"Oh.  So how long are you in Ponyville?  Or do you just stay here until you get transferred elsewhere?"  Dusk was slightly getting annoyed at the lack of an answer from the door.  "Hey, instead of standing here, do you wanna go sit down on the grass?  I didn't take the train here, so I'm kinda tired..."  I may have flown, but it was still quite tiring as I needed to hurry to arrive before being noticed by anypony...

"Well I'm here till they tell me elsewhere. Sure lets just relax till they either decide to come to the door or come home."  Dawn laid down belly up in the cool shade of a nearby tree."You coming over here or what?" She patted the ground next to her then put her hooves behind her head to act as a pillow.

It was a brand new day for Felix Steamheart, this commemorated the first year of his self studies on the properties of steam, the properties of metals, and aerodynamics. His project: create a working glider, using steam, to allow earth ponies to fly. He still had a good four year of studying before he could really start trying, but this was his first big moment in his carrier. Being that he had studied, with almost no breaks for 364 days, this would be his first real, full day off. This was his opportunity to really get out in Ponyville and meet new ponies. This day was going to be good, it had to. 

 

With a deep breath of outside air Felix took a hardy breath and trotted out the door. With a quick stretch and snap of the neck, he was off. Where to go, where to go... Nobody knows, and neither did Felix, he simply trotted off a random direction through Ponyville. Never sure of his goal, window shopping, meeting new ponies, whatever it was he had a look in his eyes, the look of a mission... Even if the mission may have been to find a mission. 

 

It was only then Felix began to think to himself, "Hmmm... Well, I've seen lots of nice little shops, trinkets and fruits... lots of ponies... maybe, maybe I should say hi, after all, I haven't seen anyone but my friends and family for a whole year now, but who to talk to? So many faces, some of them look really friendly, and well, others I can say now I better avoid. Oh bother, what to do?"

 

Lost in his pondering the poor pony didn't notice he had begun to walk in circles, right there, in the middle of the street. No conscience effort was made to address this until some stray pony bumped passed him, at which point he choked to say, "excuse me," however in his bewilderment nothing actually came out of his mouth. So far wasn't a great start, but that didn't mean much, "of course," thought Felix, "this can still be a splendorous day!"

 

With nothing but a sense of extreme optimism Felix resumed his perusing. What could he do but explore Ponyville. Maybe if he found another inventor's shop they could talk, but no luck yet.  It was at this point where, in frustration, he paced slowly to the nearest wall and banged his head, perhaps even more strange, softly. By sheer coincidence his location was mere feet away from the door of which stood Dusk moments ago.

Colt entered the town from the road that leads to Sweet Apple Acres covering was usual his face waling on his four legs and using his wings as a coat. He was close to the tower and soon he was in front of it, just as he was in the vicinity he noticed something “unusual” and his eyes as his attention was taken by two ponies walking to the little garden in front of the tower.

 

“That one is not a usual one” he thought as centering his attention onto the Unicorn with the white and blue mane.

 

He walk to the door of the tower keeping an eye on the winged pony with the armor remnants. It was totally off. The dragon kept his guard up was gently pulling the chain side to the door ringing a bell inside the house.

 

“What do someone like him wants here? ” he ask to himself wating for Iron to answer

Speaking of meeting new ponies, let me introduce myself, my name is Felix Steamheart, I am an inventor set out to make flying reality for earth ponies like myself, without the use of magic! I'm currently doing study thanks to a fine philanthropony  I met a few years back. It's a pleasure to make your acquaintance!"

I'm being watched... I can feel it.  It isn't that strange pony though... The dragon?  Oh, I didn't even notice him until now...  Dusk slowly stood on all fours carefully watching the dragon from the corner of his eye.  "I'm more focused on the dragon that I think is watching me..."  He doesn't know me does he? News of that incident in the last town couldn't have gotten this far yet... I didn't see any dragons there either.  He was now feeling tense and nervous.

"Oh, yeah I don't know many ponies who like her. You want to know about me? Well there's not much to say, I have 3 brothers, My mother is a doctor, I'm a field medic. I grew up in Canterlot. Uhh I just got transferred to here today."

hunter giggled and then supported some of the boxes so they wouldnt fall out of the cart. they reached hunter and rain's house and began to unload the cart, placing the boxes inside

Saphina entered her apothecary and started boiling some waters. she strode along some tables and took some herbs and put them in the cauldron. she concoct the same medicine she gave Sky yesterday. for cough, cold and headache. she dried her potion and made some medicines in sachets form. she actually already had some, but she thought that she would need some more.

That activity was enough to keep her busy. she read her book while she was waiting for the boiling water. even though she remembered many concoctions as if she remembered the back of her hoof, she liked reading that book. she was in a research to make a new medicine to heal rheumatism, and she was very close, but she still needed something from that book.

