  1. Even though I'm not a huge fan of Pinkie Pie, I do have to say I think this was my favorite episode so far. Or at the very least, one of them. I found it the most entertaining. All of the songs were absolutely fantastic, and there was just a wonderful energy to the whole episode. I personally felt it was pretty top notch.
  2. Yeesh. There is a wicked argument about the documentary going on in the FB group for bronies in my state.

  3. I like that now that I actually need Magic element pieces, the game has stopped giving them to me all together.

  4. Something that drives me crazy about this game. The clearable items not staying cleared. I'm not going to lie, the fact that they respawn is the most irritating thing to me.
  5. I played through Dishonored twice over break. I love this game. It's been so long since a game has made me this happy.

Is it an open-ended FPS/rpg kind of game?

It's more of a stealth platformer kind of game, with action and RPG elements. You can shoot and kill your way through it if you want, and there are powers you can purchase.

  6. Damn it, tumblr. Spoiler tags. Use them. Getting real tired of that.

  7. "War does not determine who is right; only who is left." -Bertrand Russell. "Love is just a chemical. We give it meaning by choice." - Eleanor Lamb. "Humans are cowards in the face of happiness." - Momoko, in the film Kamikaze Girls "Oh, but you can't expect to wield supreme executive power just because some watery tart threw a sword at you!" - Monty Python and the Holy Grail "We read fantasy to find the colors again, I think. To taste strong spices and hear the songs the siren sang. There is something old and true in fantasy that speaks to something deep within us, to the child that dreamt one day he would hunt the forests of the night, and feast beneath the hollow hills, and a love to last forever somewhere south of Oz and North of Shangri-La. They can keep their Heaven. When I die, I'd sooner go to Middle Earth." - George R.R. Martin. (From a longer quote, but I chose my favorite part to save space)
  8. Is Discord in my Ponyville? Sometimes when I go in there are new trees, new rocks or new roads. I have not built new roads. What is happening.

  9. Man. I really liked the season premiere, but was King Sombra the most underdeveloped villain we've had yet or what?

I'm going to call him King Sombrero from now on, because that's the amount of personality he had.

I think sombreros are very festive. King Sombra was anything but festive.

Indeed. I guess I liked his design. Cool moving shadowy dude. But, seriously, why was he taking over the Crystal Empire? For what reason? Detaaaails. I know you can only do so much in 40 minutes, but seriously. Ah well. I still enjoyed it, really.

  10. Apparently clearable items reappear in the GameLoft game? That's sort of annoying.

  11. Yeah, wow, PonyEcho was a little too extreme with that in my opinion. But he does raise a good point! I don't think this means Arin is a brony. Not as far as I know, anyway. Maybe not a brony, but a fan at least, maybe. At least, when I come across cartoonists/animators, they seem to be a fan of the show at least. I think he was mostly there because he did voices in the .MOV series, though.
  12. Man. All my quests now involve gems. Gems are so rare and I can't afford to buy some.

