"I understand, and I will leave as soon in a minute. But just a little bit of caution, there is alcohol in that punch and I would  be careful drinking to much if I was you." He said, then turning around and heading outside. He walked along the shore when he spotted the pony he had talked to back inside. He sped walked up beside him and started to walk with. "Hello again Star,I think you said that was your name." He finally said after walking for a few seconds.

Star bolted around in surprise, sending a splash of seawater at the unfortunate colt behind him. Quickly he regained his wits. "Oh, um...  sorry about that, you startled me." Star brushed off his hooves.

"Anyway, why are you here? I thought you were off trying to get the love of your life."

Cascade sighed. He was so tense that he wasn't allowing himself to simply enjoy the dance. Thankfully, it was ending, and she drew back to a slightly more comfortable distance. "Well... We should dance again in a bit. That was fun. You just need to relax. You were doing just fine." She turned to walk back into the Entrance Hall. "I'm going to go get something to drink. See you in a bit!"

She grabbed a glass of punch, knowing full well not to drink too much, and sat on one of the stairs on the Grand Staircase, simply sipping and thinking quietly. She didn't immediately notice anypony else in the room.

(OOC: Odd that the second song ended before the first. whatever lol.)

He thanked Rockshire again for the dance and turned towards again towards the refreshment table, being careful to grab a non-alcoholic drink. He preferred not to drink and new better then to drink spiked punch so early in the evening.

He knew that very few ponies actually knew how to dance but he still wished he knew how to convince more of them to learn.

"why do you think im drinking it?" she muttered under her breath. Hop spotted Cascade and decided to go sit by her. As she sat, Hop downed half the glass of punch then set the cup down. Hop let out a long sigh and drank more of the punch until the cup was empty. Disappointed Hop threw the cup on the floor. "Do you have anything stronger?" she asked, her tone angry and shallow.

Star closely watched Styles and Rockshire dance.

She gave them a rather jealous look when Styles kissed Rockshire's hoof.

She took a large gulp and focused on something else. *Humpf.* She thought, Taking another large sip of her punch and staring down at the floor.

Ace looked over when Star came over looking mad "Hey are you ok Star? The last time I saw you, you were enjoying yourself now you look like you either want to cry, punch someponie in the face...or both, what happened?" Ace asked with a concerning look on his face.

He finally said. "Anyways, I am only here because well, being lonely all  night isn't going to be fun, so might as find some company."

"Hmm, join the club, we have t-shirts." Star joked. He scrapped his hoof along the sand, not really sure what to do next. Well, ease the tension, say something nice.

"I-I'm sorry it didn't work out between you two. You seemed...  cute together." Nice work pouring salt on the wound.

Cascade hid her alarm. Hop looked downright terrifying right now. Something must have gone horribly wrong earlier. "Y-yeah, I do," she said. "D-downstairs, in the wine cellar." She desperately hoped that Hop was not a mean drunk as she lead Hop down through the dank, dark, and depressing dungeons to the wine cellar...

"Take your pick," She said hesitantly, arriving at a room. They were so far into the maze of dungeon passageways that it was downright frigid. "The wines are properly chilled... Please don't take more than one, though." Cascade's ears were flattened, plastered to her head. Hop truly was intimidating when angry. Please, PLEASE don't be a mean drunk... I don't want to have to kick you out...

"You should probably go. I'm sorry, I just..." He couldn't finish. "It's a long story."

She chose one she recognized and went back up stairs. When she got back up Hop sat on the same stairs as before and opened the bottle, and began to drink straight from it...

@,

Peachy was surprised we she realized what she had admitted but she was even further surprised when Quip hugged her and admitted his own feelings. Whether or not he really meant it it didn't matter to her she was just happy because he was. "Ah'm glad ta see ya smile." she said embracing the hug before pulling away. "What do we do now that we know we both love each other?

"Alright, I understand." Aarod said, walking back along the beach. "Well Aarod you are doomed for a lonely life at this party again." He said aloud as he made his way back to where the lounge chairs were and sat on one. "You know, maybe getting drunk isn't a bad idea."  He continued to talk out loud as he stood up and  made his way to a bowl of punch where he poured a glass and drank it down right away.

