I searched around this forum and couldn't find a thread about this series, which is surprising. I love this series personally, my favorite being Tales of Vesperia.

I loved the game Tales of Vesperia. It was one of the best JRPGs I have ever played. It's sad the other Tales games are only on PS systems. It sort of unfair that ToV was the only one on Xbox 360. Few JRPGs have captured the joy I had felt while playing ToV. My favorite boss has to be that one guy who just won't die. I forget his name, but it was funny how he kept coming back to kill Yuri despite all the times he lost. And I love the fact that whenever I thought it was the end, there was more stuff. And of course, I knew that one guy you met early on would end up being the final boss. It was just a feel you get from the way he acted so distant.

The only 'Tales of' game I've played until now was Tales of Symphonia, and is without a doubt one of my favorite games of all time. I really want to play the other games though. Tales of Vesperia looks awesome, and Tales of Symphonia 2 is a must for me.

That one boss that never dies is Zagi

 

Duke is most definitely a boss (in both game terms and just the fact that he's elite). Who's your favorite character?

 

I personally love Raven.

 

It is a tough choice between Yuri Lowell and Rita Mordio. I loved to use his special arts and I always play the swordsman. But Rita was likable in her own stubborn way. Plus, I found her to be adorable.

The only one I've played and beaten is Symphonia. I loved that game, probably the first RPG I ever beat, so awesome.

I'll also probably play Abyss when I get a 3DS.

Yeah, the first time I beat the game I accidentally chose Zelos over Kratos. I didn't know that you could make that choice, and when I played again and chose Kratos just to see what happened, Zelos' death was just so sad...

 

He's one of my favorite characters of the game, along with Colette and Yuan~

I've only played Vesperia and Abyss, but they were both amazing...definitely amongst the best JRPGs I've ever played. I got Graces f a few weeks ago too, but I've got a game backlog, so I probably won't get to it for a while. Great series.

I'm only just now playing through Vesperia, and I've been trying to use Yuri and Repede. See, I love it when rpg games have some kind of pet-like character that fights in your party, but when it lets you control that character? Awesome! And it doesn't hurt that Repede's a general badass.
