[Cherry Blossom 864]

A long time has passed and the mane 6 have passed away. Though their efforts in restoring harmony to Equestria was unchanged, but it didn't last forever. Queen Chrysalis had sent her Changeling army to invade Equestria, but with a much larger force. The Royal Guard had been outnumbered 10 to 1 and was quickly defeated by the overwhelming force. Within a month, half of Equestria was taken by the Changeling army and Cerberus was brainwashed, causing all of the monsters in Tartarus to be set free. Though Crystal Kingdom was first to fall and King Sombra was returned. Discord was free again and went on another reign of terror. The villains worked together to become an unstoppable force, unscathed by any resistance. Princess Celestia and Princess Luna knew who the new Element bearers, but the Elements of Harmony were stolen. In another effort to try and defeat the evil trio, Princesses Celestia and Luna created new 6 Elements of Harmony: Love, Courage, Altruism, Responsibility, Justice, and Peace. Now all they had to do was deliver them to the next 6 chosen ponies, but before they could, Canterlot's defenses were overrun by the Changelings. In a last effort to give hope to Equestria, Princess Luna sent a warning, as nightmares to the 12 chosen ponies. Then, Canterlot fell to the hooves of the Changelings. Discord corrupted the min of Princess Luna, casuing her to be Nightmare Moon again. However Princess Celestia's mind was too powerfull, so Queen Chrysalis sealed her in a Coccon. As the 12 chosen Element bearers wake up, the nightmare they had showed them what they needed to do. But their abilities had been taken away by some sort of evil magic emitted from an evil aura. Now in Ponyville, they ready themselves to go on a long journey to save Equestria.

Sugar Rush awoke from her . She rubbed her face with her front hooves, beads of sweat ran through her face as she looked around the room "It can't be...." she said burying her face underneath her pillow "It was just a dream" she told herself as she looked at the window across her room "Just go back to sleep" she muttered as she curled under the covers and tried to sleep. Of course her pitiful attempts failed, and she resumed awake. She laid in her bed, putting nothing but a single hoof on her head "Me? save Equestria..... not possible" she said in a barely audible voice. "What am I supposed to do for the rest of the night, I just can't sleep anymore" she said as she crawled out of bed. "Maybe a flight around town might help, it's way too early, I doubt anypony else is awake...."

"Wagh!"

Time Twister sprang awake. "What was that... dream? The princesses... something about my destiny?" He shook his head. "Maybe... maybe some of my frineds can make sense of it, but I'm no diviner. Hmm..." He started to think deep about this. "Once is chance, twice is coincidence, and three times is enemy action... so maybe, if I were to believe this dream, then... I need two others who also had this dream. But who else was in it that I recognize...?" He started to pace around his room.

 

"Sugar Rush. She was in the dream, wasn't she? After breakfast, I'm going to ask Sugar Rush about it. Maybe she'll know more..."

Cloud Piff woke from her nightmare with a start. "Oh, my.... That was just..." She said to herself. The dream had consisted of Luna telling her she was supposed to save Equestria. " I hope this dream doesn't come true... There is NO WAY I could deal with that kind of responsibility..." Cloud got up and showered, then sat down to a bowl of cereal, thinking about what the weather schedule was and thinking about maybe enrolling in the Cloudsdale Meteorology for Pegasi college.

Diamond awoke in a cold sweat. "Wha... What in equestria was that about... Thats just... Oh my.* She thought, sitting up and staring at the grandfather clock next to the door. *5:30.* She thought, glancing out the window to see a small light on the horizon. "I need tea." She muttered Standing up and trotting down the stairs to her kitchen.

Diamond placed a tea kettle full of water onto her stove and sat down in her small living room.

Sugar flew over her house, everypony was asleep at the moment, the sun hadn't even rose yet, the only noise that could be heard was her flying. She admired her surroundings, somethings other ponies paid little or no attention to. She landed in a random cloud as she awaited the sunrise. She yawned drowsily as she laid her head on the cloud.

Time Twister looked and saw movement outside. Interesting...

After shooting a quick time pause spell to get a closer look, he discovered he wasn't the only one awake. As the spell lost effect, he was running outside. MAybe the others that he saw were up for the same reason he was...

"Ah, everything is going according to plan. I have all the elements and all the other villains have been freed." Queen Chrysalis said to herself as she laughed and sat on Princess Celestia's throne.

Suddenly the entrance to the throne was smashed open and a few changelings were thrown into the room, all beat up. "Queen Chrysalis!" Apple Strudel yelled, wearing Dragoon armor and holding a javelin pointed at the Changeling queen. "Please stop all of this chaos." Cherry Blossom said, wearing a White Mage robe and holding a white rod.

"This is all you have to stop me? You can't stop me, but you can join my cause." she said, charging energy into her horn and shooting it Cherry Blossom. Cherry Blossom's white rod was hit and it broke in half, but she was also knocked against a wall, causing her to fall unconscious.

"Cherry! Why you-" Apple Strudel was suddenly being touch on the forhead by a green beam coming from Chrysalis's magic.

"I apologize your highness." he said as he dropped his weapon and bowed down to Chrysalis.

 

Chrysalis let out one more evil laugh.

Snowy Fields lay still, staring at the side of his tent. It had been a few hours since he woke up but the nightmare he had was still on his mind. There's something odd about that nightmare...it's really detailed. I can still remember the whole thing clearly. Maybe I should head back to Canterlot. Snowy stood up and levitated his armor over to himself and started putting it on. Snowy Fields stepped outside and looked at the night sky. It wasn't much past midnight. The Moon stood still at the peak of its brilliance. I would have sworn it wasn't that early...oh well. I'll start heading back anyway.

