A MLP Forums Youtube Channel

I think we need an official MLP Forums Youtube Channel where we can add fan made content made by MLP Forum users. All fan made projects made by forum users could be uploaded to the official Youtube Channel. This could encourage more fan made projects, invite people to the MLP Forums (if we link in description or whatever), and influence others to make more projects on the forum.

I haven't heard anything about one, but I think it would be awesome if we had an official one. It would be like our own EQD essentially if we made compiled all forum user fan works into videos. We could even post art in videos and other video works if approved by the higher authority on the forum who would manage the Youtube Channel. Edited November 3, 2012 by Fox

I'm for a YouTube channel, we have a DA group, Steam group, Synchtube room, MC server. Didn't YouTube attempt to make groups at one point?

Yeah I do agree that its a cool idea, especially since once I get some things around I plan to do a LP and Game Review channel of my own so I'd like to be part of an official MLPForums channel to have a bit of a YouTube family feel going on (if any of that made any sense to you).

 

I feel like someone has tried doing such a thing before, but it never took off, but I guess you'd have to ask someone else to know for sure.

 

I guess since the forums are substantially bigger now it wouldn't be a bad idea to try this if we get enough people to back it up. I would pledge to back it up, but at the moment I don't even have what I need to support myself at this given moment, so maybe when I get started (I estimate early next year because money is hard to get these days) I could help with such a project.

Im all for it it would at least get us more out there as well as make videos or fan art more available to people

MLP Forums does have an official YouTube channel, but it isn't something we have had much of a use for in the past. I like your idea of uploading fan-made content to it, @Fox - the primary issue is that we'll need people to produce the actual videos. I don't think anyone in the current staff has both the time and video production skill needed for that, so this would be a larger-scale operation that we'll need some time to consider and evaluate.
