Animae pottered around Charmer's house, smiling at everything, trying t get a feel for what kind of pony she was. Obviously very loving and lovable and friendly. Nice and sweet too. But past that and her name, he knew almost nothing about her. "Nice place she has"

"Ani, I'm going to go out for a bit. You can stay here if you want." Charmer felt embarrassed suddenly. She had acted on impulse. Now she was wondering why she ever did that. Feelings burst underneath the surface

Charmer stepped out and headed to Fluttershy's  house to see if her friend was around. While she was on her way, she saw Angel. "Hey Angel." Charmer said softly.

Charmer stepped out and headed to Fluttershy's  house to see if her friend was around. While she was on her way, she saw Angel. "Hey Angel." Charmer said softly. 

Animae read her voice in his mind, quickly figuring he'd embarrassed her heavily. He left a note on the table saying that he'd gone for a walk to the nearest park. He closed the door, padding through the town. No doubt the neon green gryffin attracted a lot of eyes.

The food was good, Applejack was a royal class cook after all and there was no way he could complain for having a warm bed and 3 foods a day for his work.

 

As Colt and Duran finished the dragon stood up and helped with the plates “how the hell do ponies do all of this without claws” a question he always had in mind even since a little fire breather.  He was quickly into having the lynx on his neck the warm feeling was just right. After all was done he said to the Apple’s  “Im going to town, need to take this little fellow back”

 

“EEYUP!”,  “Okay”, “Take Care”, “What u say?”

 

Were the answers, they were a lively crew and he couldn’t consider luckier after getting a job with them.

 

Colt got out the house by the front door the sun was going down and the shadows started to come out “I think now we can fly with no problems” he extended his wings knowing that the blend of the twilight sky and his scales will keep him out of the ponies attention “let’s not startle anypony” were his thoughts as he prepared his take of “Hang on tight little one” said to Duran as he took some impulse with his legs and a gust of wind shoot them both to the sky.

 

Ponyville was quiet and calm an absolute contrast with the storm the day before, in a way it was as it have never happened and that was a good thing. As flying over he noticed something “So she is back home”, he said to his feline passenger and flew down to the tower where he found an open window.  “She maybe still asleep” he thought, “I don’t think it should be a problem if we let her rest right Duran” he said as hanging over the edge of the clock tower and entering without making the slightest sound.

 

As Colt entered he walked taking a look over the things on shelf’s and walls, his attention was caught over some pictures he approach them forgetting about his now declared invasion and pick up one frame, a simple picture with a young Iron Wing and some other ponies, they looked happy “Family” Colt whispered with a melancholic face.

As the dragon entered the tower through the window, Duran jumped off his shoulder and looked around. Since the only open window was Iron Wings bed room and Iron Wing wasn´t here, she must have been downstairs. He smelled a nice aroma of coffee that came from downstairs. Come on, she is awake! Follow me! he meowt at Colt, leaving the room and running downstairs. He found Iron Wing on in the living room with a fresh made cup of coffee. So you are awake! he meowt at his owner.

 

"Hey there Duran! Where were you little one?" Iron Wing asked the lynx after seeing him. She had done some work on evaluating the data she had gathered from her mission and some maps were laying on the desk. "So, did you visit somebody?" Iron asked him while stroking his neck. Duran just waited for Colt to come down any moment now.

"As long as I'm with you, it doesn't matter where we go, my love"

Hunter snuggled up to her lover and wondered where they could go for lunch

"I could make us lunch here if you want, sweetie. I'm not really hungry. And also, I hope you don't mind, but I invited my parents to come meet you tomorrow"

The lynx call took him out of his thoughts “so she is awake “. Colt put back the picture where he found it and as folding his wings he followed the lynx again keeping it quiet.

 

“Yes, and I was the one he went after” Colt said after listened to the question from Iron Wing and stepping into the living room from the shadows “How are you doing Iron” he said almost biting his tongue at almost calling her Ms Iron. As he walked into the room the silhouette of Iron Wing started to appear on his sight then he just froze.

 

he notice something was just out of place, she was no using her armor!. He panicked and turned his back on her “I’m sorry I didn’t know…”  "Crap crap crap!, im dead"

She turned around to see the source of the voice speaking to her. "Hi Colt! Nice to see you! By the way... how did you get in here? Did i leave a window open? Have a seat! You want something to drink?" she asked him. She smiled softly at the dragon as he stepped into the light. Then Colt said something strange. He started to apologize for some unknown reason. She looked around and at herself to get a clue what it could be. Then she started to laugh as she noticed that he meant the armor. "Thats not a problem! Not everypony is wearing cloths or an armor. I am used to it and wearing it most of the time, but sometimes i get it off. It is not a problem for me if you see me like that." she said smirking.

 

It was a bit strange for some reason because she never showed herself without her plating armor, but since Colt was a friend, it didn´t matter much. She prepared a second cup and filled it with coffee. "Just sit down and relax, you didn´t do anything wrong..." she talked reassuring to the dragon. Iron Wing was a very proud and strong pony. She had a very trained body and she was not the type of pony who would hide something like that.

