open SonicXMLP: Friendship is Way Past Cool

"He wants the Master Emerald?" Metal askes himself. "Discord must be powerful if it takes the Master Emerald to break him out. Once I have his full data Eggman will have regretted ever creating me." Metal says. "Lets see if I have enough power. CHAOS CONTROL" as soon as he said that a portal to Mobius opened. "Hmm usually I would need more then just one emerald to jump dimensions. Discord's data really is stronger than I thought." he said jumping through the portal that quickly closed.

 

Shadow was tinkering with Omega as Sonic and Rainbow Dash left. "There's nothing I can do to get rid of the virus but I can speed up the reboot." he said still messing with Omega's circuits. "There." Shadow says as Spike comes up to him. "It's too dangerous. If Metal got to you alone you'd have no chance of fighting back." Shadow says.

Spike shook his head as he heard Discord's voice and turned to Shadow. "I could, maybe, I dunno, shoot fire at him,"Spike said as he took out a ruby and ate it before blowing out a plume of flame that, while it wasn't that big wasn't that tiny either. "So how about it, you need a guide right?"

Tails is accompanied by a young filly, hiding not too far from the main scene. "Shucks, Tails. Thanks a lot fer comin' tah help me. Ah can't find mah big sister Applejack anywhere!" "Shh!" Tails covers Apple Bloom's mouth. "I don't want them knowing you're here. We gotta find Sonic."

Shadow sighed "I suppose. But be carful you don;t know how to handle Eggman." he warns the dragon. "Now where did you say this place was again?"

 

 

Metal arrived at Angel Island. "Hmm no sines of that Echidna. Some guardian he is." Metal Sonic says to himself as he takes the emerald. "Now I should find the few of Sonic's friends that are still here." he says flying off with the emerald.

Knuckles awoke, with a start. "The Master Emerald!"

His connection to the over-sized jewel was very strong, he could sense something, or someone, messing with it.

 

"ARGH! *Knuckles slammed his fist into Tails' t.v.* I shouldn't have left!" Knuckles exclaimed as he tore his fist away, revealing he also punched a sizable chunk out of Tails' wall. He then ran off, back in the direction of Angel Island.

 

Knuckles left a rope dangling off the edge of the island (what a long rope! Thanks plot device!) he climbed it for what seemed like hours, but it was only a few minutes, when he arrived he beheld something a little off.

 

"Sonic?" Metal was holding the Master Emerald over his head like it weighed nothing. "Wait a sec. Your that Metal version of Sonic that Eggman built! Didn't you learn your lesson last time me Sonic and Tails trashed you? Now put my Emerald Back!"

Knuckles was steamed, he was in his fighting stance, ready to show this phoney what for.

Metal Sonic was off before Knuckles could engage him.

"Come back here with my Emerald!" Knuckles shouted as he gave chase to the Sonic imposter.

As Rainbow Dash went flying at high speeds, she wondered more about this Eggman and Metal Sonic she heard much about. She looked back to see that Sonic was already right beside her with his brother, Manic, bringing up the rear. "Heh, you're not so bad for someone with two legs!" Rainbow said to Sonic with a smirk. She couldn't wait to really test this Hedgehog's speed in a real race, but right now, Fillydelphia is in trouble and they had to catch this Metal Sonic. Sonic looked at Rainbow Dash and gave a smirk of his own. "Oh, I'm just getting warmed up, Dash. Don't tell me this all the speed you got, Feathers?" Sonic asked, trying to egg her on to go much faster. RD gave an even bigger grin with a slight chuckle. "I'm really starting to like you, Needle nose." Rainbow said to Sonic before speeding up to Mach 5. Sonic saw her go and gave a whistle. "Now that's what I'm talking about!" Sonic said to himself. He looked to Manic and spoke. "Get ready to crank up the juice, little bro! We are moving it!" Sonic yelled to Manic before increasing his own speed to Mach 6 to catch up to Rainbow Dash.

 

Soon enough, Sonic caught up to Rainbow Dash, but she already stopped. Sonic saw the reason why as his eyes laid upon a city in ruins. Sonic looked over at RD and could see tears streaming from her face, but could see that she was very angry at the scene. So many thoughts were swirling in Rainbow's mind; all about how this could've happened to a place like this. "This isn't anything like Discord had done to Equestria when he was here. This is just..." Rainbow Dash thought to herself, being unable to put the words to describe this destruction. Towers that once stood tall now stood crumbling and fire was licking almost every inch of the city. She could see ponies that were crying out in pain and some of them weren't moving at all. Sonic couldn't believe his eyes; the same was happening to Equestria. "Eggman, this is a whole new low for you. We gotta find Metal Sonic, on the double!" Sonic said to Rainbow Dash. Rainbow looked at Sonic, wiping her tears off before speaking. "I hope you find this Eggman before I do, Sonic. I'll make sure that he regrets ever coming here if I catch him first." Rainbow nodded to Sonic and the two of them went closer to the ravaged city.

