Hmm. I hardly know anything about the Godzilla franchise. But i LOVE the monsters in it.

They are all amazing in their own way.

I remember that we had an Xbox at my school when i was in the fifth and forth grade. And there was a Godzilla game with it.

And boy, i loved that game. Amazing monsters.

Anyhow, my favorite has to be King Ghidorah. I love hydras ;)

When I was a kid, Mothra was my favorite. I mean, I liked Godzilla too, but that's a given. He's a giant lizard that breathes radioactive fire. What's not to love? But, I don't know, Mothra always just really stuck out to me as a kid and that Godzilla movie was my favorite when I was a wee lad.

I also like Rodan. Rodan is pretty awesome.

This is why I personally like the original Godzilla the most. I also like how sometimes he's heroic and sometimes he's tearing up Tokyo.

Agreed. Plus, I mean...Godzilla (or, well, Gojira, whichever you prefer) has such a deep connection to Japan's history. I mean, the later ones are fun and exciting, monsters fighting, yeah! But the first is actually kind of...dark and dreary, in a way. I mean, Godzilla basically came from the Japanese fear of the effects of the atomic bomb, because they didn't know what kind of long-term damage it would cause. In the first, Godzilla was...pretty much a threat. A kind of looming reminder of what was done to Japan at the end of the war, basically.

That was just lost in the American version. There is no cultural relevance to Godzilla there, except for...well, on the global scale in terms of nuclear testing, but you know what I mean. Haha. And, yeah, that was kind of what inspired J.J. Abrams to make Cloverfield. We didn't have that sort of landmark American monster that was tied to heavily to our culture and/or history and what have you.

What can I say? I like dragons.

I watched a lot of Godzilla movies as a kid. I also like Mecha Godzilla and Mothra. But to tell you the truth, I like some of the newer Godzilla movies better.

Yeah, it would definitely be Mothra. I know the character is really cheesy but c'mon, Godzilla doesn't have a pair of fairies that sing songs about him.

Godzilla, because he's pure awesomeness.

Biollante, because that crocodile mouth is horrifying.

King Ghidorah, because he's a three-headed golden dragon from space. Tell me that's not awesome.

Space Godzilla. Those diamond shoulders are amazing.

Mecha Godzilla. Any of them. The most awesome one is the third one, Kiryu.

Anguirus is a croc with spikes on his back and bull horns. Awesome.

Rodan, because Pterodactyls are bad-ass.

Mothra is cool.

King Caesar is OK.
