[That One Techpriest You Used To Know 2,286]

Five years after the Canterlot wedding, the changelings return- in even greater numbers. They imprisoned the Royal Sisters and Cadence and overrun the the rest of Equestria.

However...
They underestimated the strength of the common pony. Everypony has a breaking point, and the community reached those points rather quickly. They started an underground system between most of the cities to perform undercover operations to rid Equestria of changeling control.

 

Ponyville has been chosen by High Command to be the first target. You all shall be assigned missions for the good of the Underground, while the rest of your time will be spent on your own time.

 

Under NO CIRCUMSTANCES should you confront a changeling unless either on a mission or attacked. We need to keep secrecy as our primary tool.

 

 

 

Attention!

 

I am Commander Silicon the Second. Queen Chrysalis, in order to keep the peace and to stomp out the Underground from this area, has commanded me to keep our forces secured in our area. If, at ANY time, any suspicious activity is seen, you will follow them while requesting for assistance. Suspicious activities include:

 

Staying outside past curfew - 2200 hours.

 

Acting sneakily or shadily.

 

Acting confused when asked what one is doing.

 

Any changeling found to be a spy will be executed immediately.

 

If you have any information that will help us destroy rebellion presence, share it immediately.

 

We will defend our empire from the people who so wrongly believe it is theirs.

 

And also, as a side note, Taps are tonight at 2100 hours. Dinner will begin at 1800 hours and end at 1930. Tonight, we have several special ponies- ponies captured from the resistance itself!

[Flying Ace 142]

Ace was walking around the underground base after teh changlings took over. He dodged each pony that were running around taking care of the wonded, repayring weapons or whatever they were orded to do. Sadly Ace didn't get a mission yet so he was walking around to see if anyone needed help.

"My mane looks absolutely dreadful!" Inkscape complained to herself. So many days underground hadn't done her appearance any favors. Not that she was a fickle unicorn, but she did like to look presentable. "How do they expect me work in these dank conditions?" She looked around the small chamber that served as her quarters. It was her job to write reports and relay messages to and from various pony strongholds. Picking up a quill and dipping it in the inkwell with her magic, she began scribbling down her most recent report. "When I moved to Ponyville to work on my writing, I certainly didn't have this in mind."

Usaf sat in a corner of the HQ polishing the rest of his Night guard armor. He had never expected to wear it again after he had left the Guard but now seemed a good time as any to dust it off. 

Buck, is there anyone in charge here? Usaf thought to himself.

He had seen no hint of a commander and the chaos going on around him gave evidence to support he growing hypothesis that there was none

Shape Opal saluted to the commander and began to move away, his 'duties' questionably simple. Since when did ponies even have a scout. He barely did anything but fly near the base looking for any suspicious activity, a rare case so far.

Timeshift scowled and saluted, heading back to her station in Ponyville. She hated being a changeling, she hated her job, and she would rather spy on dragons. She, however, was stationed at Ponyville Library. Shame, she liked that Twilight Sparkle. 

 

She used her magic to stop time for those around her, and then trotted to ponyville. In a couple of hours [for her] she arrived there, took off the spell, and basically it took her less then a second in real time to get there, she trotted inside the library and wrote a note to herself.

Remember, you need to talk to the Queen about dragons. And mention that her horn looks like a oddly shaped branch. That got caught in a nest.

 

But remember to talk positive so she doesn't kill you.

Red whistled as he strolled past the fort wall, wondering why it had to have spikes on the top when it was already a good thirty feet tall. Maybe the intimidation factor? Nah, probably not. Oh, who's that? He watched as Shape Opal flew around the wall, presumably on patrol.

Shade was scouting ponyville from the everfree forest...

 

She was the queens apprentice, and the queen had sent her to keep an eye on things...

 

She was her normal pony self... But a changeling... She always denied being a changeling because she's not... She's a halfling... She is a normal Pegasus, a Pegasus who was good with lightning, her cutie mark was a black thundercloud... It ment good with creating storms... But she was also a changeling... Deep down she knew it was true... But he had all the changelings powers as well as her lightning magic...

 

Since she was sent by chrysalice, she was on her own... She just hopes that none of the minions or the other full changelings get in her way... Since she was a halfling, she could easily take them on with her lightning magic.

