank too at the end! It's a downer he didn't. But we'll be seeing him again, (soon, hopefully.) so that makes up for it.

    EXACTLY!!! The spinning house, going round and round and round sealed that thought for me. This episode was freakin' amazing.

    Lol, it kinda does, taking her regal composure is a very hidden fashion to that. Honestly, I don't think she'd be able to win against Discord along and without the elements. He'd break her mind with too many dafuq's... he could pretty much do actual damage after/during that.

    I think we can all agree with that idea. I got a very trippy Alice in Wonderland feel through most of this episode. I think Angel's role was really helping, too. DAT SCREAM. XD

    You may not define it as a code or motto, but from what I gather, you go by being a good person, and that's all anyone can ask. You seem like a endearing, warm person too, and I think it's awesome you do fight against negativity. I know so many people who just accept it, I wonder if I should give them bats, tell them the bats are for magically beating negativity into a corner, and hope for a placebo effect. XD

    *Images of Lyra driving through Ponyville like that, with Bon-Bon looking terrified in the passenger's seat, go through my mind* ... *Looks at tablet... then back at post... then tablet again, post again...* ... I'mma need that car as a reference pic... *snickers excitedly* Oh, how Discord would approve... Oh right, I know that last pic. So many lulz when I first saw it. And that first one is hilarious. Celestia's kinda like "Oh, damn. Well that sucks. Maybe I should fix it." And for Lyra's part, her expression says it all. Also, once Lyra wins again RD that's when the soul tearing will begin for me. Why must I choose between two epic unicorns!? Why!? *bawls* I second this in becoming the Lyra fanclub thread! I need to go read Anthropology.

    Interesting... I'm no expert myself, but I'd be more than willing to help where I can. That said, what is it you wanted help on specifically? I've seen a few of your pictures on DA and they all look pretty good to me.

    Locked in a closet with Rarity/Pinkie Pie.... Huh... well, that could end in a number of different ways... Rarity scenario, introductions, any proper gentleman would, followed by a short discussion on the likelihood of soon escaping. After that... I'd HAVE to admit to being an admirer. At that point, we can talk all things beauty and art and anything else that comes to mind. (I'd be stuck listening for the 'beauty' aspect of that conversation...) Then I'd remind her (If I could remember) she has magic she could use to help us escape, or she'd remember herself... whichever comes first. XD Pinkie scenario... Oh God. Closet Party. We all know this to be true. She'd have cake, of course, and I'd imagine conversation would be both easy and fun, and full of me asking questions about the things that pony can go on about. She knows we watch them, so that level of awkwardness would be all but nonexistent. PARTY CANNON THE DOOR DOWN!

    That's the beastiest car I have ever seen. Holy crap, that's awesome... YOU OWN THAT?! GOOD ON YA! It reminds me of of gonein10seconds's videos. Those are friggin' awesome, and I can never get the song out of my head until days later.

    You know, I've wondered about how Discord came to be myself (as I'm sure tons of us have XD ). Seriously, just what was up with Equestria 1000 years ago? Discord ruled, and let's not forget that around this time period Sombra was also in power over in Crystal land. Not to mention, the ponies were evidently fearful enough of being out at night (post-Discord and Sombra trauma, maybe?) they made made Luna feel neglected enough to go bonkers-evil-first-season-villain mode. And yeah, some back story before Discord and Celestia's final confrontation--would indeed be glorious. I doubt we'll see any shipping, but a guy can dream....keep your hooves crossed. Hmm... maybe somewhere faaaar back in the reaches of time... Discord wasn't such a butt? (He's fun and an awesome villain, but he did do his job and treat the mane six (and everyone else within range) like a butt XD )

    ^ This. I totally second that statement about more Celestia. Scenes involving her are nice, but I really want to see a storyline involving her more thoroughly. Dare I say a Ruler or Equestria episode? Maybe Twilight gets to spend an entire day with her... and tries to do anything she can to make the Princess's daily routine easier? xD Hilarity ensues. Also, moar Rarity, Fluttershy, and Discord. Come on, Saturday....!!

    Okay, so everpony knows how everypony loves some pony games, right ponies? Well, I'm terrible at keeping up with what's done, what's out, and what's what, so how about we make a pony game thread compilation? Just imagine the free time we could kill and the lols! Small scale games--like a simple flash game-- to bigger scale games like Mega-Pony, Fighting is Magic (I know, it's not out yet.) are all welcome. The more everypony knows about them all, the better.