Cascade waited for several moments, for Hop to leave, then galloped out of the dungeons, ears plastered to the sides of her head, past where Hop sat on the stairs now, and out into the Courtyard, the clear area between the castle and the lake. A tear rolled down her cheek. She had never done well with confrontations... Not like that, anyway...

"When are you finally going to come clean old Star?" He spoke to himself softly, noticing as the tide was slowly rising at his hooves. "When are you finally going to tell them?"

@, Quip heavily gasped and took a step back, "Outrageous! I never admitted i loved you, how could you do this to me Peachy!?" he dramatically joked, he laughed and walked over to the other side of Peachy. "How about we go get a quick snack and then dance? Even if i don't know how"

She would have kept running, only to dive into the water and not to emerge for several minutes. She even already had her wings extended. But unable to see where she was going due to the tears threatening to stream down her face, she collided painfully with a pony who was standing at the water's edge. The pair toppled into a tangled pile of limbs, and as she extracted herself, she saw, blurrily, that it was Star Keeper... "I'm so sorry,"  she said, wiping her eyes as she stood up.

Styles couldn't help but overhear their conversation (he was after-all standing less then 5 feet away). he could have sworn it was Celestia answering his prayers. he walked over and greeted the couple. "If you would like I could teach you some of the basics."

What the hell just happened. Star picked himself up from the surf and tried to brush the sand of his coat. His scarf was no reasonably saturated, but was beyond caring.

"Don't be sorry, I was in the way." Star said, not much hint of emotion in his voice. "Are you okay? You don't look that... well. Last I saw you weren't you with Ace?"

Hop watched as Cascade passed her up looking like somepony ran over her pet. Looking at the bottle of wine she realized she had already went through a third of the bottle. *Slow down* she thought to herself but kept on at it. Eventually the room started to move around her and lost perception of everything. She began to feel a little light headed, but being her drunk self ignored it. At this point the bottle was down to a fifth than it had started. Not finishing the bottle, Hop clumsily set the bottle down on the stairs then began to walk around the castle tripping over herself the entire time. After what seemed like a few minutes Hop found herself back in the ballroom, with the music booming into her ears. "Wwwwow! That musicsss loud!" she said to herself, looking around her to see if anypony was around. While doing so she almost fell over.

"And with a sigh, she closed the old dusty book and set it gently back on its self. Wishing for a better day to come tomorrow. So that today can be forgotten and lost in the memories of that book..."

@, (I have to apologize in advance for ruining this opening you made for yourself :< )

Quip shook his head and smiled, "Thanks, but i don't think it will be as special if i... well, i think its understandable that it don't be as special. Thanks for the offer though, maybe afterwards i will take some lessons, could come in handy in the future if we ever become a thing" he shrugged and put a hoof around Peachy's shoulder.

"Well, yeah, I was dancing with Ace, but that was just for fun," she said, puzzled at the tone he had taken, and still sniffling slightly. "No, no, it's Hop." She took a deep breath. "She was so... angry. It was kind of scary."

She realised her wings, which were really more flipper than wing, were still extended, and she withdrew them quickly, hoping that Keeper hadn't paid them much attention. Not that it mattered, though.

"Alright. But be sure to find me when you are ready. Oh, and I did promise Peachy here a dance earlier and I hate breaking my promises. Perhaps I shall find you two later then." That had given Styles an idea. One he wasn't sure he could act on. But he still liked the thought of it. He could see it now; Styles School of Dance! How to Cut a Rug with Class in a Class, with Classy! He chuckled a bit at that.

Aarod dropped the glass stopping himself from drinking more. Aarod no, you do not get drunk. How about you go and listen to the music. He started to walk back to the Ballroom when he noticed Hop. He watched her for a moment then saw her almost fall. Can I help her, will she even let me help her. I can't stand to see ponies like that. His mind now made up, he walked over to where Hop was almost falling down. "Hop I know you are still mad, but even mad you could at least listen to me. Please go and sit down I don't want you to fall." He said, hoping she at least heard him.

"That's a rare genotype you have. Impressive." He gave a small hint of a smile. "Very unique."

Star fiddled around with his hooves a bit more, still being constantly harassed by his own head. "I really don't want to bother you. If you wan't to leave be my guest, I'd hate to be a burden."
