That's exactly what I mean -- wing maintenance by someone else. "Allopreening" is made of the terms "allo" and "preening". "Allo" is derived from the Greek word for "another" or "someone else", so "allopreening" means "someone else preening".

 

...Don't know why I'm rambling on about this.

I don't think she was actually given a canon name until Amending Fences, and a lot of the fandom still call her Colgate, so...