Iron Wing heared that somepony knocked on the door of her watchtower. Her metallic hoove steps could be heared since she was wearing the heavy combat armor. She went to the main door and opened it, looking at 2 ponies and Colt who stood in front of the door. One pony had a dark blue coat with a bit of orange and a sun rising as a cutie mark, the other a unicorn wearing some very old armor that seemed not really fitting. They seemed new in Ponyville... maybe they just wanted to somepony to show them the way to their destination? "Hello there strangers. Are you lost or something like that? You are standing before the southern watchtower of Ponyville and i am the commanding pony here. My name is Iron Wing Celes Grayhoove. State your business, perhaps i can help you." she said while observing the ponies with judging eyes. Of course she wanted to talk to Colt too, but it seemed rude to favor him before the ponies who had knocked on her door first. She made a sign to him to wait just a bit.

 

Blazing Storm looked behind Draco who just left some time ago through the window. After that somepony knocked on the door and Iron Wing went to the door to see who it was. Since she had finished breakfast, she did the same as Draco, jumping out of the window and flying down. Colt was standing there, waiting for Iron Wing it seemed. She went to him and watched everything. "Hello there Colt, how are ya? Had nice dreams?" she asked him jokingly. "Seems Iron Wing has unexpected visitors. Could be interesting around here in the future." she said while grinning. She waited for the dragon to response, but she knew that she had to go soon to the apothecary.

"Well that's another box done," Angel said, going over to her writing box.  She pulled out a notebook and looked at the title she had written on the front cover.  The Darkest Sunset 2: The Rising Moon.  Angel brought the notebook outside and sat on the porch.  She glanced around before opening to the last page she had written on and began to write.

For just about an hour they continued unpacking boxes and putting the things away till there were only a few boxes labeled "DJ things" and "Electronics". Rain opened the electronics box first and pulled out a gaming console. "Do you play video games hunter?" He put the console next to the T.V and proceeded to his DJ equipment. "And is there a place for all this?"

Draco was in the air flying to Canterlot once more. Acouple hours later he arrived as he looked at the address for the package. "Hmm I'm right on time now to find this address," he muttered to himself "Oh here it is," He walked up to the door and knocked on it "Hello I'm Draco O'mally of O'mally services," Draco said with a professional tone. "I'll need you to sign this," he said as he pulled out a notepad from his delivery bag.

Colt bow his head a little, a polite way to address he got from his parents , and greet the fiery mare. “Good morning Blazing. Sweet dreams?... well no nightmare that’s for sure but you know…I was thinking about what you say yesterday… and all of that”  he answer but all of the time his attention look like in other place.

 

In two places to say the truth the dragon heart was accelerated to see those violet eyes but now the possible threat to her from the “unlikely one” was his #1 priority

 

“Unexpected that’s for sure” the draon said looking back to the mare but the gold in his eyes was burning and most likely that Blazing could notice, “Do you know who they are Blazing?” the dragon asked to the pegasus.

Dawn stood at attention when Iron wing mentioned she was the commanding pony in town. "I'm sorry ma'am we didn't know this was your residence. I am Dawn Blazer and I was sent here to look after any soldiers in need of medical attention. We came here to find out where we will be staying while on duty here as we were not told during our briefing."

 

 

Iron Wing noticed that this pony had already been through a military training, she just had the charisma. "So you are a medical pony that was send here to assist soldiers? Except me, there are not much military ponies around Ponyville, but medical help is always needed. Ponyville is a little but lively town and it happens very much stuff around here. I don´t know exactly if the hospital here is that busy, but recently i have been assigned to dangerous recon and scouting missions. Since the last week i engage enemy forces and patrols frequently and of course sometimes i get injured." she explained to the medic pony. "If you are ready to be stationed here you will be part of the 7th frontline defense battalion and i shall welcome you. There are rooms within this tower since i built it to host up to 5 guardians. If you are ready for a duty within the 7th FDB, just tell me Dawn Blazer." she said to her.

Iron Wing looked with judging eyes upon the pony with the armor who still didn´t tell her his name. The armor looked old, damaged and unfitting. The "nothing-important-guard-stuff" sounded like this pony had guarded objects or buildings. Also the armor had wing cutouts but the pony who was wearing it not. With careful verdicting eyes she looked at the pony and thought about everything for a minute. "This isn´t your armor is it?" she asked straight. "Perhaps you got it from a family member? Hmm..." a pony with an unfitting armor wouldn´t be much of a help in duty. "I am sure we can change the armor for you that it would fit your body shape. The offer for you is nearly the same as for Dawn Blazer. You can join the 7th FDB and live within this tower, but i´ll instruct you with your duties since you seem to lack experience on scouting and patroling duties. Of course this job ensures for you catering, lodging and payment. If you want that, just tell me, nameless one." she explained to the pony who hadn´t introduced himself until now.

 

After the instuction she made a sign for Colt that he could come in the tower through the front door or via the landing platform which still was open.

 

Blazing Storm

"You thought about everything? Ya sure? You were a bit... absence yesterday." she said with a grin on her face. Then the dragon asked her if she knew the ponies. She shook her head. "Na, never seen them before. But i wonder how they taste like..." she said laughing a bit. She noticed that Colt was some sort of tense toward the new ponies. "Well, nothing i would worry about i think." she said while her face got a lot more serious than usual. "I think Iron can judge very well if she wants to have them near her or not. Don´t get too stressed over it, i am sure she can handle everything just fine." she whispered to the dragon. After that she put on her smile face again. "Well, i have to go now! See ya soon!" she said and lifted off, flying to the apothecary.

