"I...I'm okay," she said softly. "We just have to get to the others and get to safety." Then the cold sea water washed over the two of them, chilling Moonbeam to the bone. She shuddered. "We...We have to keep going!" she said, holding back more tears. Why did everything have to take such a turn for the worse?

"Okay, lets get up to the deck before this ship splits into two!" Firecracker said while shivering from the wave that just hit them. Then they went up the emergency stairs that lead them up to the deck, with salt water following their path. They then got to the deck where most of their friends were. "Hey, who crashed the ship, the Seaponies? But seriously, what are we supposed to do?"

Star was a little taken aback by her friends just ignoring her but she still followed them up the stairs and onto the deck. "S-Somber... I am not going to leave you... If this turns out to be something like that movie... You Are going to come on the life boat with me ok ?" She said to Somber as they got to the deck where several lifeboats where being prepared to leave.

[Marathon 562]

Stacy folowed Spark and Rose tripping over herself a few time with the wind blowing. After a few minutes they reached the life boats and stacy waited for rose and spark to get on first as she wanted to make sure that they atleast made it out. "You guys go on first. I'll wait." She yelled over the wind.

[Undyne 1,483]

"Of course. I'm not leaving you either. Now, let's hurry. There's not much time before this thing sinks.", Somber basically said to her. They walked over to one of the lifeboats, where it was already finished. They told Somber to go ahead and get in, as Somber nodded.

 

As he entered, the boat was swaying a little more, until the worst had happened... The cord connecting the boat snapped, and dumped all of its contents... Including Somber.

Bright Spark got onto the lifeboat, and helped rose down. the whole idea of ladies first was thrown out the window to him, but he still had to help them. after heping Rose down, he returned his gaze up at the boat "ok, you get on now." he lent a hoof to help her on.

"SOMBER." Star Screamed.

The boat had fallen before she could get in. She was about to fly after him but she felt one of the crew members grab her before she could.'No No No No No No No NO." She said, Tears falling from her eyes."Fly back up, Fly back up. Somber... Fly Back Up." She thought.

Rose looked over the side of the boat, dangling. She saw Star, screaming trying to get in another boat that had already departed. Her feathers were held at odd angles, but Rose could see Somber's head in the boat. She understood. "STAR!" Rose hollered, hoping Star could hear her over the roaring tempest, "COME UP HERE! WE CAN GET YOU TO HIM!"

This was déjà vu... He remembers this. It was like that time he dropped from Cloudsdale... Somber was trying to get his wings going again, but the drop rate was too fast. He couldn't get them in time. He crashes into the water, as he sunk a good couple of yards down...

Stacy stood still a few seconds until her brain told her Spark told her to get in. She stumbled forward and nearly tripped into the boat. "Ok im in.....i think." She said looking around to make sure she had made it, but it took her a while to register that she had.

Star was in shock. She stared at the spot where the boat just was, Then the crew member the had grabbed her before started moving her towards the boat where Rose, Stacy and Bright Spark sat. "This isn't happening, this isn't happening, This isn't happening." She was muttering as the crew member helped her into the boat.

Moonbeam just shrugged nervously. There was a life raft still boarding so Moonbeam dragged Firecracker over to it, pushing through the crowd, and getting on the boat with Firecracker. One of Morningstar's guards, who was helping with evacuation, tried to object, but a sudden ferocity arose in Moonbeam so she gave him a terrible look that caused him to back away. She and Firecracker were getting out of this!

Their boat was lowered to the water. Rose had overrode the guard's complaints that their life boat had an extra pony in it. It didn't make sense that a life boat was only supposed to hold three, anyway. Rose looked out in the water, at the roaring waves, for the sign of a mane. "Star! We can save him if you help me find him!"

"Oh no!" "What is it..."  "The ship, It's starting to sink." "Well we can't get his DNA if were dead, so let's get out of here!" "Agreed." Staletate and Tailgate got out of the bridge. Staletate had brought an inflatable raft with him just in case, they saw Firecracker and Moonbeam evacuating out of the ship, even if they were to lose him, they could still track him via the GPS device.

Star ignored what Rose had said until a small voice in her head said. "Star. Its not over, STOP ACTING LIKE A HELPLESS WRECK." Suddenly the waves and wind sounded much louder and Star looked up at Rose. "OK." She said, Looking around for any sight of Somber.

She looked down into the water and could just make out a dark figure. "THERE." She said.

And before anypony could stop her, She dived into the water, Ignoring the searing pain that pulsed through her wing.

"STAR, NO!" That hadn't been Rose's plan at all. She magically lengthened the stem of the Star Rose into a state that it was practically a rope, and tied one end around her waist. "I'm going after her, and you can't stop me," She told Spark and Stacy. "Hold on to me." She gave them the other end of the stemrope, and dived into the water after her friend, disregarding the searing pain in her leg.

"NO-NO-NO!" bright spark said, while holding onto the rope. *for a pony who likes nature, she sure is mental* he thought to himself. whatever the plan was, he wanted her to come up alive. "stacy, come help with this rope. im not having her drown and i dont think you want her to either."

Sadly, to what Star had was just a giant pile of seaweed....

 

Somber was a lot farther from them, deeper than that patch of seaweed, due to the waves engulfing him. He finally opened his eyes, seeing he was in water, and that his right backleg was encased in seaweed... He frantically tried to squirm out of it, and reach the shore.

Stacy didnt notice what was going on until spark told her to help him. She franticly looked around and found him holding a rope. She rushed behind him grabbing the slack not sure what to do. "Wh-what happened? Wheres Rose and star? I thought they got on the boat." She yelled over the wind.

Morning star saw sombra go under the freezing water so he jumped in after him he no longer cared what happen to him but his duty was to rose and to the ships crew, and he would  make sure that the crew were alright, as he dived under he saw sombra in tangled in sea weed so he began to cut him lose.

As Rose swam, she cast out with her magic. She felt the seaweed grabbing something far away, and then the seaweed being hacked and slashed at. Grimacing, she used her magic to cause the seaweed to weave itself into a small raft, hopefully enough to hold a single pony. Not sure whether who or what had been trapped within it, or what had been attacking it, Rose pulled her head up over the water. She gasped for breath. Then she went back in, squinting, trying to find Star.

Somber felt something tugging at his leg, then saw the seaweed snap under him by some magic, along with some other pony helping him. Before that pony did anything, a current rushed by and picked Somber up, pushing him farther and farther away from the scene...

Morning star saw rose and swam towards her. he hoped that she saw him laying on top of a floating briefcase   he was freezing so he called out to her."Ro... ro... Rose over here"! Morning star was hardly hanging on but this was his goodbye to her before he went to be with sapphire.

When Star got the the dark shape she discovered it was just seaweed."Buck... Buck buck buck." She thought, Looking around frantically, Until she ran out of air.

She swam back up towards the surface, When her head came out of the water she took a deep breath of air and was about to dive back down to search for Somber.

Arcane struggled to get Marisa to the deck, he had to carry her with his magic because she hit her head pretty hard on a door knob... don't ask how because its obvious.

 

Arcane had finally reached the deck with Marisa close behind, she had a few bruises from when Arcane couldn't hold her any longer and she fell, but other than that they were fine. "Marisa? You need to wake up, we need to get on the life boats"

"Rose thought she saw somber, so she told star to save him. she then got the wrong idea, and so rose had to jump in after star. thats where this rope leads. thats why i need you to stop bieng drunk and help hold onto the rope." his voice was getting a litttle intolerate.
