Sky Warden snorted and flew closer to the pegasus. He didn't want to make Saphie waited for him for a long time. The pegasus seemed struggling with the wind, so he decided to take him to the ground, "It's alright. Come with me to the ground and don't try to resist" He grabbed the pegasus foreleg and pulled him slowly to the ground. "What on Equestria happened to yer wings?".

Speedway shied back, hiding them from view behind his back.

 

"Uh! N... nothing! Thanks... thanks for helping me. That was a strong wind up there..." as if in an afterthought, he quietly added, "looks like flying is out of the window..." he examined the two who stood in front of him. "Umm... I'll just not fly while I'm here. Sorry for wasting your time."

"Meh. No problem. Ye sure ye are okay? I think ye need to take it to the hospital. They seems unready to catch the wind" Sky rose an eyebrow as he tilted his head and looked at the wings. He glanced around and found that Saphina stood on his side, and from her face, she clearly worried about them. "Ah Saphie. I asked you to wait there didn't I?" He smiled at the mare.

Saphina sighed in relief when she saw the two pegasus landed safely on the ground. she gave Sky her dirty-child look "Why? I wanted to make sure that you didn't do anything stupid again". she looked at the strangers wings "Sky is right. you need to take it to the hospital. maybe they can help".

Duran was wandering the path into the direction of the Sweet Apple Acres as he got sight of the barn. Surely the big dragon would be around here somewhere. Agile and quick he jumped up and walked on the top of a fence, balancing like it was nothing. He loved to be a cat and could never imagine something else. He jumped off the fence after reaching the main entrance to the Apple Acres and looked around. Sure, a lynx was a very rare kind of cat and Fluttershy would hunt him if she got sight of him, but until now he could hide himself good enough. He had to grin a bit. It was the same like Pinky Pie and his owner. Iron Wing didn´t like the ponies that rushed into the scene and tried to be your friend just like that. But now Duran wanted to find the dragon. After all, his owner Iron Wing was sleeping, so nothing much to do for him. Perhaps the dragon knew a spell to communicate with him? Duran didn´t know much about dragons, just that they liked to eat a cat like him for breakfast. But Colt was another case, he was special somehow. He sniffed at the air around this place and got the scent of the dragon. So he is in the barn, huh? He thought, getting closer to the building.

Speedway paled at the idea of going to the hospital, and backed away in fear. "N... No!" he stammered, "It's okay... there's no need to waste any more time on me... they've always been like that. It at least, since I was just a colt." he stepped back a bit more. "I'll leave you in peace now. I'll just... walk from now on."

Colt saw the lynx coming his way  his first reaction was fear but the slow and easy step of the little fellow swept that away, after all if Iron Wing was in danger the little one wont be looking for him and not with lack of urgency.

 

“Hey there little one” Colt said as kneeing on the ground and expending his paw for him to climb.

 

Duran hopped on his paw and Colt caress his head gently as standing up. “I would say your officer on command gave you a free afternoon”

 

“Hey boss can we have a guest for diner?”  the dragon asked Applejack

 

“That little sugar bit can always have a spot on ma table” she answered

 

There was still some free time before eating and the dragon soot on the Apple’s porch while playing with the links with his tail, as Duran jumped up and down his shoulders knees claws and head trying to catch it.

Duran was playing with the dragons tail for some time and it was fun that a dragon had the time to play with him a bit. After a short while he stoped playing with the tail and sat next to Colt, looking at him vivid. So, what it you doing here in Ponyville? Duran thought while meowing. Indeed, he tried to communicate with the scaled one. But surely Duran didn´t expect the Dragon to really understand him. You know, my owner likes you very much. I hope you response to that honestly. he continued meowing. Duran thought for some moments. What did he even try? A lynx tries to talk to a dragon... It was funny and strange, and Duran wished for a chance that the dragon would get an idea what he tried to do. He jumped up to the shoulders of the dragon, sitting down and looking him into his beastly eyes. He layd a paw on Colts muzzle. You are a friend. I hope you know this word. A friend, for Iron Wing and for me. He just waited for the dragon to respond in any possible way.