Colt turned around and blushed a little “you are looking like a fool son…like a fool” he smiled over his own silliness and accepted her offer taking a place on those comfy couches around the table and watching Iron going for the coffee.

 

“Yes the window was open, I brought Duran back home and we both thought you were asleep… sorry for just crashing and getting in…but the truth is I wanted to see you and talk of yesterday” he said as thinking of what happend at the storm.

"Talk to me about the storm?" Iron asked him. She was a bit surprised. What could the dragon want to tell her? "Well then, you have my full attention." Iron Wing answered and looked at the dragon. Colt looked like it was something important that he wanted to talk about. There could be a lot of reasons why he wanted to talk. Perhaps it was something about her mission yesterday? Well, she wouldn´t able to tell every detail about her mission, after all it were some military decisions that were made up. But perhaps he just wanted to talk to her because of another reason? She surely would find it out.

Colt took a deep stare into Iron Wing violet eyes “There is nothing more important that the life you were blessed with Iron Wing”, Nothing!  he said with a serious look in his face and voice. “Yesterday you jumped right into the wolf mouth”  his mind fixed on remembering how he saw her disappearing beyond the storm clouds “I believe you were thinking that your mission was more important than your well being but you were wrong”  his voice was wrong the tone went to something like ager to sadness and concern his thoughs were fixed on the image of Iron Wing being hit by the bolt and the anguish he felt at that instant “The nature objective or purpose of that assignment was not as valuable as your life and whatever it was you  may have not live another day to accomplish it.” As Colt said all of this his eyes were fixed on Iron Wing’s this was very important to him she was very important to him and even with the strength he witnessed from the blue mare during those times of danger she needed to understand how fragile life could be.

Sky Warden rub his mane with his hoof as he took a look at the catalog, "Well...It sems like I can't help ye with my money". "You have a free room at your house Sky" He pulled his left upper lip, showing some of his teeth for a second, in a weird expression when that thought darted in his mind, "Say...Saphie...I can rent ye that room you used last night...So ye can buy that building and..." He shrugged, "If ye don't mind it, of course".

Saphie smirked and rose her eyebrow when she stared at Sky, "Since when have you been so generous?" she said jokingly, "are you sure about it Sky?". she didn't want to trouble him, but she saw no other alternative than that and living alone didn't sounds so much fun for her.

Sky snorted and looked down, "Nah. I'm still as stingy as always. I said 'rent' didn't I?". He clucked and talked to the mayor with a formal tone "We may take this one Mayor Mare, and would you please?" He moved aside and gestured the mayor to escort them to the building. The mayor escorted them to a one floor building with some space around it. Sky found that It's not too far from his house. The building door opened to a bright and wide empty room with some wide windows in each side of the room. After they done with the building, Sky took Saphie home to move her plants to the new apothecary.

Iron Wing listened carefully to the dragons words and thought about everything. But Colt did not have had a military drill or training, How could he know what was important for a guardian? Or course, her life had a very high value and she should judge everything that importang with care. But it was her duty to obey a command no matter what. On the other side, Colt was right was right about the assignment. "I understand what you want me to understand... and i appreciate it. But i am a military pony... i was trained to follow orders." she tried to explain to him. His stare had some effect on her of course. She had a strange feeling and she started to blush a bit. Colt was perhaps the first one that was worried about her.

 

"I... i think i can promise to be careful next time. I´ll promise to avoid dangerous situations if possible, you have the word of a guardian and friend..." she said and lifted a hoove in the air to show that this was a real promise. After that, she took a sip on her coffee filled cup and continued to polish her armor. The mechanical wing-armor had razor sharp edges like a blade. It was meant for air and ground combat. Everyone who had a good eye for something like that could see that this blades were in current use. That showed that the armor was not just for protection. Iron Wing polished the armor that it nearly shined and she waited that Colt would say something.

His senses were sharp as he look on Iron Wing as she answered he could understand in a way her feelings and attachment for duty but for Colt’s mind and experience the overconfidence over fact that the things that matter are taken as granted was the first reason for a miserable existence.

 

"I understand what you want me to understand... and i appreciate it. But i am a military pony... i was trained to follow orders.

 

“There is no corpse who can fulfill a mission Iron, and a cold lifeless hoof can not write a report” he said as walking closer to her and then he placed a paw gently over her chest.

 

“Each one of those beatings is gone after a moment. And we could be gone just like them, but we spent each day living and sharing that life with those who are important for us” he paused a second and once again dive deep into Iron Wing’s eyes, this time she could see a certain golden glow on Colt’s eyes as a warm caring feeling invade her body

 

“You are important for me, please I beg you. Don’t take that away from me”

"Hmmm...." Iron Wing wanted to say something to the dragon, but she couldn´t find any words for the things she wanted to tell him. She shortly looked onto the ground, thinking about Colts words. The pegasus wasn´t sure if she could do everything that Colt wanted from her. Then the dragon placed a paw over her chest and his eyes started to glow. Iron Wing knew that this was some kind of dragon magic that he used on her. She felt the warm caring feeling that he was sending her and she blushed a bit. She got next to him and looking carefully at him.