Metal Sonic chuckled. "Come an get me Echidna. Chaos Control!!" Metal opened the portal Equestria with the Master Emerald and entered making sure Knuckles was behind him.

 

"Train?" Shadow askes sighing. "Very well I can't use Chaos Control unless I know where I'm going." he says following Spike.

Fluttershy was carefully tending to her animals as usual until she heard the noise that sounded like a speeding bullet off into the distance she saw 2 blue blurs going alongside each other. "Eeep" Fluttershy shrieked even though the blurs were miles away from her she took a mad dive for the nearest bush. "W-W-What in Equestria was that?" She asked She then deducted one of them was obviously Rainbow Dash since nopony else she knew could go that fast but who was the other mysterious creature with her?

 

 

Scootaloo & Sweetie Belle

"Argh!" Scootaloo sighed out of patience "How much longer is this gonna take Sweetie?" She asked as Sweetie Belle was taking her measurements. Scootaloo and Sweetie Belle were designing a new cape for their infamous group The Cutie Mark Crusaders.

 

"Just a little bit more longer." Sweetie said. "I want to make sure this new cape is perfect."

 

"But i thought our other capes were just fine." Scootaloo defended "They are. but it wouldn't hurt to come up with new desgins every once in a while." Sweetie said finally done with the measurements. "Say have you seen Applebloom today?" Sweetie asked. "Cant say i have." Scootaloo said. "We should go check up on her then we usually see each other at least once a day." Sweetie suggested. "Ehh fine Sweetie lets go it beats sitting still all day for sure." Scootaloo said grabbing her scooter.

A white hedgehog appeared from a space-time rift a fair distance from the border of Fillydelphia. "This should be the right time and place, this is where the disaster started. If I can just stop it, then the future will be safe." He stared at his two empty hands and muttered something to himself. "Hmm... It's no use, my chaos control just isn't strong enough to bring the emeralds with me yet." Silver clenched his fists and looked up. "What am I saying? I can't give up because of that, I can make it through with only my psychokinesis." Silver enveloped himself with a green, minty aura and disappeared.

 

He reappeared at the border at the city and was greeted by the sight of destruction, pain, and misery. Silver cringed and hit the wall (or at least what was left of one) with a fist. "Dang it! I'm too late!" He slowly recollected himself and noticed that a pony with wings and a familiar blue hedgehog were also watching over the city. he walked over to the hedgehog and asked. "Sonic, why are you here? I came here because I was told that I had to prevent a disaster here in order to protect the future, but... I didn't expect 'this'! What in the world happened here?" There was a slight hint of anger noticeable in the way he spoke.

(Yes, Celestia is being suspicious. Why would she trust anyone immediately, especially when there is supposively a tyrant on the loose?)

Sonic looked behind as he saw that Manic skidded to a halt from his hover board and he too came to a halt with a look of shock on his face as Manic looked towards the destruction of the city. Sonic had the same thoughts as Manic who looked over the destruction.

 

Manic: woh... Didn't know eggman did stuff like this...

 

Sonic listened to Manic as he voiced his opinion about Robotnik's actions. Sonic knew that Robotnik was to blame for this heinous crime, but he knew who was truly to blame: Metal Sonic. "That rust bucket, Metal Sonic, was the real guy that did all of this. He sees other creatures as expendable. Every time I face him, he is faster and more dangerous than the last time." Sonic said to the two next to him. Sonic heard a familiar voice call out his name and Sonic sort of cringed a bit as he saw that it was Silver the Hedgehog. "Great, here comes trouble..." Sonic thought to himself.

 

"Sonic, why are you here? I came here because I was told that I had to prevent a disaster here in order to protect the future, but... I didn't expect 'this'! What in the world happened here?" There was a slight hint of anger noticeable in the way he spoke.

"Ro-butt-nik happened, Silver. As always." Sonic told Silver. He went on to explain about how Eggman sent Metal Sonic to destroy the city posing as Sonic and then posing as a survivor to try and frame him. He told him that one of the Chaos Emeralds were already in the process of being recovered by Shadow and Omega. "Me, Manic, and my new friend, Rainbow Dash, came here to try and find Metal Sonic to convince the ponies here that I'm not a bad guy and expose 'ol' Metal Head." Sonic told Silver. That's when it hit him. "Wait a Sonic second. Omega showed me a transmission of him giving the orders to Metal Sonic. That might be enough to expose him as the criminal he is." Sonic thought to himself.

