private Evergreen's Garden Party RP

Evergreen was finishing up her preparations for when all her guests would arrive. She was nervous; she'd never held a party before. But she was certain that everypony would like it. Finishing up the last of her preparations  which had included feeding the Amblezonian Flying Fish, trimming the hedges, and shutting away the dangerous Yateveo tree that she kept to keep unwanted visitors out, she sighed, and looked at the large sundial that sat in the middle of the expansive garden estate, near her small hut of a house. It read, six o'clock. Ponies would be arriving at the front gate any minute now. She smiled, and sat on the bench right by the entrance, waiting.

Percussive Force stood outside the door, holding his invitation. It had been a long time since he saw Evergreen, or as she kept telling him to refer to her as "Eve". He knocked on the door three times, looking more at her house. Surprisingly, he never visited her, so he was also curious to see what her house looked like.

Eve heard a rapping at the gate. She hopped up from the bench, and excitedly bumbled over to it. Her first party guest ever was here!

 

One glance through the bars of the gate told her that her first guest was Percussive. With a smile and a wink, vines moved from the bushes on either side of the gate, allowing him entry. She did not use magic to do so. With a smile the likes of which rarely seen on Eve's face, she twirled about, and said to Percussive in a happy voice, "Welcome to the Magical Evergreen Garden!" The atmosphere, indeed, was contagiously cheery, and the air almost seemed to hum with delight. Or was it the plants that were humming, that lined the stone pathways that led through the garden?

[Umbra Thunderwing 82]

Umbra trotted towards them, smiling kindly as he did so. It would be nice to see Eve again after so long. He hummed as he reached the gates, looking around for any of the other guests. "Seems that nopony's around yet, hope I got the time right, it'd be hella awkward if I got here early" he rapped smartly on the gate.

Percussive grinned at Eve. It was so odd to see her so happy. "Great to see you too, Eve. I'm a bit surprised you're so happy tonight. Usually, you're the shy one..", he said to her, surprised by the vines opening up. And the plants that were decorating the walkway. No wonder she says she's interested in plants.

As usaual Little Hop was on time, even walking. Luckily for her it was her day off and she didnt have to deal with any clients today. When she arived at Eve's hut the way was guarded by viens. She asked to come in and the viens made room for her. Pleased she trotted in and looked for Eves to say hi.

Eve wasn't surprised by Percussive's reaction to her mood. She was in her element here, surrounded by her precious plants. She merely smiled gently in response, and flicked her tail at the gate. Two more ponies entered through the gaps in the viney gate. Little Hop and Umbra! She ran and hugged each of them, including Percussive.

As usaual Little Hop was on time, even walking. Luckily for her it was her day off and she didnt have to deal with any clients today. When she arived at Eve's hut the way was guarded by viens. She asked to come in and the viens made room for her. Pleased she trotted in and looked for Eves to say hi.

Umbra walked in with the mare "Um.... hay, y-you know Eve as w-well?" he says, obviously shy around mares,  avoiding her gaze but keeping in step with her, looking around for Eve. He loved parties but found socializing hard especially where mares were concerned.

Mango Soup, who had met Evergreen on the job when Evergreen had ordered mango soup from her, arrived at the party, a stash of mango soup hidden in her bag, in case of emergency. She now trotted up to the gates to the great garden or magic, and she stood in front on the gate. Moving her head left and right looking for a sign of Evergreen, she spotted her and waved, shouting, "Hey, Evergreen? Can 'ya open the gate?"

Eve smiled. So many of her friends were getting here at once! Usually half of them were late to this sort of thing. "Of course," she said, and the gate opened for Mango. She chose to leave the gate open this time, for at least a quarter hour.

Umbra walked in with the mare "Um.... hay, y-you know Eve as w-well?" he says, obviously shy around mares, avoiding her gaze but keeping in step with her, looking around for Eve. He loved parties but found socializing hard especially where mares were concerned.

Little hop smiled at the colt. Just by looking at his stance she could tell he was very nervous. She thought it was kind of cute when a Stallion was nervous around a mare. "Yes, i know her. One of my friends has a 'thing' for her. I honestly wasnt expecting an invitation from Eve considering we have only talked once or twice before." She said trying to make the colt a little more comfortable around her. "My name is Cadence. But i go by Little Hop or Hop." She said with a smile.

Little hop smiled at the colt. Just by looking at his stance she could tell he was very nervous. She thought it was kind of cute when a Stallion was nervous around a mare. "Yes, i know her. One of my friends has a 'thing' for her. I honestly wasnt expecting an invitation from Eve considering we have only talked once or twice before." She said trying to make the colt a little more comfortable around her. "My name is Cadence. But i go by Little Hop or Hop." She said with a smile.

 

He blushed,, mumbling something incoherently, looking square at the ground. "um I mean..... m-my name is U-umbra. I... I'm a friend of Eve's too. Y-your name is c-cute." he said in a very small voice. The pegasus still walked with her, sneaking a glance every so often. "... and um.... I think you're cute"

Hop smiled at Umbras comment. She stopped him, made him sit down and look at her. She then made him raise his chest a little and perked up his ears. "There, you look more confident already." She said sweatly with a smile. Hop had to admit, he do look rather striking.

