On the one hand, Gryphon the Brush Off is centered around my two favorite characters, is funny and provides loads of shipping fuel for them if you're into that sort of thing (which I am). On the other hand Swarm of the Century was an all around good episode that I liked a lot. I guess that I'll vote for Swarm of the Century ultimately, although it's by a hair. Rarietty 632 December 8, 2012 Share December 8, 2012 (edited) I'm not a huge fan of either episode, but I admire Griffon the Brush off more, due to the fact that it's an episode of a kids cartoon about bullying where the bully actually doesn't become nice and apologize at the end. I hate the cliche of kids cartoons where bullies act all nice by the end of the episode. It's extremely unrealistic, as in real life bullies typically never apologize, and if they do they are usually forced to by parents or teachers. I didn't mind it in Bad Seed though because Babs actually had a legit reason for being a bully. Don't get me wrong, I like Swarm of the Century, but it always annoyed me how Pinkie just couldn't outright say, "Okay, so I know what to do. We're going to lure them out with music. I need all of your help". Fluffy Pinkie 417 December 9, 2012 Share December 9, 2012 Oh boy this is a hard one for me I'd have to say A dog and pony show I really loved how the episode showed Rairty being cunning and her whining was so funny and Spike's daydreaming were sweet. I also liked the message that showed how not to underestimate somebody. I liked both episodes messages but Fall weather friends kinda reminded me of the tortoise and the hare where slow and study wins the race. I think I'm the only member of the fandom that didn't like A Dog and Pony Show. Since I have two younger siblings and have been on the receiving end of similar whining I felt much more sympathy for the Daimond Dogs than I was supposed to. Dog and Pony Show had Rarity with some of her best lines in the show, and the Diamond Dogs were awesome villains. Plus, Spike's crush on Rarity was the driving factor of the entire episode. Fall Weather Friends tops even that, with a competition AJ and RD. There were some great lessons to be learned from that episode. I also got some kid to give MLP a second chance thanks to that episode. Needless to say, he liked it. #1 Asuka fanboy. Signature created by Thunder Bolt. I'm extremely interested in learning the history and mysticism behind Equestria, and this episode shows us so much, if we're willing to look. I believe the play is actually an origin story to Princess Celestia. Notice the very familiar flash of light as the founders of Equestria step out of that cave at the end. While both episodes are interesting I just loved how we got back stories on all of the mane 6 and how they became what they are today. I will say that best night ever had a good song...
