The clothing is fine, Twilight had Nix of the fanfiction Past Sins use a simliar idea involving clothes. The engine I don't see as problem, heck fans have joked about the fact that in one episode stallions were pulling a train while in another episode a train was moving like it should by itself. So your pony making an engine is perfectly fine.

Like I said, Nightfall Starline (now, until he is uncovered, Dusk Graystone) can hold his own he invented a smaller engine and is in the process of building a second, more powerful one. They wouldn't want to hurt him just quite yet...

And if they would, well... What's a grim dark RP without risks, bloody fights, and maybe a few deaths?

My pleasure. I'm thinking to make Sky Warden a good tactician, because he's my ponysona (yes, I'm a martial artist) and I know medieval warfare tactics pretty good, but I think that would be too "worthy". I just want to keep him as "normal" as possible. Need reasonable faction military campaign? Call me.

Haha, that's the spirit. Personally, I don't mind it if my character die (But only a glorious death).

As far as I know, the only major planning is that, in the end, each OC will come to odds with, and betray their chosen House, and join with the Guardians of Harmony to bring peace back to Equestria. Scholar hasn't really told us much else about his plans.

Since the RPers are separated by factions, how do we post? I think if ponies from different faction post at the same time, it's gonna be a little confusing right?

Dude, you should really re-think that post. Even if he is an alicorn, even if he has an engine, how is he going to stand up against 100's maybe 1000's of members from the house of moon and star? Seriously, he wouldn't stand a chance. Don't assume that being an alicorn makes you immortal. Unable to age? Yes. Unable to die? Certainly no. We see that in the scenario of the RP itself.

 

Besides, I have a feeling that there are some ponies holding a grudge against alicofn in some other houses as well. I have no doubt that any Alicorn being discovered would be quickly wiped out or captured. If you're looking for a long lasting RP role, I think you should change your OC.

 

I never truly saw the reason in having an RP full of alicorns. I see the appeal to playing an alicorn, but it's just too OP or Gary Stu to be reasonable in my opinion.

Aye. Personally, I don't mind it, but being an alicorn gonna be hard for you according to the setting. To survive in a war, you need a lord to serve, or at least a warband, and most faction here won't accept an alicorn (Correct me if I'm wrong).

Aye, but Twilight is keen and smart. I think she would getting curious about his cape. Applejack? One True Sight. Maybe Whitegold, but dunno. I think he would be most safe if he has his own warband.

I think the safest Houses for an allicorn would be House Everfree, House Whitegold, House Stormwing(provided he can find a way to hide his horn), or the Cult of Laughter.

Hrm. I think it was previously stated that Fluttershy is more inclined to kill Alicorns than befriend them. I believe it had something to do with the Princesses lying. Of course, (even considering my own character is an Alicorn and I have control of House Everfree) she might also be persuaded to not kill them outright. I would think at least SOME of the original fluttershy remains.

Then I guess that would be an interesting part to play in this RP. An alicorn, in the middle of insane war, must persuade one of the faction leader to accept him and save his life, with many bounty hunters and spies around, and (almost) every ponies wants him die.

Just keep a ragged cloak over your wings, keep your head low, you'll fit it perfectly. Right up untill you need to escape and eventually help bring back harmony. Sounds like an idea to me.

Yeah, but Whitegold might also attempt to experiment on Alicorns, to try and get one up than the other houses... But if she was in disguise... I just think that a wanderer/rogue/mercinary is the best place for an Alicorn.

Whitegold sounds very sensible for an alicorn, considering that everyone there wears pony gowns and pony tuxedos and such. The wings could be hidden quite easily. If you wanted to hide the horn instead, you could wear a top hat, and if it's a girl they could wear a chapeau. If you don't want to go there, I think Moon and Star may not be the best choice, but they do wear a lot of cloaks and pointy hats, although you may not want to hide the horn.

@, @, @@The-Master, @@Sky Warden, @, and @@MagicalStarRain, I'm glad that this is turning into a good discussion. as I mentioned in my bio Nightfall Starline (now, until he is discovered, Dusk Graystone) wears a piece of clothing that fits snugly to his body yet is able to hide his wings well. It's almost like long underwear. And he is trying to get into House Moon and Star, which could be the worst house for an "alicorn-in-hiding" to try to join. He doesn't ever wear a hat, and I will make an new version of him (one with a longer, ragged mane and a more sour expression) and even ask a friend to draw the new version for me. This Nightfall, the Nightfall for Equestria Divided, will be far from the "real" Nightfall, who is more like my ponysona. Dusk Graystone will be vicious, easily disturbed and upset, and, to a reasonable degree, a tyrant. His time alone has made him this way. Let's just hope he doesn't have to get into a battle... I will try to keep him from death for as long as I can, but if we get 50-100 pages into this RP, I may let him give in eventually. This will be a good RP.

As for the avatar and name thing you guys were talkin' 'bout. Not so sure if that would work. Mods are going to be playing more characters than just the OCs. Like for me i'm probably gonna have to be Twilight and other people in the House. (and plus i don't have a pic of my OC...) I think we should just settle for a list heheh.

Still gonna be risky. You are gonna be supicious. Taller, longer horn, always wearing an robe. But hey i guess thats the fun of it. If i ever find out your an alicorn, i would never tell the archmagister. Hell i would try and get you out of the House as soon as possible. But thats just me. idk 'bout the others...
