If we're talking real old school, Yar's Revenge (and no I don't mean the modern reboot) sucked days out of my life, in 2010.

If anyone has access to an Atari 2600, that's the timeless game to play.

Addictive, strategic, while still working as a reflex based action game. It to me is the perfect example of good design making a game stand the test of time, regardless of graphics.

How old we talking about? Cause the oldest game I can think of liking would be Wario Land: Super Mario Land 3.

Yes, the game where Mario is a thieving jerk who steals Wario's prize after he fights his way through a hoard of pirates, monsters, their queen and a genie. Probably took the credit all for himself too...

This game seems dumb and to simple but it was my first game I ever got for my Color!

Are probably my favorite pre-PS2 games ever. WA2 being my favorite RPG of all time and AoS being my favorite Castlevania and among video games in general I know this game like the back of my hand, I could almost tell you enemy placement in every room of the game. I know what every single soul does. I don't just know this game, I know this game. I also know just about everything about WA2 though I've never actually beaten the two hardest optional bosses Ragu O Ragula and Angol Mois.
