Welcome all who would like to join our group

 

a friend and I were talking just about a Let's Play group and thought, "why don't we make our own group?"

 

I got hooked onto the Idea so here's what I'm going at with this:

 

1. We need at least 1 more person to join us

2. We would ask if you had the same time zone as us so you don't cause any confusion.

3. You won't have to worry about who makes the youtube channel, I will make the channels

4. we will play all sorts of games, but they will mainly be computer games. though if you have a Wii/PS3/XBOX360/ect... and we might have the same game we may take a different turn.

- The name's Abige (Felix if you can't pronounce it) Alexis, but I mostly go by Zhinzo.

- My time zone is GMT +1.

- At the moment, I'm not sure if I have anyone I would label a "partner", but I have multiple people who occasionally agree to record some stuff with me... I'll get back to you about that.

- I Skype as Starstream_Heartlocke.

 

- available for me to record is only:

* PC

* PS1

* Nintendo DS (and everything before that)

* PSP

* All Sega consoles except for the Dreamcast

I do have a condition that I refuse to record let's plays for games I don't own and cannot lend from friends, but I have a fairly substantial library, so that shouldn't be much of an issue, besides, that doesn't stop me from commenting on someone else's recording.

 

- I prefer RPGs and platformers, but there is no genre that really scares me away.

- As far as availability goes, most hours of the day. I'm home schooled, so I can always reschedule learning to make some time (up until a certain threshold anyway).

 

Edit:

At the moment I'm working on a setup to record from HD consoles + Wii, but I can't promise when that will be done, it's hard to get the stuff I need where I live.

AfroPony, there seem to be a fair number of applications that surpass your member limit. What say you, we split this up into two teams? Possibly still cooperating with each other, but independent enough to do our own stuff without relying on each other. That is, if the others would agree of course.

 

Just a suggestion though.

I was imagining more of an organization/management thing. Basically downsizing the groups to a point where if something needs to be organized they don't need to organize it with 10+ people. Also, if something needs to be organized across the two groups, only one or two representatives of each side need to converse.

 

Mostly they'll be doing the same thing, just not the exact same games, and under different names, because otherwise it would be redundant. Yet because they are partner groups, if anyone wants to commentate across groups that would easily be possible. Simply splitting it into console and handheld wouldn't be in everyone's best interest because:

 

a ) It could be a real b*tch to record sometimes, simply because one specific console doesn't want to cooperate at the time. if this happens and you've limited your choices in such a way, there's a chance the channel goes into hiatus, or even completely dies off, and we wouldn't want that, now would we?

 

b ) Any audience that might spawn would only have to remember 5/6 voices instead of 10. It's simply easier to process.

 

c ) Recording hardware for consoles is hard to come by, you might end up having to rely on one person.

 

d ) Stuff could get pretty damn boring if you're not allowed to play your favorite games because of arbitrary limits.

I would kind of HAVE to be on team A, since I'm not sure I'd be able to use my Blue Yeti microphone on consoles.