 

After some hours, Iron Wing woke up because somepony knocked on the door of the watch tower. She was just tired and wanted to sleep. She seriously thought about throwing a pillow out of the window to scare away the pony that knocked on her door. But she decided to walk down the stairs and to open it instead. As she opened it she looked at a courier that was holding her armor. It was repaired and like knew. The courier had problems to carry it, he was even using a dolly, and he still had problems with holding it in it´s place. "A delivery for Iron Wing?" the courier asked friendly. "Yes, that is me. Thank you very much for bringing the armor here..." she said and yawned, getting a hoove on the armor. She lifted the huge and heavy armor like it was nothing. Of course, she was a strong pony, even in injured state. She thanked the courier anew and went inside. She set up some coffee and went upside again to sleep until the coffee was done. "I wonder what Colt is doing... and where the heck is my lynx?" she asked herself shortly before falling asleep again.

Earth Saphina stood awkwardly as she watched the strange pegasus walked away. she didn't say a word until she was sure that the pegasus couldn't hear them. "Don't you think that he acts a bit strange Sky?" she whispered to Sky. "Do you know who is that pegasus?" she turned her face to Sky Warden.

Sky Warden snorted and walked towards the townhall, "Dunno. A newcomer maybe. I haven't seen him before...Let him go. He has his own reason why he acts like that, and we can't force him. If he wanted to tell us, he would have". He had never enjoyed a walk as much as he did that morning. He enjoyed flying much more than walking, but that morning felt so different, "So...What kind of building do ye want for yer apotechary?".

When the lynx stoped playing with his tail Colt sensed something coming for the little fellow. 

 

So, what ** you doing here ** *******?

 

If he was really getting this right? the little feline was trying to tell him something and he was almost able to get it. The dragon set his eyes on the mountain at the east crowned with a castle “I am waiting for someone and something to happen”  the words just came out of his mouth he was not intended to say a thing it just happened and it surprised the dragon as much as the lynx..

 

You know, my owner ***** you **** much. I hope you ********* to that honestly.

 

Colt shook his head confused “Yes I know her, don’t you remember that…?” he paused for a second “Are you not here because of that?” he felt kind of weird talking to Duran and confused after all he has never spoken with animals before. 

 

 

You are * friend. I hope you know this ****. A friend, for Iron Wing and for me.

 

His eyes widened and his voice mute he wasn’t able to get that, not the message but the meaning, he was considered a friend, no brother or son, partner or associate, a friend. The golden reptiles of the dragon eyes went to a sad empty stare looking back at Duran and once again words flowed out of Colt’s mouth with no intention from him “I just hope you won’t get burn for that” he said as taking his sight away from the lynx.

 

“Time to eat you too, come on in or it will get cold.” Applejack said from inside the house just in time to save Colt from saying more.

 

 

“Let’s go, I’ll take you home after that.” said the dragon as gently scratching the lynx neck while he was on his shoulder

She deeply kissed Rain as a greeting for her hard working colt friend. She gave I'm a cuddle before saying

"What would you like for lunch? "

Noticing he must be hungry

"Oh perfect am I? You must have me confused with somepony else the only perfect one here is you." He kissed her back just as deeply."Well what ever is fine, I kinda had a big breakfast with Sky. But what ever you want is fine, actually I'll take you out to eat. Where do you wanna go?"

As Angel reached a small cottage near the Everfree forest, a yellow pegasus looked up from a group of animals, looking slightly distressed.  When she saw the bunny in Angel's hooves she gasped and ran over.

"Angel!" the pegasus cried.

How does she know my name?  "Er...yes.  I-is this your bunny?"

The pegasus snatched the bunny from Angels front legs and hugged it tightly, twirling in the air.  "Oh, Angel!  I've never been so happy to see you!"

