As Somber broke away from the kiss, he looked deep into Star's eyes, seeing her in a whole new way.

 

"That was... Amazing. Especially with this scenery. I'm glad I decided to accept the free cruise to this place, so that I could've met you here.. Like it was fate.", he merely said.

 

In the back of his head, a new song was forming.

"Really ?" Star blushed. "I have never kissed anypony before." She stared back into his eyes. "I gotta say... The sunset really did make the moment." She said, with a small giggle and looking out at the sun which had now dropped below the horizon. 

She rested her head on Somber's shoulder and smiling at the glistening snow.

"I'm not exactly sure," she responded, "but its getting dark, and it's starting to snow so I think we'll be safe while we look for them. Let's go."

 

Moonbeam pulled Firecracker by the hoof, and she led him across the deck. After a short period of time, they came across Draco, leaning on the guardrail and looking up at the sky. "Draco?" she called.

After Moonbean grabbed Firecracker via the hoof, he ran with her across the deck, Then they encountered Draco. "Hey Draco, what's up" Firecracker greeted Draco

 

"Ummm Staletate, it's starting to get dark out, and it's snowing..." Tailgate said as he saw Firecracker and Moonbeam go over to the side of the ship to meet Draco. "Well he better get back to where he is staying quickly... or else... you know..." Staletate said stressfully.

Rose dipped her head. "Go right ahead, and play it. I'm sure it'll be lovely, I can't wait to hear you."  She really was eager to hear it. After all, music was her talent, right? It was her passion.

Looks like the song is coming along quite nicely in his mind.

 

"Oh, yours too?", Somber calmly asked. "A sunset can really get to be a great background for a moment like this."

 

"Hey, we should probably get back inside. It'll start to get really cold later."

Stacy positioned herself to play. She began to play softly and slowly allowing the song build with rhythmic cords. She slowly got faster but making sure not to go to fast. Eventually she lost herself in the music not even thinking, leaving behind the world and its problems. This..this is what she lived for. But eventually the song came to an end in a sweet harmony of notes. She sat there a while not thinking, trying to hold onto that feeling for as long as possible before returning to reality.

Star nodded. "I am getting a little bit chilly." She said, as a cool breeze cam across the ship.

She shivered and huddled up against Somber as the two of them trotted into the lounge area of the ship. 

"I am so happy I fell through your door." She giggled and glanced outside at the snow that was falling a little bit harder than before.

"I should probably go get ready... I am playing my violin for all the high class diners... that's how I got a little bit of a cheaper ticket."

"Oh? I didn't know you played the violin.", Somber asked with curiosity. "That's really cool. No wonder you 'fell' for me. Get it? Fell? Because you fell through my door?"

 

Even though it was horribly corny for him, he was still forcing a laugh, hoping Star would laugh along.

Rose's eyes were sparkling. She knew good music when she heard it - after all, she was friends with Descant - and what Stacy had played for her was simply spectacular. Rose thought she understood Stacy now. And it gave her a warm feeling to know it. "That... was..." Rose could not even find a word to say how just how amazing she thought Stacy's music had been, and it couldn't have been plainer that she couldn't put what she was feeling into words.

Draco straightened up and wiped away afew tears "Yes?" Draco asked straightening himself up as he heard two ponies call his name. Of course it really didn't matter if he looked like he was run over by a manticore. "Yes what is it you two?" He asked as he looked at Moonbeam and Firecracker.

Star laughed. "That is why I 'Fell' for you so fast... You are so talented at playing music.... That's why I was listening at your door, We should wright a song together... I have a few of my instruments on the boat but most of them are back in Ponyville." She said, Letting out a small Sigh. "Ok... I really should get ready." Star gave Somber a tight hug and happily trotted off to her room.

Stacy looked at rose with a sad expression. "I know its good. But i cant help but feel bad when i play it." She said getting out of the chair and walked to her bed. "In the few hours we've been here ive change. I started changing back to my old self, and i know little hop would be proud. To see me standing here being me again. And i feel empty without her. Were we friends for so long and it end so quickly and suddenly..." She stoped to keep herself from crying. "She was the kind of friend who you thought would never leave your side. But when they do...you break down. That song always reminds me of her." She said laying down. "Losing a friend like that is almost like losing your family." She felt like she wanted to cry but couldnt. There were no more to shed.

Rose knew that now, it was her turn to be there for Stacy. She laid down beside her, and now fully aware of how much it would mean, took her hooves in her own. "Stacy." She simply lay there until Stacy looked at her. When she did, Rose looked straight into her eyes. She could see all the pain and sorrow that were hidden away, deep within. "Stacy. Things are never as dark as they seem. If Little Hop is half the friend you say she is, then she would never truly leave your side. She sits, she waits, under the single light at the end of the tunnel. She's waiting for you to find your way. It's what I'd do. I'd wait until my friend remembered who she was, and then there I would be, waiting at the end of that tunnel to welcome her back. Her one mistake," Rose brushes Stacy's mane tenderly, "is that sometimes you need a nudge in the right direction."

 

 

 

(OOC: Simplified version: I don't think Little Hop has left you at all. I think she's just waiting for you to remember who you are. But sometimes, you need to be given a nudge in the right direction to remember.)

