gaming I See What You Did There! (Borderlands 2)

During my gaming experience, I as well as three other friends (ds8, CrazyClay, and now Caelebar) have found a few possible pony references to My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic within Borderlands 2. Maybe we are looking into this too much but that's up to you.

 

1. IN THE BEGINNING, Handsome Jack tells you he bought a diamond pony (It is alive and it may be a reference to Rarity)

2. In a later mission, you receive a weapon which description goes "I have a Soldier, a Siren, 2 Scooters and a Claptrap" which can translate into "I have a marshmallow, a tree, 2 dictionaries and a chicken...(see what I mean?)

3. Much later in the game, when you loot 15 Orange rare weapons or something else, you obtain 100 Badass rank and acquire a new player skin. "What might be this player skin?" you might ask.... it is none other than my new favorite..... The Pink Pandoracorn! (Come on! how could that not be a reference!?)

4. AND FINALLY, their is a shout out to Fluttershy during the end credits....well that's just awesome.

You know, I've played through Borderlands 2 completely (Serious Sam 3 OST making the boss fights pure awesome). The only thing I noticed was the diamond pony. Then again, I don't really care for the skins and I was too busy getting the vehicles stuck yet again. Wait a minute... How in the world did you get 15 orange weapons? I'm on my second playthrough and I haven't found one yet. Anywho, if the Mechromancer tree is anything to go by, I'd say you're spot on.

That's pretty cool but not to be pessimistic, but they referenced everything underneath the Celestia delivered sun. There are a million and one references in the game to anything you could imagine.

 

But these are by far the best references in the entire game =)

Seriously though that is awesome! I've seen some borderlands 2. I've thought about getting it, but I haven't yet. no idea why.

Would if I could but there's no way to get back to my first playthrough. I doubt I'll beat the game again so looks like I'm SoL. My bad on that one though, should've rolled Siren again instead of Gunzerker.

Also, if you "Challenge another player as Kreig the Psycho. he has a chance of saying "Friendship is hate"

 

There's just sooooo many References to MLP:FiM in Borderlands too, it's not even funny.