Coud finished her breakfast, and thought of what to do next. * Well... I could go for a fly, or a walk. I think I'll walk...*

 

Cloud left her house through the front door. The sun hadn't come up yet, so she had to pay hard attention to what was in front of her. Suddenly, as she neared a small home, she froze. *What in Equestria is going on? Why can't I move?* She waited. She finally unfroze as a unicorn trotted out of the house. She flew to him as fast as possible. "Excuse me, sir, but what was that, that just made me freeze like that?"

"I don't know what you are talking about," Time Twister said, confused. "But... by any chance, did you have a dream last night? A dream about... Luna and Celestia telling us that the future of Equestria is in our hooves?"

(Whoops, sorry, I don't know much about spells and stuff, I don't have a unicorn OC ^^ Just ignore that bit, then)

 

"Oh... Uh, yeah... I did. Why?... Did you? It was really weird..." Cloud was surprised-she thought she was the only one who had dreams that crazy. *i wonder if anypony else had that dream last night...*

"Twice is a coincidence..." he mumbled to himself. Maybe, just maybe...

He walked up to a pegasus that looked like she was about to leave... "Hello, ma'am... did, by any chance, you had a dream last night that featured the Princesses telling you that you were the only one that could save Equestria?"

Diamond jumped when her kettle started to whistle.

She trotted over, took it off the stove and poured it into a mug with a green tea, tea bag in it.

"I am going to go sit outside." She thought opening her front door and sat down on a small chair on her front porch.

She watched as the sun slowly began to peek over the horizon. "What was with that dream ?" She thought.

WInds woke from a vivid dream with a start and looked out at his surroundings. The Everfree forest wasn't the most inviting place to wake up in the mornings but after being chased by DIscord he hadn't had many places to go. "Well I'd better get some food in me before I get set upon again," he muttered as he left for what he thought was the direction of the nearest village.

As the unicorn trotted away to see another mare, Cloud walked on. Eventually Cloud passed another pony. This one was on their front porch, looking like they just had the weirdest dream... *wait a sec... Two ponies have already had the same dream, what if a third did too?* Cloud paused at the sidewalk leading to the house with the porch. She debated talking to the mare. Deciding she should, Cloud walked down the sidewalk briskly, quickly reaching the porch. "Hi, I'm Cloud Puff, but call me Cloud. I can't help but notice you look like you just had the weirdest dream... Did it include Celestia and Luna? Possibly telling you the fate of Equestria was in yours and 11 others hooves?"

Snowy Fields had finished packing his camp and was walking along the road towards the nearby town. He was regretting his decision to start walking back towards Canterlot before daybreak. "Perhaps there's an inn there that I can stay at." He thought.

Diamond stared at the pony that had just walked up to her porch. "How did you... How did you know that ?" She said, in a slightly scared voice. "Wait...Wait wait wait... You were one of the ponies in my dream... Did you have the same thing ? Do you think maybe it was just a coincid... Im sorry, My name is Light Diamond... You can just call me Diamond... if you want ?" She said.

"It's all right, I'm Coud Puff. Yes, I did have the same dream, and I saw you, which is why I came up here. This probably isn't a coincidence, as now three of us have had the same dream. By the way, you can call me Cloud. Or Puff. Whichever floats your boat." Coud said quickly to the confused Light Diamond. She thought about moving on to the point, but decided it would be better to let Diamond process what was happening.

Winds wound up at a town close to morning. When he arrived he trotted past two ponies when he heard one mention that dream he had dreamed. He quickly turned around and faced the two ponies. "Who are you guys, and what do you know about that dream," he asked them both with an ice spell charged.

Dawnpath woke up with a start as Nightmare Moon ripped through his nightmare, causing him to bonk his head on the reebranch he was sleeping under. He sighed, not used to anything but deadlines on his books. Rubbing his eyes tiredly, he observed his surroundings, noting that running away from home... still wasn't a dream. He sighed, and landed on the ground, stretching and picking up some of the paper that had fallen out of his bag over night. He felt off, like there was something he was forgetting, and that he needed to find it.

"Um... This is rather strange... Would you like to come inside for a cup of tea ?" She asked walking back onto her porch and picking up her mug full of green tea. "I just boiled some water and there is still some left if you would like a mug." She said, pushing open the door into her small house and smiling.

I was dreaming about rainbows and lolipops and bing bang boom it all turns to chaos and calamity..." Leaf Orange said as he swam back to the surface "I think that dream to nightmare also told me that I was one of the chosen ones and I was their last hope... WHAT CHOSEN ONES?" Leaf yelled out after he was recovering "Ok, maybe yelling shouldn't end the story here... " He then flew up to the cloud he was sleeping on, and grabbed his hat. He then saw another pegasus pony, near the edge of the forest of the lake he landed on, "I should start asking around and see If I can get anypony who understands my dream, a bit weird, but... whatever..." He then flew over to him. "I don't know why I came here, but I'm curious, I had some weird dream where I was usually dreaming about something private, don't ask about it... when suddenly, Celestia and Luna popped out of nowhere and showed the world looking like it's ending and they said that I was chosen... you understand... ummm, don't you?"

He looked straight at the pony, "First off, if you'd told any other pony that, you would be on the fast-lane to Chrysalis right now. Or you would be thought to have gone insane. Now, I couldn't understand it much either, but I have this feeling in my gut, I think we need to get together with other ponies who had the dream. Judging from how we just met, it shouldn't be that hard. Oh, I wish I had access to the library in Ponyville! I just KNOW it had a book on dreaming," he mumbles under his breath.