Vedana Purity was meditating in silence with the rest of the rebellion, he was in deep thought of the entire situation, thinking of numerous ideas as to how this could of happened, and what is required to solve the issue. "Focus Vedana...I must think on the issues at hand..."

"Listen up!"

 

Twilight stepped up on a podium. "If we are going to do this, we are going to have to think! Everypony has been assigned to a group, headed by me, Rainbow Dash, Applejack, Fluttershy, Rarity, and Pinkie Pie." A cannon went off behind her, sending confetti in the air and causing Twilight to jump.​ "Thank you for emphasizing my point. Everypony..." Six scrolls appeared behind her and pinned themselves to the wall. "The members of each team are on these. Please find your name by dinner. Your first missions will be given tomorrow. Thank you." She stepped down and walked back into the crowd.

Sky Warden landed a hit on the dummy. This one was hard and right on the neck. He spun his wooden stick above his head and landed another hit right on the top on the head. He didn't think at all. He just focused his mind on the dummy, his wings, and his stick. He flew to the side and gave the dummy another hit on the back as he darted to the other side.
He stopped hitting at the dummy and took a deep breath. He lowered his head to see his stick. He snorted, "False side...again". According to the red paint on the edfe on the stick, he gripped his stick reserved. The dull side on the attacking side and the sharp side on the back side. He didn't blame himself though. He's used to use the dull side, since he didn't want to kill anypony...or changeling.

[Earth Saphina 35]

Earth Saphina trotted along the street in the underground base. She had to prepare more medicine for the wounded ponies. They were running out of regular medicine and must rely on the herbal one since they had many unused plants on the underground base, and that made her busy.
After she prepared another medicine, she took a rest near the training ground. she spotted a light blue pegasus who was training with a dummy. she knew that stallion, "Hi Sky! how's your training?" she said as she walked closer to the stallion.

Sky Warden heard somepony called his name. He glanced around and saw Saphina walked towards him. He blushed a little and spun his stick quickly before he landed so Saphina wouldn't have noticed his reserved grip.
"Oh hi Saphie. The training? Well, you know...fine as usual. Just need a little speed for my wings" He sighed when he said his last sentences. Flying speed was the only thing he always failed to master.

Ace got up and went over to teh scrolls "lets see not with rainbow...not with rarity...yay It looks like im with Pinkie Pie." Ace said.

[Earth Saphina 35]

A particular voice reverbed in the underground base. Saphina simply grabbed Skies hoof and pulled him all along the street.  "Look!" she pointed her hoof to six scrolls pinned on the wall. she skimmed the scrolls for her name. she saw her name in the Civilian Assistance under the command of Fluttershy. "Oh look Sky! I'm in the Civilian Assistance. how about you?" she said as she turned her head to Sky Warden.

Inkscape stopped in front of the scrolls, nearly running into Earth Saphina. "Oh, so sorry."  She turned to the scrolls and scanned them for her name. "Espionage," she said with a roll of her eyes. "They already have me using up my best quills to write up all of their war reports and relay messages. Before you know it, I bet they'll be asking me to run them, too. Talk about needing some new recruits. I can't do everything, now can I?" The rant was mostly to herself, but her nature always sought attention from her fellow ponies.

Salem stood in front of his changeling division, staring with a look of contempt at the soldiers he'd been given. An average group, no distinctive individuals...

 

"So. This is what the mighty queen gives to an ambassador? I was expecting to see the elites, not footsoldiers..." he paced across in front of his troops. "It's up to you to prove to me that changelings are more than just parasites. So far, I'm not convinced..." he leered at the small group. "As you can clearly see, I do not share your insectile genes. I'm a Tondrake, most powerful of the lot. That may not be saying much, after all, we're not exactly empire builders, but it still means that around here..."

 

He paused for effect.

