I'm such a big fan of Harry Potter, is anyone else?

I love all the books, films and games.

Which is your favourite film/book/game?

My favourite book was probably the fourth one but my favourite films has to be one of the first 2! My favourite game was either the 2nd or maybe the third (but I haven't actually played them all yet!)

The other week I actually went to the Harry Potter Studios and got to walk through the real Great Hall and lots of ther things!

Also - can anyone tell me how to post images under the 'show' button. I want to share a few photos I took there but I would prefer them to be hidden under the 'show' button so they don't take up too much space!

(I did a quick search and didn't find any topics on Harry Potter, sorry if I missed it!) <3

Hey! Are you on Pottermore?

Anyways, my favorite film would have to be the Philosophers (Or Sorcerers if you're American) Stone or The Goblet Of Fire. My favorite book is The Deathly Hallows, as it has got a certain dark gloom hanging over it. And game... I have the first three ones, and both of the legos on the NDS, but I love love LOVE Pottermore! You get sorted into your house (Hufflepuff for me!) and get to experience the books as if you're there! It's fantastic!

Oh, and I've been to the Studio Tours too, but I really really want to go to the Orlando resort! :)

I got into it a few days ago.. I'm on page 135 in the first book. It's pretty good so far. I was going to see The Deathly Hallows but than I forgot about it. For some reason, Hufflepuff is my favorite School house.. :L

Well, my favorite book is probably the 7th, or maybe the 4th or 6th.

Favorite movie is definitely the second. I never liked the new director he seemed to lax about leaving stuff out and adding new stuff (see 6th movie. I was not at all happy with that :(), but the 7th movies were done quite well.

Yes, I am on Pottermore! I can't remember my name on there though, I haven't actually been on in a while but I do love it!

Ah - you've been to the studio tour too! That's awesome! Did you take any photos there? I heard some people kissed the great hall floor!

Ah - I wish I hadn't read the books yet! It's so great having something to look forward to! I've read all there is to read! :(

Yes, that's why I prefer the first two films too - there was just a complete sudden change in the whole feel of it and everything from the third film onwards :( <3

I've read all the books and watched all the films and i must say that the books are better than the films :P

My favorite film probbably is the first one, and my favorite book is the last.

Fun fact: Did you know that Daniel Radcliffe was drunk most of the time while filming towards the end of the movies and at one point he drove around London shouting out:

I love Harry Potter! The only thing is when I was a sophomore in high school I went on a Potter binge and read the first four books in a couple weeks. Then I got to the fifth book. Got to page 153 and put it down. I thought I was gonna continue, but now I'm a junior in college...I don't even know where my books are lol But I'm not watching the 5th, 6th, or 7th movies until I've read the book! lol

Yup, another Harry Potter fan here.

However, compared to most of the fandom, I consider the movies to be better than the books for the most part. As I read the books, there were many moments that I either thought could have been made better (the final battle in book 7, Harry heading to the forest to get killed in book 7, Harry & Cho's relationship in book 5, the description of how the Horcrux in the Chamber of Secrets was destroyed) or omitted entirely (the SNEAK subplot, Harry Potter's jealousy in book 6, how Harry and Ginny hooked up in book 6). The movie directors did the right thing by chopping down the unnecessary material and changing the scenes to make them more poignant.

My most favorite book is Book 5. Despite the horrendous "SNEAK" subplot, it was very thorough and explored many of the interesting secondary characters such as Snape and Sirius.

For the movies, my most favorite is the sixth with Deathly Hallows, Part II following behind. In the sixth book, Harry's jealousy of Ginny and Dean Thomas's relationship took quite a bit in the book. In the sixth movie, it was almost nonexistent, showing the viewer that Harry was mostly focused on helping Dumbledore and also remaining friends with Ron instead of having a near-falling out like in the book.

Omg, really? I've never even heard that before! I can't believe he did that!

Yeah, it's crazy the difference between the books and the films. However, I think I prefer the books as they just have a lot more detail in them. But I do absolutely LOVE the films so much. It's like LOTR I love the films and decided to start reading the books the other day. I'm only on like chapter 6 but it's soooooo different..... I don't know if I like it or not >_< <3