  13. Damn it! Why did I look at the youtube comments for the premiere episode! Just spoiled the ending for myself!

  14. I will be adding a few of here, assuming that's okay! I mean, I figure that's why we're all putting our usernames down here. Haha. Anyway, if anyone wants to add me, I'm OsakaBomb! Also, yeah, I don't know what the deal with the sale ones. Might have been an error on GameLoft's part? Either starting the sale too early or ending it too early, I don't know. I'm just glad I managed to get the 60% off DJ PON-3 before it ended! Haha.
  15. Agreed. Plus, I mean...Godzilla (or, well, Gojira, whichever you prefer) has such a deep connection to Japan's history. I mean, the later ones are fun and exciting, monsters fighting, yeah! But the first is actually kind of...dark and dreary, in a way. I mean, Godzilla basically came from the Japanese fear of the effects of the atomic bomb, because they didn't know what kind of long-term damage it would cause. In the first, Godzilla was...pretty much a threat. A kind of looming reminder of what was done to Japan at the end of the war, basically. That was just lost in the American version. There is no cultural relevance to Godzilla there, except for...well, on the global scale in terms of nuclear testing, but you know what I mean. Haha. And, yeah, that was kind of what inspired J.J. Abrams to make Cloverfield. We didn't have that sort of landmark American monster that was tied to heavily to our culture and/or history and what have you.
  16. When I was a kid, Mothra was my favorite. I mean, I liked Godzilla too, but that's a given. He's a giant lizard that breathes radioactive fire. What's not to love? But, I don't know, Mothra always just really stuck out to me as a kid and that Godzilla movie was my favorite when I was a wee lad. I also like Rodan. Rodan is pretty awesome.
  17. Bethesda is really good, in my opinion. Sure, the games can be really buggy, but they are such high quality to me that I feel I can overlook it. And the bugs are rarely game breaking ones. In all my years of playing Bethesda games, since...whenever I played Morrowind for the first time, the two worst was with Fallout 3 (constant freezing) and Skyrim (the game randomly erasing one of my saves and making me have to start all over again). Though, I am still sort of upset at the PS3 DLC for Skyrim. Or lack thereof. I really hope that issue gets fixed. Hmm...Rockstar has generally been good. Valve is amazing. I don't believe they are making games anymore, but I was a HUGE fan of Oddworld Inhabitants for the longest time. I think they are going more into make CG movies now, last I heard. I always enjoyed the Oddworld games, though.
  18. For me, I don't think it was the show itself. I mean, I was really impressed by the first episode and pretty much liked it from the get-go. I think it was more my first experience with the community and Equestria Daily that made me consider the title of brony, I suppose? I mean, just the music and the art and the stories that were coming out of the fandom really impressed me. It was cool. It made me think, "Wow, jeez, this is what was sparking all the hate? Seriously?" (...That being said, there are some fans I've met who...lack social graces, let's say.) But, yeah, I'd say it was more that than the show itself.
  19. Ah, yes, definitely a trend I've noticed running rampant through the fandom. Does it annoy me? No. Does it confuse me? Sometimes, yeah. It kind of depends. Overall, I think it's kind of silly to make headcanon stuff on such irrelevant details like that. Like Lyra and Bon Bon getting shipped just because they have been seen by each other more than once. Because, you know, it couldn't be they're just friends who spend a lot of time together. That kind of goes along with the whole "Rainbow Dash being a lesbian because she's a tomboy and rainbow colored" sort of thing. Like...that doesn't mean anything. if that were the case for Lyra, Bon Bon and Rainbow Dash, I'd be cool with it. It does get a little out of control sometimes. ...I'm not entirely against it, though, because...I gotta be honest, some of the comics and drawings I've seen that stemmed from Lyra and Bon Bon shipping have been pretty amusing and/or cute and adorable. So. I don't know. I'm okay with it in small doses, but some people go a little too crazy with it sometimes, I guess.
  20. I'm actually enjoying this a lot. I've encountered some weird errors here and there, but they were more...cosmetic and didn't really affect the gameplay at all. I don't know, maybe it's a little mundane and repetitive (as sim-type gams tend to be) I'm really enjoying it, honestly. I like that they got a good portion of the voice actors in it. At least for or major characters. Who have I got so far...Twilight Sparkle, Bon Bon, Mrs. Cup Cake, Cheerilee, Pinkie Pie Big McIntosh, Mr. Carrot Cake, Apple Bloom, Braeburn, and Applejack. Vinyl Scratch's home is being built right now. She'll be ready in about 4 1/2 hours? It was weird. There was a 60% off sale on, and I took advantage of that for Vinyl. It said it was going on for three days, but then it randomly disappeared over an hour later or so. Guess it was a mistake on GameLoft's side?
  21. I tend to switch it up a lot of the time! Normally I tend to go up the stairs fairly slowly, taking one step at a time. I tend to march up the stairs a lot of the time, too. If I'm in a hurry, I'll take big strides and skip two (or sometimes three) steps, but that tends to wear me out if I go up a lot of steps. So I try not to do that often. I have noticed that if I'm at home and going up the stairs barefoot or in my socks I tend to walk on the tips of my feet, kind of? Primarily on the ball of my feet? I don't know why I do this, but it's a trend I've noticed.
  22. Books! Yes! Okay, anyway. I would recommend the Temeraire series. I admittedly have only read the first book so far, but it was very good. The first book is called His Majesty's Dragon. It's excellent. I haven't finished it yet, but I'm more than halfway through the first book in the Lotus War series, Stormdancer. It's pretty awesome. Steampunk fantasy with mythical Japanese creatures and...a general feudal Japan feel. It's very neat. The first book is fantasy, set during the napoleonic wars, but the wars are fought with dragons. The second book might be more your speed, since it has more to do with demons and the supernatural.
  23. I don't really have a career or job right since I'm in school. The best I can answer is what I'm working towards. Which...I'm still not entirely sure on. I mean, I know the general field, or what have you. I'm currently an english major, emphasis in creative writing. So I don't know. Something working with publishing or something? Maybe translating? Teaching creative writing? Novelist? I guess I am mostly leaning towards some form of journalism. I've done some journalism type things before, mostly writing reviews and articles for friend's websites and...I really enjoyed it. I wouldn't mind getting paid for it, I think.
  24. Kinda looking for people to add as friends on the game. Anyone have a GL LIVE! account?

Dragonvale? I don't think I know that one, but it has Dragon in the title. THe other I'm hooked on is Simpsons Tapped Out. That one's kinda fun.

There's also Battle Nations. I was into that one for a little bit.

Ahh. Interesting. Yeah, I was really into the Jurassic Park one for a while, but I got bored with it. I like stuff like the Simpsons and MLP ones. I like watching something lively like a town or city. As much as I love dinosaurs, watching dinosaurs wander around cages and cars drive around is...really boring after a while.

  25. You guys. Oh my gosh. The GameLoft game is pretty rad. I'm losing my mind over it.
