This was an RP idea I had a little while ago but didn't want to post til I'd fleshed it out. Premis below.

 

Time had stood still, or at least, that's how it seemed in the dungeons situated below Canterlot. Even further down than the caves was the prison where the most dangerous criminals of Equestria were kept, not so much as a punishment for those concerned, but to protect all Equestria from them. One particular gang were there, kept in cells that were guarded night and day. This was the Vengence Gang; a group of unicorns with strong magic who had tried to take over Canterlot and defeat Princess Celestia. They had failed, due to the Elements having been used against them and all had been imprisoned.

 

But now, the Elements have switched aliances. Princess Celestia no longer controls the Elements, tho they are still kept within the Castle. The gang know this, from gossip that filters down from above, even into the lowest cracks, and they know where they can succeed where they failed before. The gang has no leader; she was killed the day that the gang fell, a green pony with a grey mane called Starfall. However, the gang are planning revenge for their fallen leader, to take on the Princess, take over Equestria and bring terror to everypony. It is five years on, and everypony has forgotten them... but the Vengence gang will make sure that everypony soon remembers them.

 

Rules:

 

1. No alicorns. Sorry, but alicorns aren't really that common and to have them popping up all over the place tends to spoil an RP in my experience. If you wish to play as a member of the Vengence Gang, you have to play as a unicorn. You can also play as a prison guard; they can be earth pony, unicorn or pegasus. Later on in the RP, other characters can be introduced but for the moment, the RP starts in the Canterlot prison.

 

2. No godmoding, Mary Sues etc. Please try to use proper grammar and spelling, and to post at the very least, a small paragraph. No back and forth dialogue without any action, and no one liners, please. I'd like a roughly equal number of guards and prisoners; if there are too many of one group, I'll ask people to change.

 

3. Have a plot idea? Feel free to tell me about it. At the moment, I'm looking for players; later on, new plots can be introduced. When you post your character, I will read it over and if you are accepted, I will post that you are. If there's any changes to your character, I will quote your post and say so.

 

4. No guns, no crazy weapons or anything like that. This is a MLP: FiM RP, after all. Magic only is used, m'kay? I'll start the RP once I have enough characters.

 

5. I am the DM, remember that. So basically I'm going to be directing this RP; regarding rule 3, any plot ideas you get once it's up and running either PM them to me or post in this thread. Don't just jump right in with it in the RP.

Are additional prisoners who aren't part of the gang allowed? I have three particularly nasty OCs for this, but none of them are unicorns.

Sure; they can be in the prison with the gang and be asked to follow in the event of an escape. After all, such things normally happen in that kind of situation. XD

 

Btw people; I'd like for some people to play guards to save me from having to play all of them. XD Will start when I get some guards.

@ Thunder Knight. Um, it's not really that kind of RP. I'm the RP owner and controller, and I've never even heard of Warhammer, so I don't really want elements of it in the RP. Sorry. Just that I like to stick to what I know.

Why don't you try another evil unicorn? The gang could always use more ponies, and we have plenty of guards. You could be a non gang member prisoner too.

Meh... the problem is, I don't really like being evil. It goes against my religion. I just don't like it. I was able to get away with it in the Multiverse Tournament, because my character was an announcer, and not doing anything evil.

 

So, just a question- why don't you want me to be the main enemy of this gang? He hunts down traitors and prisoners, interrogates them, and then executes them. Though, for the sake of the game, the 'executing' will be kept to a minimum.

I don't want anyone being the main enemy of the gang for a number of reasons, the main one being that I have a plan for later on. Another is that I don't want the RP derailed, which in my experience it tends to be if there's a maverick posting as an Inquisitor or PD. Basically, this isn't how I want the RP to go. The guards will in any case be doing the hunting down and we have enough guards now.

Well, guys, The Roleplay is up now, and so far it has just been me and Diego posting. Get on in here!

 

Jack's enchantment on the prison is made through, and this is kind of gross, blood magic. No, the walls of the prison aren't smeared with blood. That would be silly.

 

The energy in blood is what gives ponies their natural resistance to magic, and keeps unicorns fro dying when they cast spells (I kind of made that up in past RPs, so it probably not actually true, but blood magic isn't real, so...). He's using a small amount of his own blood to cast a spell that basically gives the prison the same magical properties as blood. It's also making Jack need to eat and sleep more than he normally should.

In a fight, he's gets tired very quickly, but he's not planning on walking into your cell. The main drawback is that he doesn't have enough blood to do any of his powerful blood magic attacks.
