Do any of you guys have a problem connecting to the social network? cuz I'm having trouble with mine recently right now and Not sure if it's just me or the gameloft live server and can't load up the leader/scoreboard on the EG dance mini-game.

I've downloaded the game. I think it is kinda fun even though the prices are steep.

Well It Is, but the more you shops you have, the more you have to wait to collect your money, exp, and shards. What's more fun is playing EG dance mini-game.

 

As for lowered cost of the gems, The Update notes didn't say anything about that so obviously it wasn't included in the notes so I guess I'm convinced (or sold). It just says that they added the Cafeteria Song and and Time to Come together song, and then to celebrate hearth's warming eve is that we get new ponies, shops, and holiday decors and mane6 will be dressed up in their hearth's warming eve costumes, but the downside part of the costume is that Princess Twilight Sparkle will not have her wings and crown, making it hard enough to spot her in canterlot while the changelings are in twilight sparkle's form.

 

Also According to the notes, we suppose to get Conductor, Lightning Dust, and Professor, but not sure when are we gonna get them. My guess is that they might be part of the EG dance mini-game challenge.

Personally I think this update SUCKS!  I got all excited at the prospect of the Cafeteria Song and its some horrible hacked together short version.   It also seems to be even more out of sync between the icons on the screen and the music than ever.   I don't think its down to me using Genymotion either as different songs have always seemed to have different degrees of sync.

 

Ah well, at least I found out about My Little Rock Band, with the full length version of the song on there done WELL.  Its pretty sad when the community can do a better job Gameloft.

 

I don't get their logic of using the full length version of Time to Come Together but no vocals (which spoils it) and a hacked version of Caferia Song WITH vocals, which again ruins it.  Its like they are trying their best to fall short.  I mean Opening Theme is awesome with or without vocals (although I still wish it had them, or at least the option to choose) but the rest really REALLY need them.

 

The icing on the cake is Gameloft Live lost my login details after the update and the game is still playing up even once I put them back in.

 

I did find a glitch though, I accidentally logged in to the wrong GameLoft account on the game on my PC to redeemed the hearts so I couldn't put them on my phone where they intended.  I logged back in the correct account and discovered if you login on two copies of the game at the same time you can redeem the inbox on both, as they do not check the server again after initially loading the social page.

Yay, a new update. My user is 'Fluttters' so if anyone wants to send a fr, I will accept it when I'm on next time. I usually go on it everyday, and sending gifts always when I can.

 

Btw, how can I get more loyalty, kindness and magic shards? I have laughter, honesty and generosity lodestones activated, got like 500+ laughter, 100+ honesty and generosity shards extra... I only get the other 3 shards extrememely rarely.

 

Kindness and Loyalty Shards are easy to get if you have a lot of shops. Due to Canterlot, It should be easy enough to get enough shards that you need from the Canterlot Shop including Magic Shards. Ponyville Shops? Well It's variety by the shops so you have assign the ponies carefully to the shops. Usually Ponyville Hospital, and Town Hall has loyalty and magic shards as I know about, but the Rest can be easy to obtain.

Just got the new update today!  Anyone else notice that the theater now has three new commercials, and therefore six more gems to give?  Or is that just a bizarre glitch I'm getting?

I've not been able to connect for a little while now, either comes up with a white screen that just says error or that I have no friends. Really sucks because I'm at a quest where I need to visit friends and such.

 

Just curious but are you Android or iOS? I found in the past when I was having issues on my Note 2 I could still connect on my iPhone 4s, now I only have a Note 3 though so I can't test.

Edit: Ok. I got it to update but since I reinstalled it, it started me over. I better be able to get my data back.

Sadly, no. They don't keep your progress on a server linked to your account or anything. I just upgraded my phone and had to start all over. This is the biggest flaw with this game. Progress needs to be linked to your gameloft account like many other games in this genre do, this way all you have to do when you get a new/another device is log in and pick up where you left off. Rather the way they have it now, save data is on your device and linked to that device. Always thought it was stupid I couldn't play with my town at home on my tablet and then take it on the go with my phone, rather it was two separate towns, both linked to my account, and treasure chests I would receive would go back and forth between towns depending on the last one I played.

 

Needless to say, this is the main reason I will never spend money on this game. I probably wouldn't anyways, but that is a total snub to those who do. Not having data linked to an account in this disposable phone age is stupid.

It's most likely that I'm playing the app on my iPad though. I think it takes a long time just to load up your friend list.

Does anyone know of any good glitches one could exploit to get free gems? There was a good glitch that I used to use on the first version of the game but since the updates it's been fixed and I can't find anymore glitches.

 

Also, has anyone won Caramel from the balloon pop game? He's the last balloon pop pony I need and I never get him. Is he even winnable?

Nope, there aren't any more glitches. There may be a few still, but not yet discovered.

 

Now as for winning Caramel, I have him. It's a matter of luck really.

I really want to like this update because they did a lot of really cool things (reduced prices on a number of ponies/shops, the dance game bar seems to fill up much quicker, a quest that gives a 15 gem reward, new ponies and shops for Canterlot, etc.), but it also seems to have sent my glitches through the roof.  The game lag that I've been experiencing for weeks has only gotten worse, and now results in frequent crashes.  Also, I now have the addition of it refusing to think that I have any friends, which I think has to do with it not being able to connect to my GL live account, though I'm not entirely certain about that.  So yeah, it's being quite temperamental and frustrating since this new update...