Eggman thought for a moment before taking another attempt to win over the princess with his legendary silver tongue. (he threatened to sic Metal on me if I didn't say it)

 

"Princess, I know it can't be easy for you, but I did warn you he was coming. On my own I can't do much, I couldn't even stop him from destroying the land that I called home... i was arrogant in thinking I could without help... But if I had access to the power used to quell Discord's rampage," he said while pointing at the mural of the mane six sealing away Discord. "Then perhaps I can neutralize the Chaos power he wields so effortlessly... Perhaps WE, with our powers united, magic and Egg Tech, working in unison with each other... we may just stand a chance. Please Princess, the only thing I want is to avoid having Equestria subjected to the same fate as Möbius..." The first true thing Eggman said all day. "Please, believe in me... It's all that I ask. Please tell me where to find those who wield Harmony, so that we might rise up against him! I can't guarantee that we'll win, but at we can at least try and stop his conquest!"

"Metal!" Knuckles shouted at Sonic's doppelgänger as he flew through the air. The Metal said something, something all too familiar.

 

Metal: "CHAOS CONTROL!"

 

Knuckles: "What! But only Shadow can do that!" Knuckles was taken aback, then a portal opened up in front of Metal, Metal went in.

 

"Oh no you don't! Your not getting away from me that easy!" Knuckles went full force after Metal, he was engulfed by the portal.

 

Soon the skies where Knuckles gave chase to Metal were once again empty, not a sign of Knuckles or Metal to be found.

"Hmm... well, you certainly are convincing..." Celestia was suspisious, but maybe he could be useful to remove this Hedgehog. "Hmm... very well, but tell me about this hedgehog first... it would be helpful information to know about. Also, if you know about any of his generals, please tell me about them, too.

"And the Elements of Harmony... No, I am not giving those to you. That would be an act of folly. But maybe I can introduce the wielders of them to you..." Celestia took out a quill and wrote letters to each of the Mane Six, telling them to come immediately

Spike frowned as he reached the train station and saw the tracks empty. "Without the train it would take a whole day to get to Canterlot," he told Shadow as he sat down. "Unless you know somepony faster than a train, we're stuck here," Spike muttered Glumly.

"If you know the general direction we can run there. Or maybe...." Shadow closes his eyes and focuses then gets out his Chaos Emerald. "CHAOS CONTROL" suddenly energy comes out of the emerald and engulfs Shadow and Spike teleporting them to the outskirts of Canterlot. "We can run the rest of the way. Grab on to my back." he says to the little dragon.

"Oh eggman, you definitely need more than the academy award! You deserve to be the ruler of this realm!" Discord was getting bored. "So Eggman sir, when am I gonna be out of this ACCURSED STATUE??? I hate it in here!" Discord began to lounge back. He waited for a response.

"Kinda stating the obvious there, Silver." Sonic said to Silver. Sonic knew he was right though, Eggman had to be stopped. However, that's easier said than done due to the fact that Sonic is made a wanted criminal thanks to Metal Sonic. When Silver asked about how he could help, he liked the idea of helping the victims that are still alive. "That's a mando idea, Silver. We should all look around the city to help survivors first. You can use your levitation powers to lift off any rubble trapping any ponies underneath that we can't get to." Sonic looked back towards RD, who nodded her head in agreement. "All right, gang. Let's do it to it!" Sonic said while speeding off to the nearest building with RD coming in from behind. "I wish more of the gang were here. Could really use Tails' help right now." Sonic thought to himself, wondering what happened to Tails during the assault on Robotnik's base. It was thanks to Tails' tech skills that gave Sonic a great opportunity to bypass most of Eggman's defenses on that night. Even though Sonic is the leader of the Freedom Fighters back on Mobius, he could always count on Tails to come up with a plan when he needed it the most.

Twilight Sparkle (I got permission from Clarity to run Twi and AJ for her due to some tie-ups at the moment. She'll be back though)

 

Twilight was busy rearranging her books in the library, which is her home away from Canterlot, for the 7th time this month. Twilight was wondering what could be taking Spike so long to get back and was starting to worry a bit for her number one assistant. "I better go and find him." Twilight said as she levitated the book Equestria: A History over into the E section. As Twilight was about finished with re-shelving the books, a Sonic Boom rang outside shaking the library and catching her by surprise. "What in Celestia is that?" Twilight said to herself as she galloped towards the door. She opened the door with her magic and saw two blue blurs speeding off into the distance away from Ponyville. Twilight assumed that one of them was Rainbow Dash, but she wasn't sure who the other one was. She looked to Pinkie Pie moving in a very quick pace. Twilight teleported in front of Pinkie and spoke to her. "Pinkie Pie, what was that back there and where are you going?" Twilight asked Pinkie.

Metal contacted Eggman. "Lord Robotnik, I have retrieved the Master Emerald and am heading in your direction." he reported.
