How about an attack that works like the Fluorite Octet?

You know, several X sided dice that add up to 42, which, when rolled, give different effects to the user or target (depending on the values of each individual die)

That's a great idea! Some of my attacks can use some sort of built in RNG that affects how the attack works!

Yes, but all I did was take a bunch of sprites and put them in the smallest box in MS Paint, and run them all in a single frame.