 

"I´ll promise, i won´t take anything away from you..." she said to Colt. "Well, i cannot do any fancy magic to express my feelings, so i will just do it the old fashioned way." she said and huged Colt intensely, even lifting the dragon a bit into the air. Indeed, Iron Wing was a very strong pegasus and since the dragon was nearly as big as a fully grown pony, it wasn´t that difficult for her. After some moments of feeling the dragons warmth, she let him go, kissing his cheeck lastly. Iron Wing had never felt a feeling that the dragon had shown her with his magic, and that was the way she wanted to thank him. She got a little gap between her and Colt and waited for his reaction with a grin on her face.

Colt closed his eyes, he believed her words and in Iron Wing in many ways he wasn’t able to get into his head what all was going on but his heart did and that was good enough, she wont be a new pony from one second to another, he didn’t even wanted to change her, all this was meant for her to realized how important her life is for her for everypony and of course for him.

 

Colt joined his forehead to hers just feeling , even as the mare took him up he smiled a bit it was a wonderful moment, one like those long gone in his past.

 

“Thank you Iron Wing” he said as taking his distance from the mare his heart rushed and the warm feeling from the hug still imprint in his scales he blushed since the second she took him within his hooves even if his dark scales cover it for him. “Ever since the library you just have been giving to me and I don’t have much to give back but…” he raised his closed claw to his chest and four streams of silver dust started to flew to it, his eyes glowed again and then he opened it.

 

In his paw a small shield with wings made of crystal appeared just the same her cutie mark “Is just a simple something it doesn’t has any value but you can take it if you like it”

 

He didn’t know what else to do there so much in his head was and heart that it was the best he could out with.  But it was sincere and Colt’s care for her was too.

[Earth Saphina 35]

Sky Warden didn't talk so much when he accompanied Saphina to find a new building. even though she felt a little weird about it, she didn't complain about it. actually, she felt comfortable. it was different from any situation she had experienced along her friends in Canterlot. they usually chat, laugh and talk while they were walking with her. she always felt uncomfortable whenever she's in a silent situation, but the silence that day felt so comfortable. instead of feeling lonely and bored, she felt so alive and safe. she could feel every winds on her mane, every grain of sand of her her hoof, every object on her gaze. even she could have sworn that Skies mane is silver, not grey.

They arrived in Skies house about an hour since they visited the town hall and she planned some ideas about the plants placing while they were at the apothecary.

Sky Warden sniffed the air when he entered his living room. Saphinas plants filled one corner of the room with gentle green and dark brown colour. Everything smelled fresh from the leaves and sweet from the dirt. "If yer apothecary smells like this, I don't know" He laughed and put some pots in Saphies cart outside.

Earth Saphina bit her lips and looked at Sky Warden. she actually didn't think that her plants smells weird or something like that, "W-why? you don't like it? does it smells weird?". "What smell?" she thought as she walked closer to her plants and sniffed the air but didn't smell anything.

Sky Warden laughed again, "Nevermind me.  I even smell water. Well, It's not weird, it smells good actually" he said as he entered the living room and took another pot. Ten years spent in waiting had sharpened his sense in a ridiculous way.
He stopped in the front of Saphina and shrugged, "Help me maybe?".

After Draco left the two ponies he flew back to the tower but saw the two via a window. His heart broke he let a tear fall from one of his silver eyes. "Just goes to show you I'm meant to be alone. Might as well start drinking once more," Draco said as he started to sing slight cheery song but the song itself had depressing lyrics. He landed infront of the tavern. He ordered a hard cider. "That's a kick to the head," Draco said as he payed for his drink.

Speedway settled down beneath a tree. This was going to be a long two days... he picked up a pine cone, and began to toss it into the air only to catch it again. There had to be something for him to do here... a job maybe? But if they found out that he was going, then they'd probably turn him down. Maybe he could practice his flying closer to the ground, after all, when he left here he'd need to earn money through racing.

 

Clutching the pine cone in one hoof, Speedway set off, sticking low to the ground. The winds from above had no effect on him down here, and he began to increase speed grateful for the low number of people walking the streets.

Saphina smiled when she heard Sky laughed. it was the first time she heard him laugh after ten years. she giggled and lifted some plants with her magic.
"It will smells better after I concoct them. I guess you will enjoy some aroma therapy since you have a good nose right there" she said jokingly as she patted Skys nose.

Sky blushed a little when Saphie patted his nose and he shook his head to hide it. Nopony had touched his nose for a long time and it had been a little too sensitive to touch, "Even my grandpa have never touched my nose" He thought as he bit the inner part of his cheek so Saphie couldn't find him blushing.

He put the last plant on the cart and quickly pulled it along the street, leaving Saphie behind to avoid her from noticing his red face.
