I think "Rainbow Lasers" is a EqGism; I know its mentioned in Legend of Everfree and again in Summer Breakdown, possibly other times too.

I tend to call the Pony version the "rainbow bitchslap of harmony"

Hmm... It sounds like he's referring to FIM rather than EqG... Considering he was talking about it in the context of season 9.

Sure. But I think RL are only canon in EqG - which is fair, I doubt Ponies know what lasers are.

They can still refer to what the Mane 6 get up to as that, if they want to though

I assumed they meant the first EqG movie. I did like the finale of the second movie though, when Sunset earns her "pony ears" and her laser beam joins the rest of the team. All very symbolic, really...