 

After a short while she arrived at the building Earth Saphina had told her. Luckily it was open already and Blazing entered it. She smelled the ingredients, plants and herbs with joy. She liked the flavour of the air she inhaled. "Hello there..." she said with a soft undisturbing voice. "... i need some things, hope somepony is here already..." she said while waiting in front of the counter.

He had a grey coat and a white mane, looking strong even for his age. He was wearing small glasses which made him looke wise and strict. He observed Draco and started to smile a bit. "Let me guess... a package from Blazing Storm?" he asked gently. "And you are the new delivery service? What did she do to the one before? Did she eat him?" he said, slowly laughing. He sighed and signed on the notepad. He took the package. "Wait son, i have something for you..." he said and came back with another package. It was smaller but it smelled good, also he had some money he gave to Draco. "Please deliver this package back to Blaze with greetings from her parents, Richard Strongheart and Trin Lighthoove." the stallion told him.

“Yeah I think you are right, she is Iron Wing after all ” he kept the grin but this time it was not authentic, there was something off about the unicorn and he wont take him for granted until knowing that he was not threat to Iron Wing or anypony else on town

 

He saw Blazing flying up and wish her a good day. Colt then turned arround and catch Iron telling him to come inside, a small blush mae an aperance as he looke into those violet eyes while Iron sign him to go up to tower platform.

 

The dragon nodded with head and eyes and walk around the corner of the tower, still unsecure of his effect on other ponies he made sure no pony could see him then opened his wings and with a jump and two quick flaps he was entering the tower and greeting Duran.

 

“Let’s go down little fellow, there is someone I want to keep an eye on” he froze for a seccond and detected the double sence implitcations on that one "Not iron I mean yes Iron but not that way... crap forguet it" said as going down the stairs. He flapped once more and took sit on a particular spot where he could see the low entrance and the ponies talking over there.

As Speedway reached Ponyville, he also reached a conclusion. He should practice his aggressive personality while he was here. Besides... it would make a change from being weak all the time, from being too nervous to even talk, let alone make friends.

 

As he walked through the town, pushing past other ponies, he noticed the tower again. Best way to make an impression? Hassle the local police!

 

Except... she'd seen what he was really like... she'd know that this was just an act...

 

Nah. This town was full of ponies, she wouldn't remember him.

 

He approached the tower, noticing another group of ponies gathered outside.

 

Uh oh... there were too many... but it was too late. He couldn't back out now, and so he continued towards Iron Wing.

After a long period of silence, Felix still hadn't worked out what to say, and letting his curiosity get the better of him, and took a look inside the box. Unsure who he was actually asking, Felix blurted aloud, "So, what is all this stuff about, and why is it in a box? For that matter whose box is it?" Mindlessly, he began to rummage through the box, and while he meant no harm never had it crossed his head that this stuff was not his to rummage through. 

 

It was after he paused for a period of ten seconds that he rocketed a good five feet backwards with a guilty look on his face, "OhmygoshimsosorryInevermeanttotouchanything!" While almost unaudible, the tone itself seemed to come up to one's face and declare boldly, "I am very sorry." Perhaps an overreaction, though that was the thing bullies used to beat him up for, and as such he had a brief rush of bad memories.

"You've got it, but that'll be 80 bits for the delivery," Draco said as he used his ventriliquism. He placed the new package into his delivery bag after he placed his two signature talismans onto the new package which shrunk it and made it highly resistant to high impacts. "Well I'll be going to deliver this package," Draco said as he flew into the air.

Iron Wing noticed that this pony had already been through a military training, she just had the charisma. "So you are a medical pony that was send here to assist soldiers? Except me, there are not much military ponies around Ponyville, but medical help is always needed. Ponyville is a little but lively town and it happens very much stuff around here. I don´t know exactly if the hospital here is that busy, but recently i have been assigned to dangerous recon and scouting missions. Since the last week i engage enemy forces and patrols frequently and of course sometimes i get injured." she explained to the medic pony. "If you are ready to be stationed here you will be part of the 7th frontline defense battalion and i shall welcome you. There are rooms within this tower since i built it to host up to 5 guardians. If you are ready for a duty within the 7th FDB, just tell me Dawn Blazer." she said to her.

" I am ready ma'am and thank you. I'll see to anypony that gets sick or hurt, but you and Dusk if he chooses to accept your offer will be my main concern." She picked up  her duffel-bag and walked into the tower. She turned to Spirit and raised her eyebrow wondering if he was gonna do it.

For just about an hour they continued unpacking boxes and putting the things away till there were only a few boxes labeled "DJ things" and "Electronics". Rain opened the electronics box first and pulled out a gaming console. "Do you play video games hunter?" He put the console next to the T.V and proceeded to his DJ equipment. "And is there a place for all this?"

Hunter smiled

"i tend to be quite the gamer at times. that stuff can go into the spare room" finally all the boxes were unpacked

"hey sweetie, all this moving has made me tired, why dont we have a lay down?"

she gave him a sultry wink to let him know what she meant