Marisa finished eating and waited for Arcane to finish as well, "Does it always take you this long to eat?" "I'm not you, i eat at a different pace, so be patient" He huffed at her, she smiled back and sighed. "Arcane... what if Sky and me weren't together... what if it was you and me instead?" "Well since this is a 'what if' question i'm not going to act like this is serious. I don't see the point in the question though, if it was you and me, then it would be you and me, and that's all" he shrugged. "Is that really all stallions think of love? That its just something you do and your together with somepony?" "Well, I've never actually been with a special somepony, so i don't know what  you would really do with them" He said and finished off his food. "But surely you must know something. If it were you and me, what would you do for a date?" "Well, honestly they aren't very tasty, so i don't kno-" "No no no! As in going on a date with your special somepony" Arcane chuckled and nodded, "Right, of course, silly me. Well... I would take them on a picnic, on a hill, and we would stay there until it was nighttime, and we would lay there together and talk and look up at the stars... and then i would probably be stupid and lean in for a kiss" Marisa's jaw almost dropped, "Oh my gosh, that sounds amazing... i mean, the rest of it, not the kiss part" she said, even though she would enjoy the kiss. There was quite the long silence before Marisa broke it, "So... uh..." "Look i already know what you are going to say and the answer is yes, once this cruise is over we can go do it on a Saturday" And finally Marisa's jaw drops, "B-b...but how?" "Oh please, I've read ALL your books" he said and got up from the table and headed down to their room.

 

Marisa was shaking with fear, what if she didn't really want to do this? Of course it wasn't cheating on Sky, they weren't together, they were dating, and its legal to date more than one pony. Its more of a 'getting to know you more' thing than it is an intimate thing. But still, she didn't know how well it would go, she had seen Arcane like a brother for so long, but as a special somepony...

 

((Oh cmon, like it wasn't obvious they were going to attempt. But i don't know, maybe i should let somepony else be Marisa's lover, i haven't really given anypony a chance... oh, and just for extra info. Marisa has a normal America accent and Arcane has a slight Scottish-British accent))

(time to wake up. again)

 

Bright spark was having a har time sleeping. he supposed it was everything that was happening. first there was rose, then there was all that talking. and that colt with the guitar, all just little thing to keep him awake. He noticed the sun was still setting, so he trotted outside, and went to ealk over to the other side  of the ship; for privacy. As he walked, he couldnt help but see through the window of stacys room. The scene was a little comforting, even though it probably ment he wasnt getting that date tomorrow. he leant slightly over the banister, and watched the sun set.

Morning star decided he was done patrolling the halls  at least for now so he went about cleaning them to make the custodian job a little more easier but he did so without the use of magic , mostly because he was use to it. As he cleaned  he made his way towards the dinning room.

*shes right, little hop hasnt left.* she thought getting up and took a deep breath. Stacy smilled at rose for a second, and then lightly pressed her lips to roses. Stacys heart beat faster, but she quickly pulled away realizing what she had just done. She sat quietly waiting to see roses reaction.

As the snow fell around them, Moonbeam shivered a little, moving closer to Firecracker for warmth.

 

"It's nothing. We were just passing by, and we saw you all by yourself out here. You look sad. Is everything okay?" she asked Draco with a bit of concern in her voice.  She hadn't known him long, but, regardless, Moonbeam didn't want to see him sad.

Rose recoiled slightly, more out of surprise than anything else. She immediately started chastising herself for not expecting it. 

 

I mean, what did you expect was going to happen? 

 

I don't know, but not that.

 

I'm a fool.

 

Rose smiled slightly. Despite the unexpectedness of the kiss, it had been rather nice. But, for the moment, she needed to get away before any more rash decisions were made. But how could she leave without offending Stacy? She glanced towards the door, thinking. Rose didn't want to just run out and leave Stacy in tears again.

Star happily trotted down the hall to her room. She smiled at Prince Morning Star as she walked by, and then opened the door to her room and trotted in, Closing it behind her. "Today... Has been the Best Day Ever." She thought, Picking up her violin and trotting off towards the upper levels of the ship, Where all the high class diners would be eating.

Stacy was quiet for a while watching rose intensely. She noticed she was eyeing the door. "I-im sorry. You can go if you want, ill be fine. I understand if you do." Stacy hung her head with regret. She couldnt get mad at rose for wanting to get away, it was understandable. "You know i should get to sleep anyways...bye. I guess." She then jumped into bed and curled up into a tight ball for warmth.

Rose didn't leave right away. She wanted to leave on a positive note. "Stacy, thanks for letting me come and talk to you." She began to walk out, but when she was halfway through the door, she turned back, blushing, and said, "It... was nice." She walked out of Stacy's room, and, not knowing where to go, started back to her own room. Maybe she'd take a nap.

 

(It was referring to the kiss, by the way.)

"calm yourself spark. You cant get mad at roses desisions" It was what Bright spark was repeativley saying in his head. it was starting to get dark, But he stayed nontheless. he was also getting a little worried, about his friends and family back at ponyville.

Stacy laid in her bed the whole thing replaying over and over. She hoped that tonight was all that she needed to get rose to chose her but something told her spark isnt going to make it so easy for her. She had to be prepared for whatever he might throw at her. And with that last thought she feel asleep.

Once star had arrived at the dining hall, She put on a small bow and trotted up onto the stage. She Bowed, Took out her violin gave it a quick tune, Smiled at the rest of the band and started to play.
