My First Hand-drawn Ponies

I was at home, and was bored. So I decided to give drawing ponies a try. I was inspired by a friend of mine who can draw show accurate ponies very well. I began with drawing Fluttershy. I had a reference picture for this one, so I drew based off that. My next pony was Happyday, a made up pony of mine. This is the first pony I drew without a reference picture, and I'm quite happy with how it came out. Next is Scarlet, Candymane and Partypon3. I drew these on the same day, and I don't think they look too bad for a first attempt. I tried to include different techniques such as drawing from different views, although there is certainly space for improvement. I hope you like them, and suggestions are welcome!

very well done for a first try especially Fluttershy but you have a habit of drawing you hooves flat which was the same problem i had, other then that you seem to have the right idea about drawing shapes to get the scaling right.

also since you using pencil don't be afraid to go nuts

Nice keyboard, that a mac? Anyways on the drawings, they are good, and you got most things down and good. (pretend that last good isnt there, its just there for a secret reason if you get what I mean )

Thanks for the suggestions and comments The part I found most difficult was the legs/hooves area. I never seemed to be satisfied with them

Like people have said flat hooves just curv them slighty (It takes time and this is your first time drawing) and i think the eyes are slighty to big... but thats just me!

Man, if I had my first drawings of Rainbow Dash I'd put them up, but they'd burn your very eyes.

doesn't matter, I guess I'll draw some ponies later and put them up. Meh, I need to obtain some breakfast items.

First drawing you say, those are actually pretty great! Love em', keep it up! And don't stop practicing, also I can agree that the leg/hooves are the hardest to get right!

Great work Spacey! Seems like Blueblaze has some competition! You did especially well on the anatomy. Mine still look like tubes with wings. . . But still, more practice for the both of us should lead to amazing Blueblaze quality work! -Thunderblaze

nicely done! I love art myself, I draw ponies all the time- used to draw em quite a bit on paper like you did there, now I'm more digital as my avatar suggests.

Hi Spaced! Just trying my hoof at this mlpforums thing. Just gonna drop this group picture off... I don't know who that second pony from the right is, yet. Ah well. Still working on my technique. What do you think? Say hi to Thunder for me.
