Bright Spark lifted his fedora. It appeared that he was nervous, and how could you blame him? It wasnt the dinner, nor the food she had planned. But it was instead what he was planning. It felt a little rushed, even to him, yet he felt like he had given it enough time. He was going to ask of something, that WOULD change his life.

Rose heard somepony knocking at the door. She brushed her emerald mane out of her eyes impatiently (Yes, she had taken the time to clean up for this dinner), and made her way to the door. Opening the door, she smiled. He was fidgeting, playing with his fedora again... 

 

"Spark..."

Star Flew up from the ground next to Somber and Smiled."We should go flying together more often." She smiled.

 

After a few minutes of flying Star and Somber arrived at Roses Doorstep where Spark stood next to Rose. "Hey you guys...Are we early or late ?" She giggled.

(OOC: You assumed correctly. After all, she made the dinner, all from exotic, home-grown, fresh ingredients. Why should she have to take them somewhere else?)

 

Rose smiled at Star and Somber, who had just arrived. "You're a bit early, but you can help me finish the cooking if you like," Rose said, inviting them inside, and closing the door behind all of them. She wished she'd have gotten a little alone time with Spark, but she wasn't going to complain. Star and Somber were always welcome. "This dish is a favourite in Vanhoover. I think you'll like it."

[Marathon 562]

As Stacy made her way through Ponyville to get to Roses place she began to feel a nagging feeling in the back of her head. She ignored it for a little bit but it eventually it got the better of her. When she got to Roses she watched as Somber and Star went into her home. Stacy made it half way to the door before she stopped in her tracks. The feeling in the back of her head told her not go and knock, but she pushed herself...

She made it to the door, her body filled with adrenalin as she lifted her hoof but stopped. Should she knock? Yes! She had to make things right! Her hoof came down on the door two times signaling her arrival. Not even a second after she had, Stacy panicked and ran out of sight of the door. SHe couldnt go to the dinner, it was to much for her to handle. She didnt want to break down in the middle of it. Instead she was going to lie to hop about it, about going, about everything. Once she reached a good distance she hid in the shadows and watched to see if she could catch a glimpse of Rose.

Rose paused on their way back into kitchen, where a large meal was being prepared. Out the back door, on the moss-covered patio, was a table set up, with enough room for everypony. "I think somepony else is here," she said to the group, excusing herself to answer the door.  

 

She stood in the open doorway, looking around, confused. Nopony was out there. She scanned the garden, and didn't see anypony perusing its contents, as often happened with visitors. She was about to go back in when her ears flicked. The garden was whispering... of a certain presence... But no... That couldn't be right. She had been told that she had traveled far, far away... 

 

Wiping away a single tear, Rose went back inside to finish preparations on the dinner without a backward glance.

[Marathon 562]

Stacy watched as the door opened at he saw Rose. Tears welled up in her eyes as she saw her ears flicker, but then her face turned to disbelieve. She then went back in and closed the door. Stacy should have ran up to her but she couldnt. Not after what she did almost a week ago. After a what seemed like forever she was able to move. She began to go to a salad shop down town, but gave the hut one last glance as she did. After that she would go back to Hops house, where she moved in a few days ago, and do nothing for a while. Thinking about all the good memories she had with Rose.

She said, As Rose trotted back through the door. "Somber is feeling much much better, so we go out flying every couple of nights when the sun sets." She smiled. Rose smiled. They were so sweet together... She thought she'd never seen a more perfect couple. 

 

Nodding, she said, "Well, it's almost done, but..." She gave Star a brief list of instructions... And set herself about to finishing up...

 

In no time, the table out back was set for everypony. "Is everypony here? Or do we need to wait?"

Scamps and Airy made their way to Rose's house, hoof in hoof. "I hope we're not the first ones to arrive. That's always awkward for me," Scamps said.

 

They finally arrived at Rose's house...er, hut, and Scamps knocked at her door and waited for Rose to come out and invite them in.

Moonbeam had arrived at Firecracker's house and she knocked on the door. They were going to Rose's house together, and she was so excited! She tried to contain herself as she waited for her coltfriend to come to the door.

 

She had to admit, despite all the tragedy of the trip, she was so much more happy now, with both Firecracker, the stallion she wanted to spend her life with, as well as all of her new friends. Moonbeam smiled, pleased with the world.

(OOC Give me a second, I should probably control Airy for a second) Scamps and Airy made their way to Rose's house, hoof in hoof. "I hope we're not the first ones to arrive. That's always awkward for me," Scamps said. They finally arrived at Rose's house...er, hut, and Scamps knocked at her door and waited for Rose to come out and invite them in.

Rose heard a knock ring from the front of the house. "We're out back!" she called. "The table's out back!" She smiled, and looked at Bright Spark, taking his hoof in hers, as they waited for everypony else to finally, finally arrive.

