What if every and anypony you knew was a changeling? What if only a handfull of lucky ponies were acrually ponies? What if Chrysalis and a changeling called King Larvae were having a war? What if changelings had no idea who was on who's side?

Anyway...

Ponyville is actually inhabited by changelings that are waging a war. Some free changelings that just want to be free are joining up with Larvae, attacking Chrysalis. Equestria is split in half, changeling vs changeling. It's been going on for, what, 5 years now?

Only one thing gave them hope - Ponyville's natural tech genius. Her last words gave hope...that the elements of harmony weren't dead...

"The changelings...they destroyed Nightmare Moon with the elements of harmony. But now I realize what I have been sensing all of these years. I can smell the bearers of harmony...but 6 ponies smell was much greater then the changelings...these must be the true elements of harmony..."

After Chrysalis and Larvae heard that, they both agreed to stop fighting and do one thing - kill all the ponies. Make ponykind extinct, so the true elements of harmony were never were. They killed the tech genius, and are now starting to torture the ones down below in the caves of Canterlot, killing them one by one. The original mane 6 are already dead, and were never the elements of harmony. Chrysalis senses 9 ponies / free changelings are on the run, a race against time to stop the changelings forever. Chrysalis sends some of her minions to stop them, but it won't be easy...


The true ponies and changelings are alone in this world, not knowing who to trust. Their first objective is to free the real ponies to wage war on the changelings. After that, gather the Elements of Harmony...and use them to destroy Chrysalis? They little do know 6 of them are truly the elements of harmony, some changeling, some pony. However, unknowing to them, the other two play a bigger part in this little race then they know. However, the elements are scattered all over the place...how shall they find them? During this little game, something is stirring up in the distance, something that is said to stop time, to bring about destruction, something only a changeling with a sweet but sorrowful voice can unleash...and Chrysalis is on the hunt for that one little changeling. Little does that changeling know, it's tagging along with the elements of harmony...

One more question for you roleplayers.

Maybe, just maybe, you are a changeling...

Rules

1. If your signing up as a changeling, be sure to include that somewhere in your character profile.
2. If your signing up as a changeling, make sure it has a pony form. It will be playing in that form for most of the game.
3. Make sure that if you are signing up as an element of harmony, it actually resembles your element. Don't make a greedy changeling for the element of generosity, or a lier for the element of honesty.
4. After a week and a half go by for the roleplay, i'll make a co-leader. If I can't run the roleplay, they will instead untill I come back.
5. You can cuss/swear, but not on every sentance. For anger/frustration/etc is fine, just not every single sentance.
6. Have fun, that's what RP's are.
7. Playing background characters aren't allowed.
8. If your leaving...then notify me. Our you'll get wrote-out. That means if your absent for a week / haven't posted on RP for a week you'll get wrote out [Died/Moved/Passed Away]. When this happens, a spot shall be open that shall be entered. That means one spot will be open that will take the place of the absent person and become that new role.
10. Try to make 4+ sentences per post.
11. No godmodding. [Controlling anyponys character, unless they say it's OK]
12. Try to use good grammar.

YOU DON'T NEED TO MAKE AN ALTERNATE BACK-STORY. YOUR ORIGINAL BACK-STORY FOR YOUR CHARACTER WILL BE BEFORE THE CHANGELINGS ATTACKED. For a changeling backstory...I'm not too hard on teh backstorys. So yeah...no backstory for changeling needed. In fact, you can make your OC a changeling secretly for this story!

I haven't used my OC Shadow Opal yet, so I'll give it a try. He could perhaps be the Element of Loyalty, but if you feel he fits somewher else, it shall be so. If Shadow Opal, in your opinion, does not fit anywhere, I will use another OC.

This is a great idea, definitely save me a spot while i make an OC.

Can I use one of my pony OCs as a free changeling, with my OC as his pony form? If I can then I will use Darts as a free changeling disguised as a pony.

 

Give me some time to make a more suitable backstory (if needed)

I'm really open to whatever Element of Harmony you want. *reads character* If you want my opinion, he actually looks like the loyalty/honesty element. Not too sure about loyalty, but whatever. Anyway, Accepted, once you have decided your element i'll add it to the OP.

 

The Opal, i'll attempt to find your OC. And yea...I forgot to multi quote your post. And i'm to lazy to do it again. Anyways, after I find your character and look over it, you'll be accepted. Just one other thing - is your pony a changeling or an actually pony? We currently have...one open element of harmony pony open, and two non-element of harmony ponies/changelings.

HMMMM...He actually looks like a decent element of generosity/laughter. I'm leaning toward laughter, though.

Shadow Opal can be honesty or kindness. Let me get some reasons and you can decide.

 

Honesty: His instincts guide him to trust some ponies and he tells them everything and never lies. He doesn't even lie to his enemis. He just hides, doesn't say anything or gives in and tells the truth.

 

Kindness: Shadow Opal prefers to have as many friends and as few enemies as possible. He is not the killing type, and if negotiation or anything else that results in a positive effect on both sides, he will try to take it.

alternate backstory (Darts):

 

He was born into Chrysalis's hive and was drafted into her army. He was one of the best soldiers because of his flying skills but for reasons kept secret he was found guilty of high treason against the queen and was banished to the Everfree Forest to die. Due to his skills and training he was able to survive long enough to stumble out of the forest near Cloudsdale and hid in the city. Stealthily he studied the strange inhabitants of the city for about a month before disguising himself as one of them and taking the name Darts.

 

After living among the "ponies" for a year he discovered that he preferred their peaceful ways over the violent and single minded changelings. Eventually he donned his disguise full-time and put his past behind him. His flying skill brought him a lot of attention and praise, and he found a career in stunt-flying. He got so popular that he was approached by the captain of the Wonderbolts who invited him to join the team, and he obliged.

 

When he heard rumors of changelings in Equestria he abandoned all his fame and fortune and fled Cloudsdale without warning so he could take shelter where he thought that no changelings could find him. Since then the famed Wonderbolt known as "Darts" has been declared missing or dead.

 

(Note to other roleplayers: Because of Darts fame, it would be weird if none of your characters have heard of him, especially if they follow any sort of Wonderbolt stuff. So at least acknowledge him in the RP)

Yep, they can use magic. They can either fly or use magic, like unicorns / pegasi /earth ponies. Some can't do magic/fly at all. It's like that...
