I've seen a lot about season three but nothing about what you guys(and girls) think about it. SO post your heart out! The good the bad the ugly, everything you feel about season 3.

So far? nothing that bad. sombre was a little generic. pinkie wasm well pinkie. and the CMC did a song that wasnt a pile of garbage. so nothings changed that much for me. other than i now see how this weekly episode thing can kill you with anticipation.

I'm ultra happy with the first 4 episodes of season 3.  They all were fantastic.  I love how the CMC actually began showing growth, and had a very awesome song.  The plethora of Pinkies was a perfect episode.  Sombra was an amazing villain, that actually was a rather vicious fellow, and he actually died.  So this season is going pretty darn well so far.

Did anyone else see scootaloo flying during the bab seed episode. she was doing it when they were waiting for the train the first time. It might have just been fluttering but I dunno.

The two part opener was a huge disappointment with the most lackluster villain introduced so far, he had great potential but the way he was presented was just sad. It was still decent despite its flaws and I know that it is tough to top the Discord two parter but they still could have done a bit better. The Pinkie Pie episodes was hilarious but then again pretty much all the Pinkie Pie episodes are but we also got the added treat of seeing a little more serious and emotional side to Pinkie Pie as well. Bad Seed pretty much sums up how I think the Griffon Brush Off episode from season 1 should have ended, yes Gilda acted like a jerk but so did Pinkie Pie yet Gilda ended up looking like the bad guy in all this. And how dare Twilight call her a "false friend" she didn't even know her, if anyone had the right to say that it was Rainbow Dash.

Season three has been pretty good.  The first two episodes were a little underwhelming, but overall, enjoyable.  King Sombra really didn't do much sadly.  I wish they could have pulled him off as a character that I could really come to enjoy, even as a villain.  In the same sense as Discord, but he was too underdeveloped to come close to that.  Despite its flaws, the Crystal Empire was still a good episode, and worth a second watch.  Too Many Pinkie Pies is one of my favorite episodes of the series so far.  It was funny and enjoyable.   One Bad Apple was a great episode with a great message.  Babs Seed was a wonderfully done character, complete with a wonderful accent.  The CMC also had a great song, props to the writers for that one.  Overall, very good.

I love Season 3 so far. I can't say if there is a best episode than others, but I know I definitely love it. And I'm sure I'm not gonna stop loving it.  :D

I have no problems with season three so far, wouldn't say that it's my favorite, but it's still a pretty good season....course we still have more episodes ahead of us and that may cause me to change my answer.

Check me out! No, seriously, check me out.

I've LOVED the season so far! Sure, The Crystal Empire parts 1 & 2 weren't quite as good as The Return of Harmony parts 1 & 2, but I thought they were very good in their own right. What I am guessing will happen is the season finale will involve Sombra and the crystal ponies again, because we really do need to see more of both.

Too Many Pinkie Pies was hilarious, and definitely high on my list of favorite Pinkie episodes.

One Bad Apple is probably my favorite CMC episode, because I really loved both the song and Babs Seed.

The brief synopses of the rest of the episodes look very promising, and if the episodes continue to wow me like they have so far, this may just be the best season yet.

I have enjoyed all of season 3 so far, and can't wait for more!

The crystal empire episodes were awesome, wish King Sombra could have had some more screen time though.

I liked the Pinkie episode and how Pinkie made it through because she cared for her friends much more then wanting to have fun. Lastly 'One Bad Apple' was one of my favorite episodes. It had an amazing life message about bullying, and the song was adorable!

So far Season 3 has become very enjoyable. I even decided that the Pinkie Pie episode was by far my most favorite of the season already~! But I know we still have a long way to go, so I cannot wait to see what's next for this awesome season. :D

So far, I don't like it as much as the first 2 seasons, but it's not bad.

I thought the season 3 premiere was good, but they could have developed Sombra's character more and had more interaction between him and the mane 6.

Welp, here goes. *Puts on critic glasses*

As to the premiere, Sombra was really underdeveloped. Maybe he wasn't really even underdeveloped, more that the rest of the villains have just been developed so much more. So I've come to expect a higher level of quality amongst the antagonists of the show. Also, the rest of the mane 6 did absolutely nothing of any sort during the premiere. They were really there just so that they could have some screen time. Not because they had anything useful to do. Also, I don't like Spike becoming a main character. If someone is a supporting character for 52 episodes, I think they should stay that way.

Too Many Pinkie Pies: I didn't like how predictable this episode was. It was cute, it was funny, but Pinkie Pie's clones were mindless drones which, in my opinion, made the episode alot less interesting. Also, alot of Pinkie's humor seemed forced in this episode.

One Bad Apple: Ouch. Major bummer for me. Babs Seed was a poor character in my opinion and the episode was super generic. The best part was the song and that says ALOT. There were some moments in there that had chances for greatness, and were pretty good too but just never capitalized on.

The next episode will probably be really good, though. I really hope so and am definitely looking forward to it.

If there's one thing that I do like alot about this season, it's the production. The animation is phenomenal, the voice acting superb, and everything just seemed really well done.

So far the season has been wonderful for me. I loved every episode so far, each one better than the one before. To me I think they have done a great job with the new season so far. It's really pulling in great right now. :)

The Crystal Empire: Really good. For a while, it eclipsed A Canterlot Wedding as the best two-parter, but it's now second. The characters were really good, and I loved Twilight's development in both her personality and skills in her magic. Its plot was extremely solid and was very well-paced, but if there's one criticism of it, it's definitely King Sombra's lack of development. He was a plot device, but it doesn't mean he was well-developed. He was just there and didn't do much. The best scene was easily Twilight's vision of her greatest fear for that moment (failing Celestia's test). And contrasting Velvet, the fact Spike played a crucial role in the two-parter really enhanced himself as a character. He's been severely underused, and the way Twilight cared and trusted him to handle the Crystal Heart proved how solid their dynamic is.

Too Many Pinkie Pies: Classic Pinkie Pie, and is Dave Polsky's best episode (was okay with Feeling Pinkie Keen [but the friendship moral at the end made me rather uncomfortable]; haven't seen Over the Barrel). Had the slapstick of Pinkie Pie, plus the thorough care and determination to surviving Twilight's test (whereas the clones had the characterization of new houses: little to none). The gags were completely hilarious, especially the blow-up hand and especially G3!Pinkie-clone. But the paint drying scene really showed part of Pinkie's personality that isn't explored much in the canon: commitment.

One Bad Apple: One of the best CMC episodes, behind The Cutie Mark Chronicles and ahead of Ponyville Confidential. The song was extremely phenomenal, easily best season three song so far. But for what happened in the episode, I really enjoyed the foreshadowing of Babs's past. I didn't notice it at first until I read a comment on EQD mentioning Babs hiding one of her blank flanks with her stubby tail in the preview, which made sense. The fact that Babs, under peer pressure, joined Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon explores one part of bullying: the yearn to escape your rough home and join a side, good or bad, to fit in. It also explained how getting back at a bully is not always the best idea, especially since doing so tends to cause worse trouble than they're worth. The one thing I would critique on is the pacing in the middle (sometimes going a bit too fast), but it's miniscule enough to ignore.

Let's keep it going with Magic Duel! I'm especially loving how evil (and maybe possessed?) Trixie looks in the previews. :D