"Okay!" Scamps called back. She and Airy ran to the back of the house and saw Rose, Star and Somber making the final preperations. "Hey Rose, Spark, Star and Somber. I'm glad we're not the first ponies here. Anywho, how's everypony been doing? You know, besides....better, since anything's better than our situation a week ago."

Rose shuddered slightly. She wasn't doing great. She was tired. She coudn't sleep. She still had nightmares... The screaming wouldn't leave her... The skeleton of the forest haunted her every dream... 

 

"I'm doing all right. How are you, Scamps?" Rose asked, suppressing the memory of what she would have to return to that night, too.

[Windy Scamper 403]

"I'm doing alright," she replied. "My wing is...healinf," she said, stariing at the bandage. The burn ha dbeen bad, as the lava had been pretty fresh. But in a way, the burn brought back good memories....Airy had proposed to her directly after, saying how she was lucky it was just a burn....

 

Then Scamps remembered thar she still needed to bring up the proposal. 'Wait until everypony else is here....' she thought.

Star smiled at Moonbeam, Firecracker, Scamps and Airy as they trotted through the fence. "Hey you guys. And I am doing Wonderfully." She smiled at Scamps. *Why isn't Stacy here ?* She thought, Sitting down next to Somber.

Firecracker opened the door, It was obvious, It was his marefriend, Moonbeam. He then hugged her for a moment. "There's going to be a party hosted at Rose's? Sweet..." he commented. Then they both headed to her house. When they got there, they trotted though the fence to where the party was getting going.

Things felt almost awkward for what he was about to do. All of his aquatences from the boat were here. "Actually rose, i have something to ask of you." He smiled as he got up, and shifted over to rose's side. He shifted his right set of legs onto his knees. "I-I know that... That I may be pushing things a little, and I'm sorry to put pressure on you. But, i feel like the time is right. An- and i love you rose." From the bottom of his hat he pulled a small velvet box. "Again im sorry if I am pressuring you, but..." he opened the box to reaveal a golden ring "... would you do me the honour, of bieng my wife?"

Somber sat down next to Star, smiling and hugging her. He may have been getting more and more active and happy, but it still didn't change his shyness to anyone. He was enjoying getting to see his friends again... He loved his new life, living with Diamond and Star.... The old Somber was gone... And the new Somber was here to stay.

Star hugged him back and Smiled. *How could life get any better ?* She thought, Looking around at Roses lovely Garden.

She looked back at Somber and held his hoof. *I have Somber...That terrible trip is over...And I'm home." She smiled.

"Yup! It's going to be wonderful!" Moonbeam proclaimed as she walked with Firecracker to Rose's house, hoof in hoof. At the party, she greeted everyone, put on some music, and danced with Firecracker for a bit. She was very cheerful and glad to be around her friends, but she was surprised when Spark suddenly proposed to Rose. She stopped dancing, looked to Spark, and then to Rose awkwardly, wondering what her response would be.

Rose froze... Looking at the golden ring Spark held... A look of blank shock suspended on her face for a whole five seconds. It was the Open Mic Night, all over again... Except this time, something was different... These were friends, not strangers, that surrounded her... It did seem a bit soon, but... She wasn't anywhere near mortified... This was a different speechlessness... Rose found her voice... And smiled...

 

"I will!"

 

She looked simply radiant as she embraced him.

 

(Meh, it didn't seem satisfying to keep it vague.)

For a brief moment, Bright Spark was worried. She didn't seem to take the question positivley. But eventually she had agreed which filled his hopes. He hugged her tightly, the joyus moment alnost brought him to tears, but he kept them in. He eventually let go. "thank you. I will start planning tommorow. But today theres a lovley dinner between friends."

Star squealed loudly. "EEEEEEEEEEEK. I'm so happy for you, Airy and Scamps now Spark and Rose, I totally call throwing you a bachelorette party...I mean, If you're ok with that." She smiled and placed a big pile of Caesar salad onto her plate.

 

*Life may have been difficult the past week but things are definitely going to get better.* She thought, Smiling at Somber.

 

 

(OOC: Well, This will most likely be my last post. This will be the last time Star is in these series...Most likely...unless we make another RP after the circus one...Anyhow its been fun  )

"Awww," said Moonbeam. She then started clapping, looking around for others to applaud as well. She was so happy for them. She then looked at Firecracker with a romantic gaze, when he wasn't looking. "Maybe..." she thought with a big blush on her face.

 

After the clapping was over, she sat down at he table Firecracker, to enjoy a meal with her friends. Everything was wonderful, indeed.

     Drum-rolls started to go in Firecracker's head, he wondered if what Rose was going to say to Spark, when she said "yes" Firecracker was proud of them. He then wondered about Moonbeam, would they ever be married? "Someday..." he thought, and he smiled.

 

They then went to the dinner table to enjoy a meal. "I'm starving, who is serving the food and what is it going to be?" Firecracker said.
