Twilight sparkle vs shining armor

Who do you think would win in a battle between twilight and shining armor. ( Let's just say they were mind controlled) I honestly cannot say, twilight is great alround with magic but shining armor's protective magic is more powerful than what twilIght is capable of.

We know more about Twilight than Shining Armor, but knowing that Twilight's brother is the leader of the Royal Guards and is the elder sibling, I'm voting for Shining Armor.

I say Twilight Sparkle still has much hidden power so much so she could even challenge Princess Celestia and Princess Luna in combat let alone Shining Armor. I think Celestia may have Twilight has her student to stop her from becoming something like Nightmare Moon (dark lord or something like Morgoth.), to help control her magic and not fall into darkness.

 

No wonder Princess Celestia wanted Twilight to have friends, if Twilight never had any friends she may become bitter and hate the world and even become a force of evil like Nightmare Moon.

 

Princess Luna was lonely and everyone shunned her beautiful night thus became Nightmare Moon.

 

If Twilight Sparkle never got any friends she may become something like Nightmare Moon, perhaps now called Shadow Sparkle.

I think that will depend on Twilight. We know that she has a potential for magic that is high enough for Celestia to be impressed and taking it upon herself to help develop, so the full extent of her power is probably far above anyting we have seen her do in the series, seeing as she is still young.

 

Shining Armor on the other hand seem to be specialized in protective magic and he has the physical advantage. If we go by the known extent of their power I'd agree with Rainbow Dashey that he could use that to win. If we go by potential I don't think Shining will have much of a chance seeing as Twilight isn't limited in the magic she can learn.

Yeah...Shining Armor without a doubt.

 

Yes, Twilight Sparkles is the personal assistant of Princess Celestia and yes, she is one of the EoH.

 

BUT

 

1. Twilight will not use the elements effects on her own brother on her own, and even mind controlled cannot since they are used with the power of "Friendship". Can't use that being controlled.

 

2. Shining Armor is the Captaind of the Canterlot Royal Guard. Even if the show he was in didn't have him doing much, he was being controlled to being spastically stupid during it. If forced to fight we'd probably see him using military force on his sister with magical assistance used for such things which brings me to number 3.

 

3. Twilight is not trained to fight. She is trained in magic and friendship. Currently she is using her magic in more forceful ways that could be used in fights as the show goes on but is still a long ways away before she is usable in a proper fight. While she was in Ponyville studying how to make moustaches and such I'm pretty sure Shining Armor was keeping his skills in check to protecting and defense.

 

 

This is not me hating on Twilight, just posting out some observational facts here people.

Shining Armor. He's the Captain of the Royal Guard, and has more battle experience as well as tactics than Twilight. Plus, his magic is specially designed for fighting and protection whereas Twilight's magic is scattered throughout all categories, not focused in a single area like Armor's is. I certainly think Shining Armor would come out of it exhausted though, Twilight would certainly give him a run for his money. But in the end I just think his training, experience and combat specialist skills would beat out general skill in magic.

 

But who knows.

Am I the only one here who would say Twilight? She had been specifically trained by Princess Celestia because she had a lot of magic potential. Yes, we saw that Shining Armor put up a huge forcefield all over Canterlot, but who says Twi can't do the same thing? We don't know about Shining Armor as much as Twi so it might be unfair saying Twilight, but I would still say her; she could make a huge magical explosion and everything. XD

Difficult question...... Both of them are skilled in the magic department.... But I think Shining armor has the advantage, Twilight is powerful and all... but I mean Shining armor is captain of the guard .... I mean he would have to be pretty damn strong... they dont just make anypony captain of the guard.... ..... So yeah I would say Shining armor would win......

Honestly, completely ignoring the reason as to why they'd be fighting and just basing them both on power, I'd go with Twilight Sparkle.

 

Yes Shining Armor is the Captain of the Guard and all plus physically he's much bigger (and in turn, stronger) but Twilight Sparkle really does seem to have vast untapped potential. Even when Twilight was just a foal she had enough magical power to gain Celestia's attention and make her her personal star pupil. So in other words if the fight were to start getting nasty and Twilight absolutely lost it, I think she'd blow up any force field Shining Armor makes with raw magical energy.

 

Not to mention Twilight can make her own force field type spell, though I'm sure not as powerful. Maybe though. Remember in Ponyville Confidential when she makes a bubble around her home which prevents access to the CMC?

 

Besides, what if Shining Armor knows nothing but defensive spells? I think Twilight's bigger variety of spells would overall win, especially when you combine it with her incredible intellect. Eventually she'd come up with some kind of trap and trap Shining Armor in one of his own force fields or something.

 

As far as Shining Armor's physical advantage goes, I think he would do some damage if he got close, but Twilight being smaller might make her a little bit more agile. Besides she can just teleport herself away if he were to get too close.

Twilight could give herself wings making the fight via air which would nullify a lot of shining armor's physical advantage. She also can teleport herself and others. Technically if she really wanted to she could teleport ponies into midair -- like off the cliff of canterlot and then teleport back (or even fly back if she gave herself wings first).

 

A lot of this would depend upon prep time. Give twilight ANY prep time and this would be a cakewalk. Have her just be in canterlot for whatever reason and all of a sudden shining armor turns bad and it would be a lot harder -- but I would still give the battle to twilight.

Twilight vs Shining Armor, hard call to make.

 

On one hand we have Twilight who is being taught by Princess Celestia and she can do all kinds of magic. Even do spells one time and get it right. Her skill is magic and it's very powerful. The only problem is does she know any kind of attack base spell. She can just do random spells.

 

Then we have Shining Armor. Who is Caption of the guard and can make a powerful barrier around him. We may not know much about him, but if he is Caption. So that must mean he can us all kinds of attack base spells and maybe more physically fit then she is.

 

I think Twilight would win, because her magic can be unpredictable at times. So she could pull off a strong spell at the last min.

Why do I have the intense feeling that I really kinda wish this was an episode for somereason?

Seriously it seems like it would make a really good episode...

 

Anyways of topic. I think twilight would win just because of the fact that she has so much hidden potiential. Even when she was young during her entrance exam she showed incredible potential. Imagine what she could do now?
