Hi everyone.

 

I'd just like to tell you about some issues we've been having with the ipad verion of the game since the Everfree Forest update. I'd come in to the forum to have a browse at whats happenning and read that people are having issues with the game rolling back, and said to my wife 'i'm glad thats not happenning to us'.

 

A few days after that it did, and it hasn't stopped.

 

Gameloft restored our game after 3 days with significantly less gems and bits as that was the save they had. Oh well, we're reached level 90 and we can live with that although we'd lost over 700,000 bits and almost 50 gems. At least the games back, right?

 

Over the past few weeks its become much more frequent, We had been in the situation on at least 2 occaisions to easily win a pony in events but the rollbacks took that away from us. On the 7th February we started doing our own backups in cloud but that hasn't helped with the past 24 hours giving us 8 rollbacks to the start. It's now everytime we try to go back into the app. My 5 year old is freaking out.

 

On the 12th February we purchased a tiny gem pack to complete a purchase for Aunt Applesauce (whom we were in line to win in an event before one of the rollbacks) and then it crashed again. We contacted Gameloft and received the reply....

 

'Please send a screen shot that shows proof of the purchase you have made. we'll be waiting for your relpy.' Nadya.

 

Who the heck takes a screen shot shot of an in game purchase of gems? If you do you need help. Honestly Gameloft, the millions you're making every week are not enough that you have to ask for a screen shot of a $2.49 purchase? Get a grip.

 

We have now received a total of 5 different game restores, none of which last very long before it crashes. I know our situation is not unique, with the amount of players it's probably happening to thousands. Therein lies the problem, this product is faulty and people are making purchases in good faith expecting that they are going to get what they're paying for. i don't know about anyone else but we haven't been offered anything in regard to compensation....... Absolutely nothing. On top of all this we haven't been able to connect to friends to share hearts for months.

 

On a side note i'm also going to post this in Gamelofts forum among the 100's of other posts about how bad this game has been performing.

Well, there is nothing I can do for the rollback problems you've been having. The only thing I can say is that this problem has not occured on Iphone yet. As for the proof of purchase, it is very simple. Just send a screenshot of your transaction history from your bank account or Apple Store. Edited by boiteporte

Any of ya'll come across a pony (that you have) that the game won't let you assign to a shop?

 

I have. I can fix it if I exit/quit the game, then open it again.

 

When this happens, the red horseshoe thing around the pony's portrait is missing until I do the aforementioned fix.

I've decided I don't use my tablet enough so I'm giving it to my grandma to replace her worn out Kindle Fire, but I want to keep my game progress of course. While the save backup feature Gameloft implemented isn't the greatest (it should just auto save to the cloud, and auto restore IMO when you log in with an account and just be synced across all devices), they at least have one now so I figured the transfer from my tablet to my phone wouldn't be too painful. WRONG!

 

I have had Gameloft send the save file to my phone now twice, and both times it will not work. The popup comes up saying they are "happy to send a backup save to restore progress" and I tap load, but then it just tosses up an error saying to try again. I've tried to restore it on the wifi at college, the wifi here at home, and my 4G.

 

Has anyone else ran into this issue and if so were you able to resolve it? Like I said, I've had them send it twice now. I've even cleared the cache and uninstalled/reinstalled the game. The error is still as far as I can get.

I have a Samsung tablet, so I used to play it from the Google Play Store, but then the buggest bug ever happened.

 

It reset some of my progress.

 

It didn't reset all of my progress, but enough that i didn't know where it left off.

 

And to make matters worse, I spent money on that game.

 

And I cannot ask for a refund because I dunno how much I lost!

you're probably suffering from the rollback problem as other people. you're gonna have to contact the customer support for any solutions. if they said that if they're working on solving the issue, you have to wait for the hotfix or the next update.

Yea, I guess I'll have to use Helium again. Was just hoping to do it easier this time.

 

They didn't seem to have an issue with it being two different devices though. They asked for the MAC address of both my old device and the new one, and then sent the save file no problem. Other then it not loading of course.

For those of you guys that are suffering rollback problems, your prayers have been answered. the game's facebook page said

Hello everypony. Good news, we've done a step forward on the progress rollback/reset issue! Our team managed to find a fix, we've tested it and they are pretty confident BUT it's a very complex issue and we can't be 100% sure it will be a success for every players affected until you try it... hang on, the update is coming soon!

I feel like I should be celebrating, but I am actually quite scared...

 

Why am I scared? Because I uninstalled my game and I've had experience with games in the past where I uninstall, reinstall, and lose all my progress.

 

However, I think I did the whole, 'sign-in with Google' thing, so I should be safe from that, right?

I don't play from or use google play. I use the iPad to play the game.

 

I wish I can update mine, but I have to get my brother to put in his pass to his acc for the update to take effect. I hope you guys enjoy the update.

Heads up to anyone installing the new game: 

I removed all of the shadows from Canterlot, moved King Sombra's home/a rainbow fountain/some trees and ferns into the newly unlocked/expanded area, and when I logged into the game later the shadows were back and the game deleted the items I moved into those areas (Sombra, fountain, and all). They're not in my inventory, and I'm down all the gold I had spent to unlock aforementioned areas...

 

... so if you do unlock those areas, be careful, because it might reset itself and you might also lose whatever ponies/items you put there. I already contacted customer care to look into this issue. 

Edit: Also, two of the Canterlot ponies are now balloon pop ponies only: A.K. Yearling and Emerald Gem. I haven't bought them yet because I have been saving up for Celestia. I'm really miffed by this change.

The new shop that was revealed requires gems to buy just to let you guys know. I wish they can give us canterlot shops that will allow us to buy with bits only instead of gems. A lot of us have a lot of money to spend on besides the expansions, but we're still desperate for more canterlot shops that requires bits to buy with.

Since the new update is coming, I assume Android users like me will have to wait for a bit longer.

 

the new update is live for iOS users. As for android users, it's coming soon. Twilight's castle questline is too easy, but wait time is too long. the 1st phase is like about 1hr or 1hr and 30mins total, 2nd phase takes about 2hrs and then 3rd phase takes about 5-6hrs. the new shops that allows us to assign 5 ponies is gem based, but i wish they would allow us to spend our bits on these new shops.

And yeah, spending bits on shops is far much better in the long run.

I just want to add that the pay-for ballon pop now costs TWENTY gems. TWENTY. I'm sure the odds haven't gotten any better, either. And the whole "download this new game" as a quest that costs one gem to skip is pretty low. 

 

I got robbed of about a million coins with expanding an area that reset itself, and the game is getting less and less fun to play. This new update is awful. :(

For those of you guys that are still suffering the rollback problems (or issue), they're still fixing it as their top priority also there are still hotfix coming up next week so here are the issues so far

 

- Canterlot expansions (please don't expand until the hotfix goes live. If you've lost your ponies/shop after expanded in Canterlot, please contact our Customer Care)
- Tirek disapeared during a quest
- Mute Mane 6