 

"I'm in charge." Salem continued to pace, carrying on with his speech. "For those of you who don't know what a Tondrake is, then look it up. I'm here, on such poor fortune, because our gallant ruler has decided that he wants a chunk of Celestia's empire, and that the best way to achieve this is to form an alliance with the changelings, and help conquer these lands. Personally... I'm amazed that you primitive flies have the ability to speak, much less conquer. But.. as I have been told, you have shapeshifting abilities. An interesting party trick, but nothing more. A true soldier can see his enemies a mile off, regardless of appearance." Salem looked down on the group. "So. I think that to start, we should take a little trip around this town of ours. I can judge your abilities and meet the enemy. So... let's move out." he paused.

 

"And by the way... If any of you cockroaches disobey an order... you'll meet the anger of a Tondrake noble..."

 

With that, Salem strode through the door, his meager number of troops following with slight confusion and fear.

Shade walked Where all the ponies were looking to see which team there on...

 

She walked up to the list and looked at them... She quickly wrote her name under Rainbow Dash...

 

She looked around and saw that nopony saw her... She then stepped back waiting to see what the other ponies are up to

Usaf glad to see some form of leadership, finished polishing his armor. He got up and walked over to the list.

 

"Hmm. No real military leadership on here but they are the Elements. AJ and Rainbow Dash could probably hold their own."

 

He signed his name on the scroll just under Shades. "Well that's done now I just wait for some commands."

Vedana listened to Twilight's words whilst meditating, he landed on his hooves, standing up. "I guess it is time to find out who I am with...But first I think it is time to sort out dinner for the rest of the ponies." The Blind unicorn said as he trotted over to the underground base kitchen and began to prepare dinner.

Red strolled into the library, completely unaware of whatever was going on at the message board. He yawned and sat down in a chair, waiting for Standoff to arrive so he could give him the recon report for the day. He saw a yellow and pink pony at the message board and waved to get her attention.

"Right," Salem announced as his group reached the street, "It's time for you to instigate fear, and oppression into these fools. Could anyone give a suggestion of how to intimidate these ponies?"

There was no answer, and Salem sighed. "Typical. Well it seems that I've been given the job of teaching you soldiers to rule." The lizard suddenly kicked out a leg, knocking over a display of apples from a market stall. "Step one ladies, cause chaos. The enemy aint going to prosecute you when you rule over them."

The stall owner walked out from behind to chastise Salem, but stopped dead upon seeing his foe and his foe's team. Salem promptly strode up to him and, with a single flick of his tail, knocked the owner to the ground. "Step two," Salem announced remorselessly, "Don't take any trouble. If any one of these multicoloured equines attempts to give you hassle, then you give it back to them." He looked down on the terrified stall owner. "Step three. If the hassle continues, then you kill them."

The owner remained wide eyed and silent, replicating the hush that had fallen across the market. Salem smiled coldly, "Good boy." He kicked the stall owner then continued walking, followed by his unit. "The ponies will soon learn that if they protest, then they end up dead. Sometimes, an example to others is better than forgiveness."

[Jonesy 40]

Vokun walked over to the scrolls on the wall, "Lets see here, not with AJ or pinkie, Ah there's my name, looks like im with Rainbow." He said to himself, he then went to the training rooms and began to practice using his dagger. Vokun never really like using knifes or swords, but if it came down to it then he would have no problem stabbing one of these devil spawns right in the chest. He eventually gave up on slicing and practiced his throwing which was always his better attack.

Sky Warden skimmed the scouting scroll for his name, but he didn't find his name. He looked at the offensive scroll, no. Finally he found his name in the defensive measures and intellegence division under the command of Twilight Sparkle. He didn't complain about it. Deep in his heart, he was glad that he's not in the front line, but in another side, he was a little disappointed because he would have no chance to test his combat ability. He glanced at Saphina with a so-so look on his face "Devensive measures and Intelegence. Interesting 'eh?"

Inkscape gave her mane a shake. "Well there's no use standing about here." With a sigh that was just a little too dramatic for what the situation called for, she turned and headed back to her chamber, a small and cramped room that served as both her living and working quarters. It was obscenely small, and was probably once used as a storage closet beck before the war with the changelings had  begun. "And I always thought I was a country pony at heart.... I should have never left home." She turned her attention to a small photo framed on her mess of a desk. Removing it from the clutter, she brought it to her with her horn. She gave a small, sad smile. Inkscape gave a quite sigh and curled up on her bed, clutching the photo to her body and letting a single tear escape from her eyes.
