The shows aren't an hour long though, take out the commercial breaks, and you have a 45 minute episode... Season 1&2's episodes were 22 minutes long so the first 2 episodes of each season were 44 minutes combined but i heard every episode in season 3 will be an hour long, but i dont want it to be i want it to be the usual 22 minute long and 26 episodes in the season This Signature was created by Surprise, Thanks for the great work Ashley keep it up! The one thing I think may happen with S3 is that all the episodes are connected in a long 13 long story. i still dont think that would make up for halfing the amount of episodes, will be really disapointed if they dont have as many episodes and havn't made them any longer, a 13 episode story line would drag on way too long. Most children will not even notice that it is short. yes but they should recognize that we are a large part of their audience and should also tend to what we want, they should just keep the same lay out as seasons 1&2. i hope it isn't 13 episodes long but they might just do seasons more frequently if they're going todo that. Also I dont think they would make it 13 episodes in a storyline that would kind of ruin the show considering I like the random events in each episode. Also since this is a show for small children we have to assume that some kids wont have an attention span of an hour for each episode y'know? Another rumor I heard was that season three will take place entirely in the crystal kingdom. Otherwise longer episodes would be a great alternitve. exactly, they cant just half the amount of episodes then expect people to wait an extra year just for another season of 13 episodes which is pretty much a half season, they could make them 35 minutes long in total rather than 22 minutes (with no ads). Pinkazoid 3,493 September 16, 2012 Share September 16, 2012 Well, there's plenty of reasonable things to why they made only 13 episodes, the writers needs more ideas, the VA's got another life besides making a show for little girls, and the music writers need inspiration, only after knowing what the episode will be about, we've had plenty of good episodes so far, I doubt they'll be able to fill in a complete 26 episode season.... but hey! let's look at it this way, so far, we've had plenty of good episodes, and from the speculations, we're gonna see some better ones whenever season 3 starts :3 The Ad's are a great cheap way to earn money, the more people who watch the show, the more the ad's will pay to be during the programming, so unless every viewer starts paying the MLP team, to not have ads, I doubt they'll take them off.... 1 :3 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Including commercials they'd be longer then that. and I doubt the tv stations would allow that easily. I'd love it, but at the same time they'd probably drag them out a bit. For some of the episode in season 2, some people have said, some feel short, and one episode they had to cut things out due to the time. But to do an episode for an hour would be hard to do.
