gaming Explorer on Xbox

Has anyone used the new Internet Exlorer on the Xbox. I'm using it right now. It seems to be pretty good, but one thing I don't get and cant stand is that they didn't include a flash player or active x so I watch any videos you guys post and even some of the pics What do you think of the new app?

I'd say it's a start,

at least we can now access the internet on our Xbox's and the pages load up pretty quickly so that's a bonus

 

 

my biggest gripe, however, would have to be, like you said, you can't view videos on it and if you don't have one of those Xbox keypads that plug into the controller, typing is gonna be a pain

 

 

other than that, it's fairly decent

Wait, Xboxes have Internet browsers now? I gotta go look into that since mine's already booted up. I though that update seemed big.

Well, it looks like microsoft is finally doing something right... sortof....

 

When my xbox broke in June, I decided to get a PS3 because I was sick of dealing with the xbox and microsoft... and I hated paying to play online... and to watch netflix and youtube...

 

I actually don't own a computer, ever since I got my PS3 on july 2nd I have used it in place of a computer with it's web browser... it is how I am talking to you guys right now.

 

While it has it's fair share of problems, it still works really great. (so long as you have a keyboard to plug in)

 

I havn't actually tried the new app for the xbox... but, given how Microsoft handles things, it is likely not going to be very good.

Before I even try I am going to assume you need gold for this, something I don't have. Might have to check this out once I do get gold back whenever that may be.

I checked it out, I didn't do much but mess around on the Onion website since is was pre-bookmarked, but it seemed to work well, to bad about not having flash though.

I really don't like it, it is almost exactly like the browser from the wii. Besides, my computer and xbox are hooked to the same TV so I really have no reason to use it.

Yeah I get really annoyed that videos doesn't work. I hope that they fix this soon because I can't watch porn music videos.

Well, it does have a dedicated Youtube and Hulu apps on it to use for that if you have a Gold Membership. Does the browser need one? I already have one so I don't if it works without it.

I don't know, I've never really done an in-depth look at how it works, I just used it when I was bored one day at 5AM and didn't feel like booting a game up yet.

my OTHER problem with the Youtube App on Xbo is that the video constantly buffers almost every five seconds :/

Well as I said in my earlier post, I do this too and still I am able to type pretty fast. So I do not think it is a problem at all. But that's just me..

I was kind of forced to use it for a few days, when my computer was in the shop. This was back when the beta had first come out (late July if I remember correctly.) Let's just say, I was grateful when I got my computer back. It's still better than Wii Internet, though, not nearly as slow.
