Cello Opal sighed as Hop left, leaving Draco and her still standing at the lakeside. The first thing she could think of is how devastated yet victorious she would feel if she were in Draco's hooves, so she asked, "Are you okay?" It was a strange question, directed at Draco's momentous outburst, as well as the markings on his neck, left from the Minotaur. Few/No ponies were around them at that moment, so she asked, "Perhaps if it were best if we went inside, it seems to be the center of attention at the moment."

Star smiled at Rockshire as she trotted over. "Hey Rockshire...Sorry for kinda forcing that on you...My brain wasn't working...Im shy." She blushed and gestured at the seat next to her. "Soooo...Did you enjoy that as much as it looked like you enjoyed it ?" She giggled. "Im kidding...But Styles seemed nice." She said.

Rockshire smiled back and sat down next to Star. Good... She wasn't mad or jealous.

 

"I just felt weird because I figured that he would try and steal me away from you... And I was afraid that you would be jealous when he kissed my hoof.. Glad to see you don't hate me.", she said, hugging Star.

"No even though I vented it doesn't feel good," Draco said "I am a nice pony when I am angered as you just saw. And I want to go apologize," Draco said as he felt fuilt swell up inside him. "Come on Cello I want to go apologize will you come with me?" Draco asked the mare his eyes showed his guilty conscience. He began to walked to where Little Hop was.

"That's a rare genotype you have. Impressive." He gave a small hint of a smile. "Very unique."

 

Star fiddled around with his hooves a bit more, still being constantly harassed by his own head. "I really don't want to bother you. If you wan't to leave be my guest, I'd hate to be a burden."

 

Cascade flinched slightly, then extended her right wing slightly so she could get a good look at it. Nopony had ever... complimented them. She had always been labelled a freak, because her wings weren't normal... For not being able to fly, like everypony else... The wing shuddered, almost happily, as she looked at it, thinking about Star Keeper had said... 

Not freakish... 

Unique...

 

She looked at Keeper, her eyes no longer teary. Something seemed to have shifted behind them, and in her view of the stallion who stood before her. "What makes you think you're bothering me?" She asked quietly.

Aarod dropped the glass stopping himself from drinking more. Aarod no, you do not get drunk. How about you go and listen to the music. He started to walk back to the Ballroom when he noticed Hop. He watched her for a moment then saw her almost fall. Can I help her, will she even let me help her. I can't stand to see ponies like that. His mind now made up, he walked over to where Hop was almost falling down. "Hop I know you are still mad, but even mad you could at least listen to me. Please go and sit down I don't want you to fall." He said, hoping she at least heard him.

Hop turned to the sound behind her and was met by Aarod. It took her a second to realize who it was, scratch that, a few seconds. When she noticed him she laughed a little. "Angry? Why would I be angry?...." she looked at him in the eye then got closer to where he could smell the alcohol on her breath. "Hey... youre kinda cute." she got her face closer to his, but to her he was about arms distance.

She looked at Keeper, her eyes no longer teary. Something seemed to have shifted behind them, and in her view of the stallion who stood before her. "What makes you think you're bothering me?" She asked quietly.

"It's just I'm not very good with the whole... talking thing. I mean that I can't really hold a very good conversation without somepony getting bored irritated or frustrated." Star nervously pawed the sand. He gave a slight chuckle but it was obviously fake. "I'm just not cut out for social matters."

He must be dazed, Cello Opal thought to herself as he walked in the direction Hop had walked. She quickly caught up to him and told him, "She went in on this side. I think everypony is by the bar or dancing." She began tugging him in the direction of the large doors leading inside.

Aarod couldn't stand the smell. She had drank way to much, and that was for sure. "Come with me." He said, wrapping a hoof around her and leading her away from the Dancefloor and the Ball room towards the Grand Staircase. He sat down, noticed the bottle and moved it aside. He then patted a spot near him. "Come sit down Hop." He said.

Cascade shook her head disbelievingly.  "Really? You seem to be doing something right right now." She looked at him for a moment, eyes flicking over his whole body, and then cast her gaze out over the lake. The aurora borealis that shone over them was reflected in the lake waters. "North must've gone flying earlier."

Rockshire smiled back and sat down next to Star. Good... She wasn't mad or jealous.

Star chuckled and hugged her back. "Its funny...I only just met you an hour ago and...I feel so happy...Much happier than I have in a long time." She said, Hugging Rockshire tightly and smiling.

"I really like you Rockshire. I'm so happy I met you. I know I have said it a thousand times but I am really happy."

Her smile couldn't have been any bigger at that moment. Rockshire continued hugging Star.

 

"You basically just pulled me away from the busy world and into a more relaxed body... Thank you Star... For showing me how to be happy with friends... And I really like you too..."

Star chucked a bit, unlike her he hadn't exactly taken his gaze off of her. He regained his focus, looking out across the water. It was quite beautiful tonight, he had to admire that. If it wasn't for all the drama that came with parties... this would be a perfect evening.

