I don’t want to fly though I’m scared of heights. Once I had to climb onto the dryer to reach a sock I dropped behind it and I was scared to come down without help even though it’s literally two feet off the ground.

 

But in all seriousness I wouldn’t want to fly because that sounds like a lot of work.

Teleportation is very advanced magic though - only the most powerrful unicorns can do it. By contrast, almost all pegasus ponies can channel Wingpower though their wings to fly with little apparent effort;

No, he can fly too - he was around during Hurricane Fluttershy and on Dashie's team for the equestrian games.

That is true, but he was still good enough at it to compete in a national competition.

It takes effort for Flutters to fly too, at least at a certain distance. It only takes Bulk effort because his wings are unbalanced compared to his muscles.

Difficult to tell - Flutters is famously unable to fly properly as a filly, AND during the second episode, is unable to hold twi's weight. But later in the same season, she is able to hold a full buggy level behind herself while carrying a whole basketfull of frogs. I think a lot of Flutters' problems are psychological, rather than physical (while Scoots is of course actually flight-disabled, which is a pity really)