"Uhm...thanks?"

The pegasus looked at Angel Feather.  "Thank you so much for finding my Angel!  I had no idea what happened to him!"

Draco flew over head slowly. His stomach rumbled as he forgot to ate all day. He would have stayed at Sweet Apple Acres and asked for a bite but it seemed alittle rude. He noticed another one of his customers the yellow pegasus. He also noticed a grey unicorn there. "Hey yo ponies how are you today?" Draco asked as he landed across the them.

Angel blushed, embarrassed.  "Oh...uhm.  I was just...returning a...bunny..." Angel said.  A bunny with my name.

The yellow pegasus didn't say anything.  She seemed to have suddenly become shy.  A bit like Angel herself.  The pegasus cuddled the bunny to her tigher, even as if tried to get out of her grip.

Draco looked at the bunny "Hello to you too Angel hoped you liked the finest carrots that I delivered to you," Draco said with a smile at the bunny," He looked at the unicorn "Oh my how rude of me Draco O'mally is my name being a courier is my game," he said once more. "Oh come on Fluttershy no need to be shy around me," Draco said with a joking smile in his muzzle.

Earth Saphina winced when she realized that she hadn't planned about that yet, "I uhm...I think it will be a good idea to check any available building first...Oh here we are". they arrived in the front of a round and tall building in the center of the town. she stopped and gestured Sky to enter first.

Sky Warden entered the town hall and observed the room to find the mayor. He introduced Saphina to Mayor Mare and told her that they looked for any available building in Ponyville. The mayor showed many available houses. Most of them were regular houses like Sky Wardens, and some of them were too small or not fit for an apothecary. They found a good tall building with large windows which could support the light for Saphinas plants, but it just made of one bathroom and a wide main room.
"What do ye think? Ye can rent this building for the apothecary and buy a separate house" He turned his face to her and rose his eyebrows.

Saphina looked at the building catalog carefully. she couldn't afford two buildings and regretted that she didn't plan for it earlier. she skimmed the catalog again. another buildings were too small or not fit for her apothecary, "That tall building seems perfect, but I can't afford another house" she said, still looking at the catalog.

Sky Warden rub his mane with his hoof as he took a look at the catalog, "Well...It sems like I can't help ye with my money". "You have a free room at your house Sky" He pulled his left upper lip, showing some of his teeth for a second, in a weird expression when that thought darted in his mind, "Say...Saphie...I can rent ye that room you used last night...So ye can buy that building and..." He shrugged, "If ye don't mind it, of course".

Angel blushed.  "Oh.  I-I'm Angel Feather," Angel snuck a glance at the bunny.  The pegasus smiled at that.  Then she smiled at Draco.  "I should get Angel Bunny back.  The other animals have been so worried," she said softly, flying off with the bunny.  Angel watched the pegasus go.

Duran nodded with a satisfied looking face and let the dragon scretch his neck gently. He started to purr a bit and couldn´t wait to get a big bite of something tasty. It didn´t take long and both of them had a decent meal on the Sweet Apple Acres farm with it´s owner. It was very good and after some delicious snacks, Duran could not eat more than he had already. He watched the dragon with his meal and couldn´t resist to grin a bit. It was his first time watching a dragon to eat and it was a sensation on it´s own. After the meal he jumped on Colts neck and laid down, stretching his body to full extrent. Duran looked more like a scarf now, warming the neck of the dragon with his fluffy fur and waiting until the dragon decided to get him home.

 

Iron Wing finally woke up as she sniffed the aroma of coffee. She got out of her warm bed and went downstairs. Iron had already recovered most of her strengh and power and the injuries didn´t hurt that bad anymore. The doctor had done an excelent work and Iron Wing was sure to recover to the fullest within the next day. She grabbed a cup and filled it with coffee. The lynx had already left for some freetime she guessed. The organizer was found fast by her and she was looking if there were any more missions or building jobs she had to do.