Cello Opal was beginning to get confused by the many names he seemed to call Hop, including Hop, Cadence and something that was similar to Safa, or something like that. She assumed they were like pet names for Little Hop, but it was still weird to listen to Draco refer to Hop as Cadence. "I'm not quite sure how I can answer that, I'm not one who has lived in your or Hop's past."

Cascade was aware that Keeper was still peeking at her from the corner of his eye. She looked back at the handsome stallion, aware that he could see her, and without warning, leaned in and kissed him lightly on the lips. 

 

(OOC: I'm going to refer to Star Keeper as Keeper, and Star Song as Song, to avoid confusing the two.)

North swooped back into the main gate of the castle. The grey earth pony who had taken his place at the door nodded at him, poof of red mane wobbling slightly. The new doorman beckoned North over to him, whispered something in his ear, and pointed at a mare, who seemed barely able to stand. North nodded, and trotted over to the stallion who was sitting next to her. "What's wrong with her?" He asked, quietly enough for the stallion to hear him, but for the mare to not.

"No Hop, I like you, I like you alot actually. However you are not thinking right, right now." he said, scooting a little closer so she wouldn't be angry. It was better if she wasn't angry. Now all I need is to find our host and ask if I can make her some tea. I know somewhere in my head I remember that old recipe that is suppose to clear thoughts and help if you drink an overly lot. He wasn't going to go looking yet however, first he had to make sure Hop wasn't going to get into trouble.

Hop smiled when she realized he got closer to her. "what do you mean, I can think straight as a.... uhhh..... uh... FISH!... wait no..." She sat there for a moment trying to think of some things that are straight. "Hey Aaarondon... Whats straight?" she ask leaning closer to him, her voice almost starting to sound like derpys. Hop then fell onto her chest with an "umph!"

Her smile couldn't have been any bigger at that moment. Rockshire continued hugging Star.

"You have done something for me too...You have made me more confident in myself. I always thought nopony would ever want to be with me but,,,You do." Star's smile widened and she let go of Rockshire then looked into her eyes. "Oh come here." she said, leaning over and kissing her on the mouth.

Star was used to kissing mares before (player) but never had it seemed right, especially when it's the host. After the initial shock followed the aftershock in which he returned the kiss. Every time.

@, Quip heavily gasped and took a step back, "Outrageous! I never admitted i loved you, how could you do this to me Peachy!?" he dramatically joked, he laughed and walked over to the other side of Peachy. "How about we go get a quick snack and then dance? Even if i don't know how"

Styles couldn't help but overhear their conversation (he was after-all standing less then 5 feet away). he could have sworn it was Celestia answering his prayers. he walked over and greeted the couple. "If you would like I could teach you some of the basics."

 

@, (I have to apologize in advance for ruining this opening you made for yourself :< )

 

Quip shook his head and smiled, "Thanks, but i don't think it will be as special if i... well, i think its understandable that it don't be as special. Thanks for the offer though, maybe afterwards i will take some lessons, could come in handy in the future if we ever become a thing" he shrugged and put a hoof around Peachy's shoulder.

"Alright. But be sure to find me when you are ready. Oh, and I did promise Peachy here a dance earlier and I hate breaking my promises. Perhaps I shall find you two later then." That had given Styles an idea. One he wasn't sure he could act on. But he still liked the thought of it. He could see it now; Styles School of Dance! How to Cut a Rug with Class in a Class, with Classy! He chuckled a bit at that.

"That sounds mighty nice" Peachy said before Styles showed up. "Oh yer that pony ah met when ah first got here."

 

She listened as he spoke to the young couple offering some dance lessons. Peachy couldn't help but giggle when Quip but his hoof on her shoulder.

 

 

"Oh that's right ah did promise ta dance with him earlier today." She realized and said as Styles left. She looked sadly at Quip " Ah'm mighty sorry Sweetie ah completely forgot about that." "Dont think fer a second that ah'm interested in him cause ah aint." "Ah'm interested in you and only you!" She said nuzzling him.

Cello Opal blushed ever so slightly, and whispered back, "I suppose I do know a few moves or two." She looked around and realized they were still outside and not inside, where the music was, yet. "I think we should go inside first, though." She stopped in her path. "Unless...you happen to have your own source of music?"

She thought she could sense him recoil for a brief moment, but then he returned, and her mind flew loop-de-loops through the air above her as she never could.

 

The kiss was not a long one, and after it broke, Cascade searched in Keeper's eyes. Something inside them seemed... uneasy. But the look in his eyes disagreed with what he had to say. "Yeah. It was nice." Cascade said softly and sincerely, blushing slightly. Her eyes slid away from his to look at the water that was washing over their hooves, thinking, wondering.

Star you can be narrow minded some times, he knew this but was only just coming to accept it. Maybe he was meant to feel this way about...  her. He never usually felt that way around mares, but she seemed different. He had been very awkward about it and he wouldn't be surprised if she was having second thoughts because of his reaction.

 

"I-I'm sorry about that. I was just caught off guard a bit...  and quite surprised to be honest."