He was late. But he was fine with that. He opened his closet, there exactly where he had placed it earlier was his suit. It was one of many but it was the one he planned on wearing to his friend's garden party. He put the green suit on and fastened the singular ruby into the lapel. with that he headed to his hat rack, He wouldn't be needing the sunglasses at this party. He chose a green fedora and double checked himself before walking out the door. As he walked he pondered who might show up, he didnt know many of Eve's friends, hopefully some of them could dance.

He arrived at the gate and looked around him. "Hello Eve, I do hope im not to late."

Style walked in to the garden through the open gate and discovered that the party was already under way.

Hop smiled at Umbras comment. She stopped him, made him sit down and look at her. She then made him raise his chest a little and perked up his ears. "There, you look more confident already." She said sweatly with a smile. Hop had to admit, he do look rather striking.

He caught her eyes for all of two seconds, before making a shy, squeaking sound looking at her chest instead, trying to hold the position he was in since she obviously liked it. "Y-you have b-b-beautiful wings" he said, trying to speak up a little, making the British accent in his voice more noticeable.

Percussive took a look around Eve's garden. 

 

"Wow... There's so many plants here... This is so amazing... All of them are so pretty, with their different colors and scents."

 

He walked over to one of the plants, giving it a whiff. He received a foul odor, as he held his snout.

 

"Ok, MOST of them..."

Eve smiled at the latest arrival. "Hi, Style!" She embraced him. "I'm so glad to see you could make it!"

 

She bounced around, seeming all over the place. She flew to the Prancing Hedge Garden, with the leafy statues of rearing and prancing ponies, and a large, grassy open area. She set up an old-timey record player, and started playing the first record, a fast-paced tune.

He caught her eyes for all of two seconds, before making a shy, squeaking sound looking at her chest instead, trying to hold the position he was in since she obviously liked it. "Y-you have b-b-beautiful wings" he said, trying to speak up a little, making the British accent in his voice more noticeable.

Hop was impressed. He was actually holding the stance she had put him in. Most ponies were unable to do so, and being able to really caught her attention. Umbra then commented on her wings and Hop blushed a little. "Well, uh..thanks." She said now looking away in embarrassment. Hop could tell he was attempting to be flirtatious, although weak, they were cute. She continued, "They dont get used as mich as they used to." She ruffled the feathers to shake off being embarrassed. "Youre not bad looking yourself." She said ruffing up his hair a bit, giving him a smile. " Why dont you come with me and we could talk?" She asked as she turned around and waited for him to stand by her side.

Styles looked around the garden. "You have such a lovely home." Styles noticed a his friend Umbra talking to a rather beautiful mare. "Now thats not something you see everyday." Styles indicated the couple with a nod of his head

Rose smiled at Style. "I'd love to dance, but it should probably wait. Not everypony's here yet, and I prefer slower tunes anyway." She smiled, and looked kindly at him. Following his gaze, she saw Hop and Umbra really hitting it off. He was right. That wasn't quite expected. She smiled, happy for them.

"I'm late!" Leaf said in a rushed voice, he had been invited by somepony named Evergreen to a garden party in the Everfree Forest. He remembered his cousin who he was living with, Flip Flair, getting the mail and passing him an envelope with his name on it. "Who is Evergreen? I guess I'll have to find out who she is..." Leaf had headed off to her party a day before, he lived a long distance from Ponyville and he didn't want to miss out on the party, so he went. Leaf had now just arrived at her door, holding his invitation in his mouth, he buzzed the buzzer on the gate then waited.

ArrowLeaf was in the middle of her garden planting some new flowers she had just ordered from the Canterlot gardens.

*I feel like I had something that I had to go to today but I just cant put my hoof on...EVE." She jumped up from where she was kneeling. As she jumped Several flowers around her opened their peddles. "No no no no no no no...Im so laaaate." She muttered, picking up a watering can and quickly watering some of the newly planted flowers. "Gotta go gotta go gotta go." She putt the watering can back on the ground, Picked up her bag and quickly ran out of her garden and through the Everfree forest towards Ponyville.

 

When she got to the edge of the forest she trotted over to the gate leading into Eve's garden and walked through.

"Aw cripes that party was today wasn't it. Sheesh Draco get your head in the game," Draco muttered out as he rolled out of bed. his left wing cramping up "By my ancestors that smarts," Draco walked to Eve's home. He's been there quite afew times to pick up medicene for his asthma.

Eve dipped her head, and excused herself. She thought she could hear the clamor of more arriving ponies. She laughed when she saw Arrow already inside. "Let yourself in, did you?" She punched her lightly and playfully, nodding at the gates to let the two ponies outside, Draco O'malley, and some orange pony, in. She walked up to the orange one, who she hadn't met, now slightly nervous. "Um... Hi." She said. "Um... Who are you?" She tried to crack a grin, but it ended up looking like more of a grimace.

"Oh hey there, you may not know me, but my name's Leaf Orange, nice to meet you, and is the party going on right now?" Leaf said as he introduced himself. he walked through the gates. He started to wonder what the scenery would look like. "So, what activities are going to be going on mate? If there is any?"
