I thought I understood season 3 until I looked at EQD...

(Oh wow, the title of this thread is a rhyme.  I didn't notice that...)

 

I have a question about the season 3 episodes.  You see, everything made sense to me up until recently; 13 episodes and we get 1 per week on Saturdays from 10:30am to 11am.  Sounds simple!  Then I saw things saying that the next new episode wouldn't be for 3 weeks, which ruins my grand schedule.  I didn't think much of this until I noticed the link on EQD to the episode guide, which I took a look at to see if these claims were true.  That just made me more confused...

 

I was able to confirm that Keep Calm and Flutter On is certainly not airing this Saturday.  That was not what confused me though.  For one, episode 8 is missing.  I guess that isn't so bad, because it does mention that the airing order of the episodes is not based on the episode's actual numbers (even though that bugs me.  Things in order should stay in order, grumble, grumble...).  What really throws me off is the apparent nonexistence of episode 13.  It doesn't even mention that it's supposed to be there.  There still is an episode 13, right?  Have they just not updated the page because we have no information about that episode?

They're simply doing reruns. In my opinion, three weeks is not a hefty price for a new Discord episode. Episodes 12 and 13 are confirmed, we just don't have the title or synopsis yet.

Pretty much this, I have been dying for another Discord episode since last he was killed. Seriously, there has not been a better antagonist yet. Luna, Sombra, Queen Crystalbitch... they just sucked in comparison

I'm not sure why people are making a big deal about a two week hiatus. Shows do this all the time. The beginning of a show's season does not go all the way through, every week, from start to finish. You rarely see that. There's at least one, if not more breaks here and there, depending on what kind of show it is. On top of that, I'm even less surprised seeing which episode they're putting the break in front of. Hasbro is fully aware Discord is this show's top villain, and they're probably counting on the fact that people are going to be jumping through hoops for this episode, whether from pure excitement, or because they're anxious to see how it's done.

Really?  I actually didn't know that.  You see, this, in all honesty, is the first television show that I've ever followed closely.  I guess that I just assumed they would follow a nice schedule like that because it makes things nice and equal (like it should be, grumble, grumble...).  Thank you for clearing this up.

Just because it's gonna be off for 2 weeks doesn't mean that they're gonna slap two brand new episodes right in the middle. There isn't any episodes in the middle, it's just a break. (and I think EQD made some typos) 

Just wait for the episode.
